- In this video we go over what happened to Jango Fett's body after the first battle of Geonosis and the start of the Clone Wars. It is of course based on the EU timeline and the short story goes off way into the future with Boba Fett and his descendants. This story like many others just goes to show how amazing the Expanded Universe is. This is a short version of the lore video that was originally uploaded as a regular one.

@@fankgaming7753I mean you can argue that getting paid to be/work for evil is still evil. Obviously he may not personally align with the Sith/Separatists but selling your soul to the highest bidder in itself can be considered evil. He basically only cared about himself, money, and Boba. There are other ways to be a "simple man just trying to make a living" that are alot less morally questionable.

Jango is my favorite bounty hunter as well. Boba is in second place (before Disney butchered his character). And Cad Bane is cool as well.

That death really bugged me out when i was a kid
Me too like Jango was a main character let main characters have a truly epic clash where Jango was about to kill Mace Windu but Windi pulls some Jedi trick at the last second and defeats Jango. Like Jango was a true bad ass I don’t see him dying that easily he would’ve used his jet pack or something to evade mace window getting that close to him with a lightsaber.

@@badsporttrolln5658I half agree, but you should watch the scene again. He does use his Jetpack but it’s after it gets destroyed in the chaos of the battle- he even attempts to flamethrower Mace Windu- but Mace drops his on fire clothes. I think Jango was cocky because he had taken down other Jedi (or if not in your cannon than hadn’t even faced one before) so he thought Mace Windu would be a lot easier to dispose of- greatly underestimating him.

I like how Mace looks at dead Jango. It was like he was acknowledging his opponent as a warrior and briefly afforded him the honor of one.
what’s even more intense about this is jangos own people were killed by the jedi so it’s a old fight

He tried to use his jet pack right before he got his head cut off but was not fast enough or it malfunctioned.
It malfunctioned, you can even see it spark when he tries. (It was damaged after he was trapped by the reek)

@@bercor4948no one said he had to be a kid in the show. It could take place a decade or two after his showdown with Cad Bane (the one from Clone Wars). Maybe the early days of Boba Fett as a bounty hunter. Maybe we see that job that Cad Bane beat him out on or a revenge plot against Mace Windu.

Obi Wan had already tried to capture him and failed. In the heat of the first major battle in years, who the Hell is worrying about capturing enemies? Jango had killed a jedi mere moments before his death. He was an enemy soldier in a battle, who wouldn't surrender, and was dealt with accordingly

That's what I'm saying, you couldn't have just disarmed him? I get tension was high but jedi were well trained to control their emotions and know exactly what they're doing at all times, so he COULD have just cut his hands off but NOOOOOOOO he had to literally chop his head off...
@@UrBoiEthanMikl that’s the problem as well. Mace never gets criticised for murdering Jango instead of disarming him or cutting off his hand, but Anakin gets flack for killing Dooku and the CIS council.
Vaapad took over in that situation. In the book, Shatterpoint, Mace gives his thoughts about what happened in the arena.
Mace was annoyed, to put it lightly, about killing Jango. As he was deflecting blaster bolts, his fighting form, Vaapad, took over and Mace was in a kind of trance. He thought he deflected another blaster bolt but when he came to, he saw that he beheaded Jango.
He didn't want to kill Jango, only to disarm him.

It potentially even goes further back. I don't believe it was ever confirmed, but a Mandalorian commander during the Mandalorian Wars named Cassus Fett invaded Taris in the KOTOR comics. That's a nearly 4000 year lineage.

Jango requested Boba be given different biology than the clones. Hence why he's had the chance to be a kid, and the others are all born looking like Jango.
