    so I'm a 56 yo single woman, my grass guy disappeared and my yard was looking a hot mess. I was leaning towards the sun joe or greenworks electric lawn mowers fortunately I ran across this lightweight new friend of mine. it's perfect for me and my small yard. It took me about 2 hours but my grass was high and wet I never cut grass before in my life, emptied the bag about 40 times (exaggerating) but now that it's down it won't ever get outta hand again. I give it 4 stars on my first use

    I'm 72 and use this lawnmower which is perfect for me. I also have a gas mower when I get into thick areas of my yard. Cuts like a champion crime fighter.

    Just got one of these. The reason the bag isn’t catching any grass on yours is because the “mulching plug” is plugged in. Its just a plastic piece with a handle under the discharge door inside the mower, pull it out before putting the bag on. Hope this helps a few years later haha

    I just purchased this mower for some tiny mobile home lawns in 55 and over park. A lot of the mobile homes in this park have raised lawns that are tiny. I got tired of lifting my Troybilt and starting and stopping the gas mower. I like that this one mulches so i can ditch the bag. I considered that black and Decker string mower, but that one doesn't mulch. Hopefully this fits the bill. Good video guys.

    I picked it up about 4 years ago. I change the height 2-3 times every mow. Tall grass 2-3 feet I just pick up the front and throw it in and back it out as it lands, next pass I drive in straight. I’ve hit tree stumps, bricks, rocks, and just pull the blade, straighten sharpen and bolt it back on.
    Never stoped running, don’t have any duck tape on it, or broken plastic… your point about one’s manhood being questioned by passersby… yup, nothin can be done about that.

    I love this thing. I have a very large yard and it’s super light. You can wheelie it up for taller grass. As for the two prong thing it’s easy to cut the bottom off with a pair of pliers so a three prong extension cord will fit.

      It is suprising how well it does for the price. even after using it now for a while I still think it is a good buy.

    The 13" battery powered Ryobi lawn mower does indeed use the same 18V One+ battery as their 18V tools. You bought your corded one at the right time, they are now $250 and not as well made. These small mowers do serve a purpose, I lived in a house in Detroit where this mower would almost be overkill, you could cut the front lawn with a pair of grass clippers.

    Hello all. I thought I'd share a fix for a problem that I have encountered with this exact lawn mower and I'm finding out that other people are having problems repairing this. If your wheel falls off, I've lost several over the last 2 years, try purchasing a pack of axle nuts size 5/16 in from the home Depot or some other hardware store. Slip the wheel back on the axle and line up the axle nut over the end of the axle and push it on or tap it on with a small hammer making sure it's snug. I've had three wheels fall off and this has successfully held them without incident. The rear axle is a little tighter but it worked and I keep a few spare on hand as these are only a couple dollars for a bag. I hope this helps anybody that is encountering this problem as a inexpensive fix.

    7:10 NO ! Dont buy the battery only one ! I just returned mine for each battery only working for 5 minutes each and they are WEAK and will overheat and stop working. Stick to the annoying corded version !

      good to know

    • @perfectsoulmates2023
      @perfectsoulmates2023 2 месяца назад

      @@LifeProjX The corded one works fine (1800w version) which is what I have now. Many people are reporting battery problems with all Ryobi battery models. When I returned the battery version, the batteries were tested at the store and found to be defective only lasting around 5 minutes or less each. I even had to take a 20% loss because the mower was considered used. Thats an $80 loss. So yes its “good to know” because people need to know the truth about the battery version and not just listen to the people who’s battery version works.

      @@rickhilliard2545 No. There are however weed wackers that can be adapted to mini lawn mowers. It's the new thing these days. Haven't tried one yet though. I'm happy with my corded Ryobi. It's easy once you get the method down for not getting all tangled up.

    I have tried using extension cords, and there is no way would ever purchase any other tool that requires an AC outlet. It would take me longer to manage the extension cord than to actually cut the grass.

    • @LifeProjX

    Gas is becoming outdated fast, I wouldn't get a gas powered mower even if you offered it for free. I don't want to deal with any fuel, oil, air filters, fuel filters, spark plugs, noise and smoke just to cut some grass when I can just plug it and finish the job and deal with other things.

    This mower is garbage! Its such cheap plastic at the wheels, at the handle insert, all of it. Its going to break in a few uses. The low cost is no excuse for the bad design choices. Black and Decker makes a much better cheap electric model
    Youre going to spend another hundred bucks every few months when the wheels or handle break.
    And the cutting edge of the blade is only like 3 inches at best.

    • @LifeProjX
      @LifeProjX  2 года назад +2

      Honestly I expected the mower to be way worse. 2 years in and still no complaints

    • @jmmywyf4lyf
      @jmmywyf4lyf 2 года назад

      @@LifeProjX that is genuinely surprising. I gor 4 or 5 years out of my little B&D mower, and wasnt expecting it to last half that. But it felt far more solid by comparison. And I abused the hell out of it. The metal bar rusted at the point of insertion, and finally broke. The metal broke before any plastic!
      The small cutting surface on the ryobi blade was also a big turn off for me. I cant say how well it works, as I returned it as soon as I put it together. That front left wheel I just dont see holding up.
