Blazer is a beast, but some of these guys are really sketchy, I'd be worried about my car getting wrecked by those beaters. In the PPV a nice corvette got walled because a guy pulled out in front of him. I'd be so pissed.

This spectator drag was by far the most fun event you've put on so far. Bristol was incredible, Cleetus & Cars is always fun, but the energy of this event was so fun. Even my wife sat and watched the entire thing routing for certain cars!

Went looking for a winning car and it might have been in the stable all along, C7 is about to get some love.
It’s all about carrying the speed through the turns. A couple miles per hour more exiting a turn gives a huge advantage by the end of the straight.

Better than the guys doing it now IMO. How many let er eats can you say in one broadcast? Also they can't have the same announcers for a multi day event like over Labor Day. Those guys get burnt and the show needs a switch up. James could do a shift in the booth. He's good at it.

Jackstand legit has the best racing commentary I’ve ever heard (right around 14 minutes)
Something about this PPV was really really good. I’ve watched almost every single PPV since you guys started, but this was probably the best. The production on this one was really solid and the overall vibe was great - rapid turnover of rounds and constant action. These spectator drags are really great fun and the level of competition is awesome to see.
James did an excellent job calling the races. Maddie's porche did real well.

Seeing this live was AWESOME! We made the trip out to the Freedom Factory while on vacation and it was totally worth it! We’ll be here again, for sure!
I forgot to mention that the PA system at the track was perfect. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a track that had a PA that had that level of clarity while not being too loud.
The spectator drags had great sound and video. The production crew did good.

I’ve seen that guy race spectator drags all over the place different states different events he does it all the time. He’s damn good at it too. He’s really starting to get that thing under control and his belt. Got it dialed in if he’s willing to talk about it. I’d love to see a one on one with him to find out what the drivetrain isn’t nothing I’m sure it’s got a small block Chevy in it but I’d love to know the details because it definitely lays down the power as you can see in the end five race

Definitely deserves an award
Its a bit of a risk though - It could encourage people to do risky or downright stupid stuff for entertainment value so that they win an award, and that could lead to damage to the track, damage to vehicles, injuries or death. There's probably also some insurance liability for Cleetus as the owner if he's perceived to be encouraging riskier driving too, which could lead to events having to be more restricted in the future or even prevent him booking events from other organisers.

In the 90s our track in Odessa Texas paid the top 10 places . I was only 17 and raced every week in my 86 camaro . Brings back memories. I had my 5 minutes of fame ! Always got beat by a 68 Chevy that had a 455 olds and nitrous. Oh and 4 wide slicks .
I just want everyone to know that I race with Justin and his brother Eric Peachey with the SCCA and they are BOTH insanely fast/good drivers. That C6 vette has YEARS of autoX perfection set up to be a national championship winning vehicle.
Seriously, they are best at what they do.

I watched Justin win Time Trial Nats Max 1 in 2021 and 2022 in that very car (I run Max4); then this fall he won LS Fest, MoParty, and Ford Fest - in borrowed cars. Guy is an animal.

That was a lot of impressive racing. The way that c6 carried so much speed at the end, it looked like he was squeezing a 300 shot on Cleeter, but that man was a driver in a unit.

@@BasicDev turbo s has to let partially or fully off the throttle going through the turns while that c6 can just stay fully in it. All about grip in a race like that. You can just see by the launch. Turbo s is gone but by the second corner the c6 is there. Two amazing cars though

I knew those late model turbo Porsches were fast, had no idea they were THAT FAST until Cleeter bought one. The savage AWD launches are incredible, unlike a Nissan GT-R it won't shit the drivetrain after 5 or 10 hard launches. What just blows my mind is even an almost 10 year old 991 turbo Porsche is as fast as the latest and greatest things from McLaren and Ferrari. And the Porsche is comfortable, practical, reliable enough to be a daily driver and rack up some miles.

First event I went to in person at the freedom factory, and it was AMAZING! Great show put on by everybody, and I can't wait to be back. Still feel bad for the ZR-1 that kissed the wall though
That Hardbody that cutoff the ZR-1 was a little wild. He gunned it after completing turn 4 and the wheels broke loose, shifting the truck to the right and blocking the Vette. Could have just as easily shifted to the left, which would have been no problem. That's racin' for ya!

I don't see why everyone wants "classes" as that will dilute the fun. Best part of Spectator drags is the weird / different match ups. "classes" look good in theory but will just cause more boring matchups, less prize money, and smaller fields. I think what denotes a "race car" needs to be more refined, and I think if you have two incidents in a row (looking at you 3000GT) you shouldn't be allowed back. All in all - great event to watch and these are so much fun.
Absolutely. Classes defeat the whole purpose of Spectator Drags. Run what you brung. If your shits slow, just go out and have fun
End of event you could have class races final of the fastest 2 of each class as bonus races and then everyone should be happy?

@@jamestrost8412 He's a bit more afraid to wreck than the Crazy Blazer guy. Can't be scared when you're racing. Felt like Kyle didn't wanna wreck the Porsche either. I think the hatch is on stock brakes? Needs a big upgrade and better coilovers to make that thing a circle drag car.
I went to danger ranger 9000 with my wife and last night my wife and i had a blast watching on ppv. My wife doesnt get into things like this but she does now. Awesome time keep up the great work and cant wait to get the rest of the youtubers involved like atwood, Derek and mat building and doing spectator drags.

What you didn’t show is Justin’s car is a home built autocross car with a plywood splitter and home made wing Justin built himself. It’s making around 550 rwhp. It also has stock corvette calipers, leaf spring suspension, and doesn’t even have a cage. Justin Peachey has a ton of talent.
What I do know is that car is mind-bendingly fast with him driving; I've watched him win 2 SCCA Max1 national championships (I compete in Max4) at NCM with 2:05 to 2:08 lap times. In 2022 he was only beaten by Tom O'Gorman in a 2019 ZR1

@@PhilJue yeah, and with the exception of the tires and delrin suspension bushings the car was stock - or at least as "stock" as you can call a ZR1. TomO was actually coaching me that weekend so I was also following his performance in real time too. And oh yeah, he was driving my e46 on a reference lap when it blew the motor, prompting me to haul back to Louisville and swap for my ND Miata....

Spectator racing is like gladiator style MADMAX competition, entertaining for sure.
Needs to make it awd, rd, and fwd classes. But this was great to watch live. The crew puts on awesome events!

@@1rcracer they could put together some classes to even it out without splitting it just by what wheel drive the car. could stick all the awd cars in one class, but things like crazy aero stuff (like that vette) and things like R compound tires also run in that class.

The car that eventually won holds a currently standing Pike peak record so any of you that participates and lost shouldn't feel bad. Cleet did let basically full race cars into the event so the lap times were extremely fast. That blazer is the jam and by far the best race of the night.

Worth noting. That Tesla's record at Pikes is for EV on a shortened track. It placed 10th overall that year, but 1st in it's class.
The all time EV record still belongs to the ID R though, and that's also full length. Not that this Plaid is bad or anything. He still has quite a feat.
