Hey, great video. Happy to be mentioned here. I love the Digitakt 2, it’s with all the effort to learn. Cheers!

Even watching you do it looked hard work. I can’t be arsed with this device.

Ive had one about a month, I am knocking towards 50 years old. I think it is the best sequencer I’ve used. Editing melodies is great, not tedious or frustrating like so many sequencers.

Excellent concept for this video. As a newbie it is quite helpful to see how you go from basic to slightly advanced. It's a logical flow unlike so many other videos. BTW, Ricky ain't my cup of tea. Goes to fast with little explanation. But he's very knowledgeable.

honestly i struggled with a lot of workflow with most standalone grooveboxes, so i went down the ableton push route when the OG push came out but i wanted something i could put in a bag to take traveling (with a powerbank).
after a few mpc's, some roland samplers, i was getting annoyed. i got a digitakt, myyyyy god, (for me) it felt so simple to do what i wanted (im still terrible but i could do it easier) i then got a octatrack and my god that thing is immense, people try to learn everything about that machine and then cry its too hard. i found ONE thing i wanted with it and learnt that.
i cannot wait to get a digitakt 2 as the mk1 is the only thing i regret selling

I Never really understood this Elektron stuff besides Heat+FX. Now I do. Seems could be worthwhile to have one.

I never thought of that. A favourite tempo. But it is true. I tend to go to my preferred tempo. For me 124 bpm. I suppose it's true of all perameter tweaks. We develop habits. Sometimes I go just a little off the number maybe 126 or 123 just to make it sound a bit different lol.

I love recording stereo samples and the chromatic scales, not to mention everything else. This thing allows for the easy creation of complex music.

As an owner of OG DT, OG DN, Rytm and A4 I don’t really understand why people find these machines hard. They are logically laid out and once you learn the shortcuts it’s incredibly quick and easy to make music on them.

    • @SergeyCoder
      @SergeyCoder 2 месяца назад +2

It’s hard for some people cause you’re not playing on device, you’re programming it to play music. Also with elektrons you can infinitely mutating the sound. I can spend many hours just tweaking it.

If you stick with any of the Elektron Devices, and really learn the sequencer and shortcuts, MPO nothing comes close

I could make this same beat in 2 min on my Tracker +. I want to like Elektron but the workflow seems so convoluted without much benefit.

Once you’ve used them for a bit, the workflow becomes second nature. You’ll also be hard pressed to find an OS as feature rich as the Elektron OS.

I bought it one month ago, and i am just able to make a 1 bar beats. Very difficult to understand. Actually I bought it for sequencing external gear by midi. I was so deseparate that I bought a brand new M3 iMac and Cubase 13 pro.
I wanna stay dawless, but i can't with this digitakt II, very difficult to understand, no manual, no quick start, and I am not english so it is very hard.
Now I am using a daw, and it wasn't my desire.

The Digitakt isn’t inherently complicated-it’s more about how you approach it. With its intuitive interface, it becomes an incredibly creative and inspiring tool. The true magic of the Digitakt lies in its ability to transform simple ideas into intricate musical patterns through hands-on experimentation. Its sampling and sequencing capabilities invite you to manipulate sounds in countless ways, from layering textures to building rhythmic grooves. It encourages you to push boundaries, discover happy accidents, and play with sound. Once you let go of the mindset that it’s difficult, the Digitakt reveals itself as a rewarding creative playground-an endless source of inspiration that helps you explore your unique musical voice.
