I agree with Jon 100 percent. Machado is San Diego this is his team. He's gonna make the hall of fame. If he wins a world series he will get it. No doubt.
IMO, Musgrove can get one for having the first and no no-hitter for the Brown and Gold. Machado is the HR leader for Petco Park, but I think he needs more Playoff runs. A WS would definitely earn it though.
they're talking about statues as baseball heads, and that's fine. But as non-locals, they don't understand how these things resonate for local San Diegans. Gwynn and and Hoffman were about much more than just baseball.
I'm glad this was made into a RUclips video. This was hilarious live.
🤣
It will take a World Series

Nobody currently on the Padres deserves a statue . The end. Full stop.
*as of now*
If they win a world series and someone like Machado makes the HOF yes there will be a statue
I say Jake Peavy could he won a cy young and had the most strikeouts in padres history ,also was 3rd in wins in padres history .
Jim is a bit slow sorry, Musgrove would get one

We actually do know how those two resonate here in San Diego. Thanks
Peavy/Musgrove joint number retire #44 when Joe retires.
