Be interested to see the difference if any the filter makes on a dyno. Could trial the 3 in and 5 in side by side. I reckon whatever kw you make, you will lose in L/100km by having a block of flats on the roof rack. If it's all low speed off road fair enough.
Roothy, please for gods sake do not, I repeat DO NOT buy an Engel fridge/freezer! Support local businesses and go for a short 10 minute drive and buy yourself a Australian made Trailblazer fridge/freezer. Trailblazer is and Australian owed business and all fridges are made on the sunny coast QLD. Your battery's will thank you for it and the best thing is a 60l engel has the same footprint as a 85l trailblazer. So go and hit old Margaret up for a piece of art for Milo 2! Ps your handbrake will thank you for it!
Milo 2 looking great Roothy, are you gunna do anything about the battery for protection from rocks hitting it from the rear tyre, it looks a little open to damage,
If splitties were the original and the traditional tubed steel rim, then Sunraysia style are the next more modern and the new traditional, bulletproof tubeless choice.
Please drop that Donaldson down into the rack a bit. Thing looks about 8ft high and will knock down low flying news choppers. AND you won't be able to go through maccas drive throughs for coffee...
Good fridge made local the Sunshine Coast I think, they are heavy and expensive for the size, but very solid units. Also I think the dual zone ones have two compressors.
Why wouldn't you just talk to moonlight fabrication and get their 4 inch snorkel and 4 inch Airbox that runs a washable Duramax panel filter? They can feed 1hdfte's running 40+ psi all day.
The Donaldson filter has a much larger surface area for filtration. Just as important as outright airflow. Flowing 550+cfm is one thing, filtering it is a whole different matter. The Donaldsons will filter that much air and do it for alot longer than even the best panel filter.
true, but it wont be filtering much when it gets torn off by a low slung branch or if he tips it over and smashed it off and it sucks in a heap of dirt. It is a 4.0 , I know someone who had 3 (one for each of his 4wds) , two of which lived at cape york. One 30-36psi 1hdfte and one supercharged LS1. Never had any filtering issues and just rinse it in water to clean, dry and pop it back in (no oil needed). Not hard to clean it once a day :)
Definitely a nostalgia thing. We have one at home that we only used for out racing beach buggy. They are good but it is a tad big :P . At least it keeps the same "roothy" look haha
You once mentioned no VB ,cans fell out now you older looks like you on the 4XGold 😊won’t be a judge of a mans beer! I bought a brand new tractor 2 nd brand new tractor! 1 brand new work vehicle and 1 brand new moter bike ! 3650 Mahindra 2019 last toy 🥳 Happy to see how with da 4WD Ute…👍🍺🍻🍻🍻 Love to see some DSA / USA MAHINDRA Products especially the Jeep? Looking vehicle,! Especially Quads are out of the market,I mean beast brand quads. Chinese crap only … 🙏🏽😅🇦🇺🍻👁🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺 yes you told me you rather be in jail than parliament! Point taken m8.
forged aluminium rims can be bent back and are stronger than steel, it's only cast aluminium that cracks. the only downside to forged aluminium is cost but if you bought a set of forged aluminium beadlocks you'd have them for the rest of your life.
Hi Roothy..
You know how to put a smile on a mans face..
Milo is a true work of pure LOVE..!!
Cheers Tony 👍🍺

Good onya Roothy, glad your having fun. ☺️
love the donnie!
I cringed before when you said you wanted split rims. There is a reason we don't use them any more. I am glad you are going to the steel wheel.
Yeah, I loved them in the day but can't find any real reason to use them now puncture repair kits are so good.
THANKS VIDEO AS LOOKING GREAT AS FINISH IN TIME
Truck is looking awesome glad you ditched the split rims😃

Looking good John. Awesome to see you putting the Federals on, better then going with the norm and throwing Coopers on.
Great Vid.
Roothy love the steelies.

It is good to see a South African helping the Aussies out

I've had some cheaper steelies before and I agree, they never really balance up properly and bend twice as easy
Damn that's looking good. Might have to sell the Troll and build a truck like this........with aircon though.😜
Milo 2 looking great Roothy, are you gunna do anything about the battery for protection from rocks hitting it from the rear tyre, it looks a little open to damage,
that air filter is about the same size as a 14L td motor in a semi
Ruth. Where would u find a shorty tub like that in vic/aus? Thanks mate. Keep up the vids.
hell id be mounting the donaldson on the passenger side guard and running 5" stainless to the roof rack
Jarrod Žebra I'd do the same it doesn't matter where the filters place in the intake line it only matters where the intake opening is.
can i have a beer with you roothy
what happened to the Cooper STT Pros?
Nice rig Roothy, what are you going to be doing with the splitty rims?
If splitties were the original and the traditional tubed steel rim, then Sunraysia style are the next more modern and the new traditional, bulletproof tubeless choice.
What kinda bull bar you gonna put on er?
ripper!
Don't forget to watch the height when you go through shopping centre car parks and Maccas drive through !! Haha !! Seeya Rob
Are those Federals made in PRC ? look for the [very]fine print
Why didn't you use spray on tray liner inside the cab?
Please drop that Donaldson down into the rack a bit.
Thing looks about 8ft high and will knock down low flying news choppers.
AND you won't be able to go through maccas drive throughs for coffee...
mungbean84 McDonald's coffee is shit
and yet thousands of people still buy it...
@@mungbean84 The power of advertising!
Why do you have to go to Brown Divas?? Thought they'd be able to build the tanks and ship them to you?
G'day Roothy. Just curious considering you love to do deep water crossings. Did your sparky use tinned wire in the new harness?
Where did u find that huge Donaldson Air Filter From ???
Roo systems not good?
That air filter is ridiculous
Good for trimming trees i suppose
The army uses trail blazers fridge ? Opinion John? Double the price if not more? 👁🎻🇨🇳
Good fridge made local the Sunshine Coast I think, they are heavy and expensive for the size, but very solid units. Also I think the dual zone ones have two compressors.
what is flooring material? is is heat and sound? thanks
The only thing that is going to look crap is that air filter on the roof......stick it behind the cab please.
What are your thoughts on bead-locks Roothy, besides being so expensive?
Levi M illegal on the road but off road they are great if you need to drop to around 5-10psi
Nah they aren't illegal mate, if you get DIY beadlocks they are illegal, but factory ones like the dynamic beadlocks aren't Illegal mate
whats the tire size Roothy?
👌👌👌👍☺
If only the archates engine where commercially available...
Roothy what tyre brand (mud tyres ) do u recommend, i have a 2012 triton dual cab...cheers..!!
Am running the BFG KM3's at the moment and have to say they are impressive. Cheers
JOHN ROOTH what size Roothy and what size rim

I think he has a soft spot for the Donaldson, I know I do.
true, but it wont be filtering much when it gets torn off by a low slung branch or if he tips it over and smashed it off and it sucks in a heap of dirt.
