Tip #1 was brilliant. I was at my wit's end trying all the passwords and somehow I was able to discover the first password I ever input for the recovery and turns out that was it. Saved me hours of frustrations and troubles, thank you so much.
No, you can make a new backup without a password after removing password, but if you wanna restore the old backup that is encrypted to your device, it will ask you to enter password.
