    • @CrickDiggersInc
      @CrickDiggersInc  9 месяцев назад

      I don’t think any of the local dairies had an amber milk until pyroglaze came about in the 1940s. We were just under that age with all the embossed ones it was a lifetime dig yessir. Appreciate you brother man.

    This is the craziest dig I have ever watched. What is the backstory of this location and How did you know to dig there??

    • @CrickDiggersInc
      @CrickDiggersInc  9 месяцев назад

      It was the site where the Farmers Dairy once stood. I talked to a buddy of mine and local historian plus also had help from several other subscribers. Farmers Dairy was a main hub return dairy. Meaning all the milk bottles would be turned in to that diary then dispersed out to the other dairies. Once a Dairy shut down or was sold there bottles would be thrown away. If a bottle was slightly damaged or stained it would be discarded. If the dairy changed molds and the bottle no longer fit the mold for refilling it was discarded. Perhaps even to get an edge on the competition? The site was being demoed by the company I work for EZ OUT and the boss man found a milk bottle. While they were demoing a local historian came over and told them about what it used to be. We were given permission to dig and spent three days digging the area. 24 different dairies in all were unearthed and saved.

    Travis, that was such a fun dig to watch, so many friends excited like kids. The equipment to move everything was awesome. Trav Jr. had a blast. So many beautiful embossed milk bottles. That was an amazing three day dig with an awesome ending. Congratulations.👍👏😀

      @CrickDiggersInc  9 месяцев назад

      We all had so much fun on this one. Trav jr got his Hunter bottle which ended up being from reading PA and in total 24 different dairies many of them being rare or scarce were saved. Thank you both so much.
