The item at 24:40 is a cigarette lighter of WW1 vintage and was manufactured by The Parr Mfg. Co. There are some for sale on eBay at present. If you undo the screw you should reveal a long metal spring with a flint on the end of it. The cotton-wool type material held the fuel.
Aww your happiness at being back in the water -- and your wellies -- was palpable...so happy you're on the mend and back to doing what you (and we) love!
Even though I hadn’t received a video notification, I still found myself checking nightly to make sure I didn’t miss one 😆. You were greatly missed! Love the sound of rushing water in your videos! Another relaxing great video, thank you both!
Great to see you and Ryan back again, really have been missing you and Ryan. Glad your foot is on the mend. Enjoyed the video and the items you found were neat. I really like the lead race car you found, to bad the wheels were missing, but that happens sometimes. I enjoyed looking at Ryan's collection. Thanks for showing. Looking forward to you next adventure.
Oh, dear, Lucy, however did you break your foot??? I've been missing you, so glad you are on the mend and able to get back out! You had lovely finds today, your toy lead car is awesome! And a musket ball! How wonderful! I love the local milk bottle, too! Please take it easy, and as always, thanks for a fantastic video!
Oh Lucy, welcome back! We really missed you! So pleased that you are well on the mend and out larking again. Do be careful. Some lovely finds once again. That sun pendant brought back memories for me, I had one just like that in the 70s lol. So good to have you back :)
Welcome Back Lucy and Ryan ☺ so great to see your up and about again after your broken foot accident, h o e it's mending ok. Love love love the video with the lead toy car and everything else ❤🙂. Also the thing you thought was a hinge looks a lot like an old wooden suitcase clasp/clip. But it's beautiful though 😊
Welcome back so happy to see you both in the water again. Looking forward to your discoveries and adventures to come m. Have fun and look forward to your treasures!
Take care of that foot! Get it to heal up so you will be 100% soon. Glad you got to get out for a bit, it helps healing if you don't feel stuck in a rut. Your treasures were fun. That ur item I think was a fuse. Thanks for sharing and take care!!
HI. I found a mudlarkers page yesterday about the river Thames and was fascinated as a first timer and subscribed, now you have another one. Great video. Grazie.
So happy to see a video. Lucy it was truly Sad to hear you broke your foot. PRAYERS FOR QUICK HEALING. That is great you found your first musket ball. Here in America old musket balls & bullets from our Civil War are made into weights sinkers for fishing. The older you car is a race car. IT would have had rubber wheels. What if all your Bits & Bob's could tell us their stories. How exciting that would be.. Thanks for Sharing Yours & Ryan's finds & Adventures..
Hi, sorry to hear about your injury. Glad you are on the mend. I'm pretty sure your mystery items are an old cigarette lighter and part of a pair of coal tongues, last item is a pocket watch key to wind it.
Welcome back!!!! We missed you guys terribly this summer. Im so glad that you are doing better and able to take us out again. Lovely finds today! Cheers!
Looks like a fired musket ball. Patina is correct. They always have a normally offset seam around them. You can also check by the weight and size. The calculations are online. The last item are coal tongs for the fire place.
Enjoying your larking adventures very much! I live in Florida and I stay out of all water around here. Mainly because of the alligators. 'Nuf said? A suggestion, if I may, a polarizing lens on your camera would help reduce the reflections from the water. Not sure if Britain uses the same term, but it's the same thing that is applied to sunglasses for fishermen to enable them to better see the fish below the surface of the water. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures!
Missed you, so glad you’re able to be back! Do take care, you were sorely missed by this Anglophile! You English creek walkers and mudlarkers are some of my favorite youtubers! Much love!
Welcome back! Glad you're on the mend. I looked up the Sharwood Co, and they go back to 1889. The early jars were likely blown. Does the seam on the jar vanish before reaching the lip?
Welcome back! Happy to see you are on the mend. Definitely a musket ball! Second car find is circa 1950s. It's a die cast toy possibly Dinky. The ornate item looks like a watch/clock winder and could the mystery item be a trench art lighter?
Oh dear, very sorry to hear you've been crook - broken foot is NO fun - glad you're on the road to recovery... Lots of nice finds in that location, and some good treasures from metal detecting - keep getting well.
