    Your videos are among the best I’ve watched. I’m curious if you’ve ever thought about entering one of your best into like a film festival? To me you’ve got the story line of the century. Your intro’s and outro’s speak for themselves. Reminds me to tell you your editing skills are Amazing. Great job Ed. Your channel is my favorite on RUclips. I so appreciate the extra time it takes to film them. I know it takes at least twice as long to get a job done. We appreciate you allowing us to be along on this journey with you.

      If only you knew how amateur I am at editing. (Self taught) The editing program can do so much more but I don’t have the time to learn it all. I just pick up bits a pieces as I stumble upon them.

    Ed you really are living the dream. An amazing place you have. Just so beautiful. Alaska is stunning in every season especially from your vantage point! Looking forward to seeing the workshop build and the greenhouse completion.

    Way to go Ed. I am at my cabin building a dog run between the main cabin and the bath/laundry cabin. Would like to send pic, but can't figure out how. Have a black bear and two cubs roaming around. Have them on trail camera. Caught a couple of nice rainbows this morning. Trout, fried taters, and brown beans for supper. Have a great day and watch out for the bears.

    • @MountainMariner
      @MountainMariner  5 месяцев назад

      Try fresh trout and scrambled eggs for breakfast once. Sounds weird but it’s a great combo.

      I will give it a try. Leaving for camp in the morning. Will fish my way up the mountain.

    It's easy to see the appreciation you have for entire area around you. You keep it so tidy & well maintained. Good that you have such nice weather for your many projects. Fresh outta rain to send. That snow shovel just can't catch a break can it! 😊

      I try to keep things clean! 2 broken snow shovels going back to town on the helicopter. RIP shovels, you shoveled more snow than ordinary shovels ever get to in a lifetime. 🫡 🪦

      I prefer the snow. But the green lets me get prepared for winter, when certain tasks can’t be done.

    We haven’t had rain either in at least 2 weeks. I hope your water catchment system is holding out and you get rain soon. If not, you might just have to take your Ivory soap down to the lake and do a little skinny dipping.

    • @MountainMariner
      @MountainMariner  5 месяцев назад +2

      I have 35 gallons in the cisterns but 66 gallons in my water jugs. I only use around 3-4 gallons a day so I’ve got about two weeks worth. It’s just nice when it rains and I get the fresh cool mountain water filing the cisterns.

    Are there any Elk on your mountain?
    Cheers

      I will NEVER live near a city. This is where I want to be forever. No ELK here. Some of the AK islands have elk though.

      Me either. Although l am not on top of a mountain l only get an occasional car come down my mile long driveway. Love the peace a country home offers. Well grandkids live on same acerage...they are wonderful little beings. My lake has fish. It seems mountain kakes are too pristeen to support aquatic life such as fish, sometimes.
