Love BJM and this line up was spot on, the drummer is the drummer we musician's wish we all had in our bands.

Dan is THE best -- He isn't on American 2022 tour. Not sure why. Colin was there and Ricky and Joel but Rob was replaced by someone else.
@@jgwire ever seen the 2016 performance on RUclips where they open with "never ever"? That drumming by Dan is spectacular. Elevates the song to an almost symphony orchestra level

I saw them in Asheville May 9 - Plus, I accidentally met Anton outside just before show - and talked for about five minutes about cigarette brands....I wasn't gonna gush or do hero worship.......Then he agreed to trade one for one of mine. .He lit my American Spirit and I was about light the Camel non filter he handed me from a crumbled pack in his back pocket. but I decided to save it -- who knows why....to FRAME it? NAW. Interestingly, Few people noticed him on the packed smoking deck. I would have passed him as well had I not literally almost walked into him coming's out the door. He fits right in with his tribe. Thanks for Cig, Anton....

Dan Allaire is that one drummer in BJM that really, I believe, challenged Anton to play and be more creative in the later years of the band. He was the backbone in my opinion, excellent drummer.

I totally agree -- and his drumming has that sound that binds BJM......Where is Dan, does anyone know? I can't find out anything about him online. After that onstage brawl and tour cancelations last month of what was their world tour, I think he could really use Dan after that disappointing "world tour" Anton just canceled. I worry he's not well. Seriously. JMHO
Joel is so tight on the tambs.. He makes it look way easier than it is..

Wow, I saw them play Chicago either the night before or after. This was far by the show to see. People don't seem to understand that you can't leave it all to the band with BJM.. If the crowd sucks it just makes it so much harder for the band to deliver to the expectations everyone always has. The thing with BJM is.. you might spend a decade seeing them and only get one of those amazing sets that just floors you and goes in the history books.. But that's what it takes with BJM.. You have to commit to Anton.. The thing is.. the dude delivers.

All the musicians changed and the boring new songs and antons drinking made them boring as fuck and a shambles
All the songs they play sound pretty much like the same song. Pretty surprised these guys are still a band
....Yes, painfully obvious, to anyone who doesn't think their music quality's peaked, they're in total denial.
But I'd rather have a sober stable Anton writing lukewarm material than a hard drug using musical genius who inevitably dies.
