Stock lower intake and Windstar upper intake. I made 345/375 on 10 psi on a pretty much stock motor (stock heads, stock, cam, sealed short block).
@@angelarmendariz8844 you can use a 4.2 truck motor with an 01-04 3.8 oil pan and 3.8 intake manifolds. If you want to do a forged 4.2 stroker it requires custom pistons

Get it tuned, if you aren't doing bolt ons the best you've got is straight piping with a CAI and tune, or if you wanna shell out 2K or so you can get a cheap turbo kit by flipping your headers around and using your left over pipe to route it to the front of the car, weld in a T3/T4 coupling and put a $150 turbo on it then get a cheap intercooler, with no upgrades to injectors, fuel pump, cams, or heads you can be putting 240-ish to the wheels at 4-5lb of boost, with that you could almost embarrass a 2v GT
Wondering if the stock 3.8l can handle alittle boost for drifting. Ive been trying ti make this v6 work for drifting but smaller track i need more power. Any advice would be appreciated thanks
@@Slow_Six i found one and the guy said it made 243/352 on the dyno at 10psi but he has no dyno sheet, hp seems low and tq almost seems high? tuning, engine health, or dyno just reading differently or?

A stock motor should handle up to about 400 hp

@@youngpranksters8711 10 psi will make low 300s. Going to need close to 15 psi to make 400 on a stock 3.8
Might wanna changer the rear differential gear to 4.10 first for more torque

Yep. I ran 10-11 on mine for years on a stock motor.

@@micahrlusk depends a lot on the size of the turbo. There is a Dyno video of mine on here.
what cam and model number do you have im having trouble finding one for my 3.8 l
It's a custom spec cam. But you can order them from comp cam. The car has a 220/220 .550 lift 114 LSA cam in it currently

All I can think of is turboing, I also have a stock 3.8 v6 from 2003 and am looking to mod it, I gotta fix the wheel components first tho