So great to see you both back! Love your relaxing, peaceful videos. I was also pleased to see the Henderson's Relish by your round-up of finds! I didn't realise people had discovered it down south! Fab!
@@lucyslarkingadventures9863 Cool! It is a Sheffield thing, locally known as 'Relish'..or 'endo's (drop the H for authentic Yorkshire accent!) Yummy on pies, stew & fish & chips. I recently found a very old bottle with 'Yorkshire Relish' written on it during a mudlark/old house adventure in north Wales. Byee x
So happy that you have healed enough to get back out and enjoy larking again! Thank you for bringing us along! Be sure to rest often! It’s always fun to play is it a “ rock or not” ! Great things can be found!! Love the pottery found! The lead race car was a fun find! Your first musket ball too! Happy autumn!!
AWESOME BLOSSOM 🦋♥️🦋 The little case thing you found at the end is a lipstick case. So, how did you break your foot? I fell on March 2nd and shattered my ankle and had surgery on it the 3rd of March and had to have it put back together with metal and screws on each side - the fibula and tibia. So I am still recovering. I will have another surgery in November to take the screws out ofbthe tibia as they are rubbing on the inside if my skin. Ouch! For us both♥️♥️ Get better soon 🌹🐝
Thank you for being back with your nice and interesting treasure hunts. I missed it a lot and I'm really glad that you’re well again and you start afresh🤩
didnt know you broke your foot but i have been missing you! glad your able to walk on it again!looks like a muskit ball the metal detector will beep if its lead. that is a very old car. id keep that for sure, the wheels were probably iron thats why they are gone they rot away. theres a book on the internet that tells you all about the buckles and when they were made its cheap from what ive heard you could order it.
Lucy, the old racing car, is possibly Dinky, but most likely CRESCENT of London and made in the early/mid 1950s, Stirling Moss, Fangio era. the other car you found is a Corgi whizzwheels super sports car circa 1970.
It looks like you hunt in the water a lot you should make you a pvc pipe tube two feet long and silicon a piece of glass in the end! You can see all kinds of stuff if the water clear! Hope your foot keeps getting better later mislabeled! 😎💨
Hello again! I love going out with you both . Good to know you’re up and about again. Make sure you keep up the Physio. Want you fit and strong for lots of larking! I was wondering, would you ever do a challenge- like a eyes only versus detector over a small section of the riverbed? Say 20m2, or 20m length of river or stream, viewers to decide the winner - with a points system for certain items? Say 3 metal items and 3 non metal? Might be fun? 🌞
Thanks Lucy and Ryan. I was missing you and didn't know that you had broken your foot. So sorry to hear. Glad you are on the mend! Good to see you again.💜
I think the 2nd car looks like Bluebird that Donald Camble drove on Coniston lake. The other thing reminded me of a flint that brownies or something like that used to light fires .
Your area is just beautiful. I’ve been to Torquay - is that anywhere near where you are? I just love England and hope to get back some day. Wonderful video, as usual!
So sad and sorry to hear of your injury. You must of been in a lot of pain. Hopefully you stay healthy. Ryan must of had his hands full keeping you following doctors orders.. Missed your video's Stay well, Cheers from Chicago
Glad to see you back. I think Dentifrice is toothpaste. I have a vague memory of you been able to buy a solid ‘toothpaste’ in a tin which you rubbed your brush onto and also tooth powder (powdered toothpaste) came in small tins like the one you found.

Pretty nail polish Lucy
Your mystery item that didn’t make it in the video remind me of a watch winder
Oh could be! Thank you x
I think your mystery object is an old lighter Lucy.
I missed you, welcome back, this has made my day Ryan and Lucy.❤️☮️🇨🇦
That is DEFINITELY a musket ball... and it looks like it was chewed by a pig.. rather common to find them that way! Keep up the great videos! :)
Amazing!! How exciting thanks so much for this!! Xx

I had buttons in 1955 that looked like that from England...they were blue and I used them for eye on a rag doll I made for my cousin new baby...

The little sun face is the same as an old pair of silver ear-rings I had from the 1990's, the other matching ear-ring was a moon face.
So glad to see you're doing better and are able to get out and about again!
Thank you xx
24:43 you said it says ULF. I am thinking that is a fuse for a breaker box. I enjoyed the video.
Oh good thinking thanks! X

Hi Lucy, good to see you back. I believe your "3D" button to be 3rd Dragoons, probably 18th/early 19th century. Cracking find.
Ooh exciting stuff! Thanks so much for this!! Xx
So sorry to hear about your accident but glad you are on the mend waited with anticipation for your return welcome backx
