      Well you always maxed E on lanes that won't let you farm Q (like kennen/teemo/riven/what have u). I think this was the trend ever since they made Corruption Potion, but similar things were practiced back in s1-2 before the soft rework. It was all over the guides back in the day.

    For Quasus players: Now in S7 BUY Banner of Command first. It gives 400 Mana some MR ans Armor + 10% Cdr while having its previous passive!!!

    • @shootingblueyes

      It's also MUCH cheaper, and no longer gives the magic resist aura or health regen.

      Exactly it only costs 2200. That item is legit overtuned. I made 1500 gold with it in a 30 minute game. Global map pressure while making a lot of gold!

    This is a great build for high elo players but for people still in low elo bronze-gold(ish) stick with the stack Nasus as your team is probably not good enough to recognize what you are doing

      A lot of people see a person with mastery 7 on a champion and think o look that person must be trash then they see at 5 min into the game the team sees that the mastery 7 person already has 10 kills and 0 deaths from the enemy laner and say "having fun panth?" fun fact the enemy laner was supposed to be considered a hard counter to Pantheon.
      And the enemy laner was a Nautilus hell Amumu would have done better Not to brag or anything if someone picks a cho'gath a champ that hard counters Pantheon while i play Pantheon then as long as i face them in that lane and my team don't feed it which in solo queue you can't trust your team much then half of the time i will win that match up.

    so, in a way this is like proxy singed because you're applying so much pressure on the enemy team allowing your team to win the game. Could this be a new meta? these strategies tend to have high win rates

    I've always had success with AP Nasus when I'm playing around in normals. This build takes the viable part of that idea and brings it forwards. That wave clear ability is INSANE, no joke. It just scales way too well if you max it first.

    • @TipsyRiver
      @TipsyRiver 7 лет назад

      Actually it's not broken at all. Especially in this meta atm, all nasus has is wave clear. Mid is not an isolated lane like top and it needs more wards, so pushing all the time is not safe either. Nasus' E damage isn't that good, he doesn't have mobility, his roam is pretty shit and he has to rely on other people to hit their CC and so on. All he has going for him is that it's ahrd to siege against him.
      It's fun and really good for aram, but all popular mid picks bring much more to the table than him, so he's horrible for ranked games. He might seem broken in something like Plat(maybe not even that high) and below, but that's because people have no idea how to deal with him. If we're talking about the champion's actual strength and potential, he's pretty shit.

    • @domini1337

      Doesn't slow attack speed and doesn't slow movement speed to 1%. The presence of the doge shuts an enemy adc out.

    Ah see this explains what I was facing as Singed once, anyone playing this while I'm playing Singed is simply awesome, as opposed to them getting free stacks they are not doing anything except protecting their tower (if you proxy ofc) and since Nasus only has the slow and won't be doing much damage it would be fair to say proxy Singed is a good counter to this as it's very similar except that no one is pushing xD. It's sort of a fight fire with fire strategy.

    • @slothz5063

      I played as Q nasus against a singed with warlord lust and pretty much i could farm and sustain tanking the wave not missing a single cs and farming them all with Q, Thanks to that singed i oneshoted their vayne at the 20 minute mark with a 554 stacked Q. Lol

    • @Apokalypse456
      @Apokalypse456 7 лет назад

      well as LutizzTV said by playing singed against nasus you give the nasus free q stacks.
      if quas would be playing against a singed that proxies he would happily go for 2 dorans blades instead of the rings and stack q in front of his tower while you are behind his tower.
      He'd just proxy in the middle of the lane, which is what all champs should do against proxy singed when they can afford to due to their inept lifesteal

    This is referred to as AP nasus and some of us have been using it for several seasons now. It isn't new. Its basically the go to build when something gets cheeky and tries to hard counter you in lane so you first blood them because they aren't building MR or expecting you not to try to stack.

      i got the idea when i saw ap nasus's E dmg in aram and seeing how he could spam it with a mana regen item...
      i just like going full tank on champs and since his q dmg grows by farming and his e basic dmg is already pretty high this is the ideal champion build for me.

