As we celebrate the recent Compasso d’Oro Career Award for Products for Gio Ponti’s D.154.2 armchair, M Magazine invites you to discover the history of Villa Planchart in Caracas, Venezuela, the private residence commissioned in the mid 1950’s by Ponti’s clients, art collectors Anala and Armando Planchart, and designed from floor to ceiling - including the furniture and interiors - by Ponti himself.
67 years after its completion, M Magazine returns to Villa Planchart to uncover the stories held within and the legacy built upon that fabled Caracas hilltop that continues to influence design history today.
