You've sold me on KHHI's work. I found your designs completely accidentally, while searching for a bowie that's not mass-produced, rat tail tang, stainless steel trash. What's terribly sad to me is that it's so difficult to find hard use bowies like this, for a reasonable price, here in the US. It's essentially our national blade, and yet our market is flooded with garbage produced in China, Taiwan, or Pakistan. Your only other alternative is to commission a custom, or purchase an incredibly expensive semi custom such as Bark River, Dark Timber, Busse, or similar. The quality and pricing of your KHHI designs simply cannot be beaten. Thank you for bringing life back into the bowie market!

Best knife channel :) I'm recovering from a knee operation and I have your dbad mission knife its a beauty but unable to use it till i get back to walking again. Dam knee injuries take the fun out of the summer . The predator Dutch machete I have managed to test it and it cuts easy with a lot of weight in the blade makes it effortless. I would like to see you redesign the predator dutch machete.
I did a first draft redesign on that blade. I need to finish it up. For inspiration, I recently got to hold the movie knife. The real deal is pretty impressive in the hand.
According to my "Knife Steel Composition App" it is quite near to the 52100 of my Drop Forged Survivalist, but 5160 appears to be a little better in toughness, especially when hardened to mid 50's Rc.

Those movie knives are awesome!! I been wanting the Rambo knives forever and all I could find are either wall hangers that tell you they aren’t meant to be used or really expensive licensed knives which don’t look much better. It’s a pity that a $100 knife costs $45 to ship but it’s still worth it.
Got my mission 3 😁 I tested it batoned seasoned firewood and chopped its fast becoming one of my fav knives. I carry it everywhere tough blade I love it. Great job on design. I got the 10inch blade I'm a short guy and like 10 inches better. Getting heartstopper sometime.

Just like you and Scab I will put my preacher up against anything that stands before it, but for practical use the ultimate camp knife is rapidly becoming my beloved knife. I may start using it for food prep for the Keto diet to get my 260# ass back in shape...lol

Here's a true test for ya, how about you take the $99 buck GCK in 5160 Paul Bos heat treated and take them edge to edge and see which is victorious or ends with the most damage now the buck is half as thick so you'd automatically assume your preacher should come out on top but I have a very very strong inclination that it will be the other way around lol

Hell or even do the good ol Kabar edge to edge I'm not confident in the stick tang, I am confident in the steel and the heat treatment of it lol I will do the same in the kabar if you damage one beyond repair going edge to edge then I will ship you a replacement! How can you turn that down???

@@DonnieBAllDay also you spoke about the stick tang but that is only on the combat fighting knives but the beckers with full tang will definitely stand up to the kukri house knives the only place where it may be an issue is the fact their edges are razor sharp and thinly ground but if the edge was laid down at the same grind angle as the knives you designed then I would venture to say the kabar would be tougher...
@@DonnieBAllDay I have never seen it done that way. I wouldn't call that a chop, but a smash. That would be semantics however, and I wouldn't want to damage my edge either. I definitely understand why you used the technique. Just using different definitions for the word chop I guess.

5160 is awesome I live in a place where swamp ass occurs .36 seconds after walking outside and my damn preacher ain't rusted yet.

I never said I didn't use the spine. The spine is thick. Only a fool would use the edge. I checked the entire knife

I add a few drops of Rem Oil then rub it on thick. Once set in, a light coat for maintenance every once in a while

Just like you and Scab I will put my preacher up against anything that stands before it, but for practical use the ultimate camp knife is rapidly becoming my beloved knife. I may start using it for food prep for the Keto diet to get my 260# ass back in shape...lol

Here's a true test for ya, how about you take the $99 buck GCK in 5160 Paul Bos heat treated and take them edge to edge and see which is victorious or ends with the most damage now the buck is half as thick so you'd automatically assume your preacher should come out on top but I have a very very strong inclination that it will be the other way around lol

@@DonnieBAllDay also you spoke about the stick tang but that is only on the combat fighting knives but the beckers with full tang will definitely stand up to the kukri house knives the only place where it may be an issue is the fact their edges are razor sharp and thinly ground but if the edge was laid down at the same grind angle as the knives you designed then I would venture to say the kabar would be tougher...

You used the back of the preacher to break the knife. I slowed it down frame by frame. Did you break the other knife? Yes. Chop? Not so much.
I chopped it with the spine. Same way any normal person would open a coconut
@@DonnieBAllDay I have never seen it done that way. I wouldn't call that a chop, but a smash. That would be semantics however, and I wouldn't want to damage my edge either. I definitely understand why you used the technique. Just using different definitions for the word chop I guess.

Good video brother, a lot of great knives, my favorite is the Bowie knife but if I could have all why not, a friend of mine is a big fan of the walking dead and he has a lot of these knives he was wondering if maybe in the future you could make the Daryl Dixon Bowie knife I did some research and they are pretty cool but they would need to be made better and I think you are the one that could do it I have seen on the internet a lot of people has wanted this knife but nobody makes it the actor that plays Daryl Dixon design the knife but I think you could make it better my friend asked me to ask you, personally I think they would sell really good a lot of people like that show Daryl Dixon is the main character that might actually help sell the knife even more my friend asked me to ask so I asked any way like the knives brother stay wild God bless

Hmmm....I watched it like 3 times you would of fooled us by making us think you used the blade but the second time you stoped and we seen as you pulled back you turned knife around the first time you stop just for a second and we seen how you hit with the spine......but its ok I still liked your video