    Nasus main here. Consider getting Rylai's if you're maxing Spirit Fire first. I normally use that item to snowball fast. It works wonders for Nasus because it gives MAJOR cc, damage, and health. The AP damage is also converted into extra damage on turrets too. Stacked with swift boots, Stormriders Surge, wither, and possibly even an Iceborn for CDR/Damage no one gets away. It also gives you much needed CC for teamfights, since Nasus is normally really bad at team fights since he gets targeted so hard.

    Just tried this in a game against a swain and udyr splitpusher. Worked pretty well, even though I took the wrong masteries and runes. Took all 3 top towers, inhibs and managed to rotate through to win a fight right after a baron skirmish.
    And this was while my bot lane was 1/7 from frequent ganks. Eventually it turned around late mid game after they came after me so many times.
    Final score was 5/5/5, 256 CS and spent the least amount of time on either team dead with the highest cs.
    This sht works. Try it.
    Some more things to add is to play somewhat passive because it becomes difficult to trade against most champs when your E should be saved for clearing minion waves and takes obscene amounts of mana. Your Q should be used sparingly.
    Do NOT make the mistake of trying to get a corrupting pot in your first back unless you ABSOLUTELY need it or are dominating lane. You may feel a distinct lack of mana, but only until around level 7. And that is to be expected since your E takes 70 mana at rank 1 and 130 maxed out.
    Even if it gives you a little trading power, you will probably need to use your W to come out on top. Your sustain compared to usual nasus will be much weaker since you are not trying to stack and therefore get far less damage on your autos, and by extention, your lifesteal. It makes more sense to step back and just waveclear. They can't harrass you forever, unless they are ranged top (in which case you made a horrible mistake both picking nasus and trying this tactic in the first place) and just take opportunities to passively stack your Q.
    ...This is getting quite longwinded so I'll end it here. The rest can be figured out easily through normal gameplay. I picked it up within the first 12 minutes, so it shouldn't be too bad for anybody looking to play a larger role within the game.

  • @duo1666
    @duo1666 7 лет назад +5

    Pretty much what ive said multiple times to people; Nasus doesnt need Q to be relevant. His w virtually removes 1 person from the teamfight, his E is a massive AoE armor shred in an AD heavy meta.
    Granted, i personally max W first then E, because i personally find W to be better for myself early and allows better ganks from my jungler and turns on the enemy when they come after me, but i can see E being useful as well.
    Q max just never should have been a thing. The damage doesnt go up a ton per point, and you generally rush CDR on Nasus anyway.

    • @MineteInc
      @MineteInc 7 лет назад

      duo1666 Not maxing q is without a doubt still the best way to carry as nasus. I have been getting very fed almost every game since nasus patch now that i build talisman on him, gives you a lot of gold compared to what the opponents get if you're low elo especially (even more now that its gold cost decreased)
      Also if you dont max q, then even with 45% cdr the cd on your q is shit not to mention your sieging potential is greatly reduced. Most games as nasus once i get fed i just start pushing and sieging while the now useless top laner is trying to stop you but cant. Youre too tanky so they cant kill you, and your qs do 400 dmg to towers on a 2sec cd. This new nasus is rly only necessary diamond+ imo.
      I do agree with you on W though, I dont understand why most people max it last, i always max it second. Its the best slow in the game and makes enemy adc useless. Not to mention if youre stacking, its much easier to catch up and kill the enemy

    • @Thezanlynxer
      @Thezanlynxer 7 лет назад +1

      It isn't actually the best slow in the game, Janna and Nami can reduce someone's movement speed to literally zero.

