Fact : All cities and POI's from Mexico in RDR2 do actually exist. They're in the game files but they're not placed on the map. They're invisible but they're here.

Agreed. I’d imagine if they did add Mexico, it would be for Red Dead Online, since the border didn’t open until the events of RDR1 and I don’t see a reason why John would go there when he has three mouths to feed.

@@IsoSubject5 exactly. I see so many people shitting on rdr2s soundtrack for not sounding like rdr1. It takes place in the Midwest and basically the east, so you're gonna hear banjos and violins, not western sounding stuff. Both games have good ambient tracks that fit with their setting.

One time I was in Mexico to glitch to Guarma bc that’s how you do it and randomly the rdr 1 ambient music popped up and I felt a feeling inside and was sad bc I wish I still had my ps3 so I could play rdr1 again it was so good 😢

@@samhenson8177 oh for sure I'd love to see Sadie be used more in the story too. Hopefully we do get some addition to rdr2 in the near future, thing is I doubt rockstar cares too much for the main game now that red dead online is out. On top of that the red dead story is mostly finished. A new game would likely follow Jack or maybe even Charles as the protagonist.

@@axelgarcia5067 you have to glitch outside of the map in big valley west elizabeth and you have to ride across new austin all the way to mexico. keep in mind that you can't be too close to new austin otherwise the sniper will activate. and I don't think you can explore the inside of mexico, only the big rocks, but there might be another way to get there.
Do you think maybe they’re they were trying to originally remake all of red dead ones you could fall asleep, but read at two and we want to read that one remake with that engine

Playing RDR1 now and as much as they sound similiar 75% of the time they are also different so it's definitely a remake!

I've noticed that, it sounds identical yet certain moments you can tell there are slighy changes and added bits that tell it's new.

The second game wasn’t good because they did not add Mexico you could not explore Mexico, so the first one is the only good read that came along with GTA for him so GTA for rent in Mescher one are the best games compared to the second ride that game which sucks because you can’t go to Mexico is extremely disappointed. @@samhenson8177 yeah I did it on PC a few weeks ago on my old playthrough in chapter 2. on my new playthrough and going to go soon. did it in chapter 2 last playthrough and will also do it in chapter 2 this playthrough. it's not difficult to do but keep in mind that it takes a LOT of time to actually get to mexico if you do it as arthur because you can't access new austin so you basically have to ride across half of the outside map to even get there

It was probably cut because it would have taken too long and Rockstar probably has other priorities; but imagine all the NPCs, random events, strangers, animals, towns, missions, bounties, etc. that we would have been able to do. Ugh, imagine.

LODs and mini map data was found in the game files but rockstar removed them once they were discovered

As good as that sounds I don't think it was. It would not make sense for the story because why would a cool cinematic music scene play when John enters Mexico if he was there already? Arthur cant go because hes wanted in New Austin. Another thing, if you go by that one shack near Manteca Falls you can see the fort of El Presido pretty clearly. They had to put it there because the player can see the area where it is supposed to be. I would love for Mexico to be in the game but I just don't see it happening.
You could ask why the other towns are in the files but invisible but I have a theory for that. Rockstar most likely just copy and pasted RDR1's map into RDR2 to make it easier to remake. The reason Mexico is there is because the player can see a good chunk of Nuevo Pariaso along the shore of New Austin. The towns are probably invisible because they aren't needed. The player cannot see any of the towns from New Austin other than El Presido. I also glitched to Mexico and went to El Presido and found that most of it was hollow and badly textured. They did this most likely to save space and Im guessing the textures are straight from RDR1. As for roads, they're probably there because it was copy and pasted straight into RDR2
@@mrselfridge8303 it can't be copied and pasted because Mexico looks graphically better than it did in the first game and new Austin is different from the first game too. Things like actual physics in Mexico mean that there was work there and this music is proof of that because it only plays once you enter Mexico.

If we really want to get back to Mexico then I imagine a red dead 1 remake. It’s really a slam dunk for rockstar, they have half the map already done, the other half simply needs buildings and NPCS. All the voice acting is already top notch from the first game, idc if I’m a sellout I’ll pay for a 20GB Mexico and RDR story with the new mechanics

I heard 4:38 when I was trekking through Mexico when out of bounds and it seriously caught me off guard, I was really surprised there was any Mexican ambience music, knowing it was all scrapped
Reminds me of heading to where Selpucro is located, in rdr2 it played a tune that sounded like I completed a side quest or something, it was a loud and triumphant once that didn't seem like all the other Mexico osts, it only came up once and I didn't record it. But it played when I went up to one of the graves,, which I think you can fall through.
But it's still fun to roam around sometimes lol.

as soon as i reached the place mexico was supposed to be, parts of this started playing..a youtuber even found towns models from mexico in the ps4 version files..they're removed in the pc version..so yea..we came to the conclussion that mexico is part of that cut content

This game definitely deserves a Prologue as a DLC, allowing us to play with Arthur again and explore Blackwater, New Austin and Mexico. Either that or a playable Sadie Adler DLC during her time as a bounty hunter in New Austin (and maybe Mexico) before the RDR2 epilogue.

I just glitched into Mexico with a sliding exploit, not the bridge jump, they always kills me due to the game triggering the negatives in the drop for health loss. When I got into Mexico, I want you guys to know that THIS MUSIC, DOES actually play! I did not expect that. Truly makes this a personal journey with nothing but you and your horse all alone. Desolate and truly badass that the music is still in the exterior cell.

@@MairiWichman There's also another glitch easier to do just go to the other side of the river before the big Waterfall and get drunk until you pass out. You will then spawn on top of a little hill making you acess the whole Mexico map 😙

Interesting, Since you're playing as an American, It's kind of even more disturbing and isolating as you're even further away from the US in the middle of nowhere in a strange world where you can communicate with almost nobody

More like lazy developing, while porting the entire rdr1 map, the low poly models and stings were left in the files. However, after 1.00 these structures were removed from the game files, leaving a slightly tweaked husk of one of the best parts of rdr1. The music is a remnant of the development process, along with rdr1's signature dog ambience in certain areas as well.

i keep seeing people in the comments asking how people glitched to mexico in rdr2… there’s multiple ways actually. the way i used though was the bridge glitch. throw a throwing knife or any other throwing weapon on the 3rd plank or on the other side throw it between the 3rd and 4th plank. run onto the the now glitched and broken bridge and you’ll get launched super high. there’s a chance of getting to guarma and mexico. only works on console story mode
There’s like 3 ways I know of. One of them you can even get to Mexico as Arthur (or guarma early)

The mexico was coming to the game but for an unknown reason it hasnt.