    • @duo1666
      @duo1666 7 лет назад

      Thezanlynxer They dont reduce attack speed by 90%

    • @duo1666
      @duo1666 7 лет назад

      Meteor Yeah, no. Your Q scales with level, with items, with CDR, and with last hits. It literally scales with everything else better than points you put into it. Your W and E, however, scale largely with points put into the skill (unless youre AP nasus).
      W and E gain much more power power per point than Q does.

      also old nasus had an easy counter with cleanse item and some cc on top of him, "now" he can poke

    Great video Dong! I was actually thinking about making a video like this myself but I think you nailed it! One thing that might've been helpful to note is that E max scales of AP pretty nicely. Back when Runeglave was OP and mid laners took smite in season 5, Keane, the mid laner for Apex (Dignitas now) actually played quite a bit of AP Nasus maxing Spiritfire. It would chunk people for massive damage and quite unexpected. I don't think it worked out too well since it's a bit of a cheese pick, but b/c Quas goes two Dorans rings is where a lot of that early-mid powerspike that "Quasus" gets. Great video, earned my subscription! Keep up the good work :)

      King Remember that the stacks are not the only damage source of the attack. You also have your standard attack damage, which at the 20 minute mark should be about 100+, and also his Siphoning Strike has bonus damage, and then it applies the damage from the stacks. So at 550 stacks you can deal about 700 damage, and usually AD Carries have about 1900 HP in late game, so... deleted

    I've been playing Quas Nasus for over 2 years, even before this video. Early Quas Nasus pretty strong and safe (even potentially counter some lane Bullies), normally i would rush 2 Doran ring and finish Zz'Rot Portal as soon as possible (because Portal was really broken back then). But the problem of this build is i always get flamed by teammates for not farming Q and i don't have Triforce or Gauntlet (Mostly because they didn't realize that i took down 2 top towers or pressure enemy top laner), people used to see Nasus with 500 Q and no tower taken at 20mins, so a Nasus with 200 Q and 2 top towers taken can't convince them that the game is fine.

    Quas - Win Lane, Lose Late Game (50% win rate)
    What i'm trying to say is, with Stack Q, it makes it possible to carry your team 1v5. Atleast in low elo. (i'm silver II)
    With Quas, you're not as strong late game. So you might win lane, but you won't be able to 1v5.

    Actually: Get 20% or 30% scaling cdr on runes and the extra 5% passive and stormraiders. Armor pen reds just to be nasty. Max Q to decrease the CD, farm every single minion and monster you can from the start of the match and buy a Sheen or Ice gauntlet when you have enough gold.
    Im not saying that you are a "farm nasus", but when you have that gauntlet, Q's cd is almost the same as the Sheen passive allowing you to farm, push (and be a threat with the stacking mechanic) at the same time very fast. You can use TP on bot lane at min 15 with 150-200Q (i dont know im not a mathematician), get a double kill, get the tower, get the dragon. Run mid, kill the mid laner or make him recall and get the tower, recall and go top lane being strong as fuck and push until infinity. Just rush Gauntlet, zzrot and Titanic hydra and congratz, you won the game by yourself.
    The point is not farming like a little bitch without looking at the map, you have to farm while controlling your lane and a single TP to bot lane at min 10-15 can win you the entire game. A good TP gank on bot by nasus is extremely good because you surely kill someone with W and Q having such a low CD, the extra slow from Gauntlet helps too, you can farm a little while pushing and you get the turret very fast, then you can do the same on mid lane and get the dragon. Nasus'Q have an inmense power when you get CDR, you dont have to be a "farm nasus" because the more dominant you are, the more you can farm.
    Nasus' passive+CDR+Q's enchanced damage is enough to heal a lot in lane and never leave. E is good to use if the opponent wants to trade, just basic attacks and minion aggro will win the trade because you heal so fast when farming. The mana cost is SO HIGH on E that you cant spam it.

    In general nassus spikes his power more at mid game with this build and only suffers in the very late game, but also has advantages there with this build in reliability. Q nassus has a lot of issiues with kiteing where as this nassus has a more reliable application of his damage, shreds tanks, and still has a decent q that can hit a squishy for a good chunk should they venture in melle range.

Against the gold toplaners I still didnt win lane 8after alll I normally dotn play toplane) but I had no problem getting stacks and frming. Its such a high differenc. First: You said it very well, i mean the context of both Nasus and why actually LPN (Lane Pressure Nasus) is willing to won more games.
    Second: You forgot to said that in 6.21 i guess, nasus R does not give AD anymore, and it gives incressing Armor and Magic Resistance, something that "nerfed" AD/Q Nasus in certain ways.
    Third: RF Legendary is maxing Q at second and buying Trinity at 2ª item, wich let that LPN keep the damage source, and still being able to tank with the other full tank items, something like i really recommend to do.
    LPN is great, i used nasus since S1 literaly but to use him in medium-high elo is so punished, and to be able to use him again is something that really makes me feels good. I really recommend to use this nasus playstyle if you like to play with nasus as like me.
    Well i tryed my best with this language, cause' i speak Spanish jajaja.

    Ayel had 1st and 2nd place in BR Challenger ladder if I remember it right. So Quas is not the only one.

    I can see this build becoming VERY popular real soon. It's really good and rather easy to play. Though I'm not sure how frequent it'd be in lower ranks considering people don't understand how pressure works.

    Watched Quas play Nasus vs Faker a few times and really loved seeing him play and pressure Faker hard from the top lane.
    Playing against this Nasus though is utter cancer. I've no clue how to play against it. His E base damage is seriously broken and because he goes double doran rings he won't go oom before you're already dead.

    The thing is in lower elos people don't understand when to push. While playing this style against a Darius, I was way ahead (2 kills + 20 farm) until my bot lane gave two consecutive kills and I had their jungler and support up at top alongside their Darius. My bot lane didn't realize until I told them, and top lane got ripped apart by 3 people continuously pushing as I E'd every single minion wave and tried to hold until my lanes got their first turrets.
    TL;DR lower elo teams dont realize when to push even though their lane opponent is up top fighting nasus

      I tried it in another game and this time against a Jayce and Zac. Zac obviously camped me and my team did good early game but got shit on late game by their Lux and Ezreal, who got fed as shit. We managed to take two barons thanks to our Yasuo not giving up and I pushed out 2 inhibitors, which led to us winning the game.
      TL;DR it works as long as your team does good early game and doesn't fuck up in team fights

    The reason this build works better for high elo players is because Stack Q Nasus works best in late game where high elo games rarely get to. High elo is all about early and mid game.

    Just faced that playing Riven vs Nasus. I was so surprised I didn't know how to react ; ended up in a farm war. Maxed e is pretty good for wave clear, but zoning as well.

    I thought about doing Spirit Fire Nasus before but never considered it viable til now. Definitely need to try this out, I miss playing the Doge.

      Full ap nasus, his E actually does a shit ton of damage if you stay in the full duartion or have little magic resist

      GoldenSoooul I know, I play AP Nasus in Aram but on Summoner's I just didn't think it would work too well since the E has a rather lengthy cooldown so after you use E you aren't doing much damage or anything else.
      The way they are using him, he's still built like a tank but with Zz'rot he can bring down towers if no one stays up there to keep him from shoving into the tower which is still difficult since he'll just keep blowing up whole waves.

    I can't stand Nasus players in my team because even in plat they just farm until 30, never ward, yet push and go 0-5. This video surprised me how relevant he can still be! I might try him out again. Thank you!

    In certain matchups u can act like push late Nasus but still max q and get a bunch of stacks. Just act like push lane nasus with corrupting potion. worked for me agaisnt a Gnar

    nice to see nasus get a new lease life, but imo yorick does the same thing but does more damage late.

    I have to say I was very hit and miss with the quality stack Nasus. sometimes I carried hard and I mean hard af. But when I lost it was so hard it was embarassing. I am currently on a 7 game win streak playing only zzrot, banner, full tank max e Nasus top lane. I kind of love it.
