    A little about me:
Sean Daniel is a man. A man of simple needs and desires. And the one desire, no, the one NEED, that stands above all is to spread the challenges, joy and intellectual stimulus of music to people of Earth and beyond.
Born on the mean streets of upper middle class suburban Chicago, Sean learned the ways of the world through the dizzying heights of success to the lonesome depths of failure and emerged with the promise of a better tomorrow reflecting in his eyes and fiery passion in his belly.
He plays and teaches guitar on his RUclips channel where he regularly releases original music and projects to the adulation of legions of fans, who often compare him to Chris Pratt and one time Ryan Reynolds. He’s currently in the market for a nice leather jacket.

Thank you Sean! You have really helped fix and understand some of the songs I wrote years ago with implied chord voicing. So I left some of the songs alone; but other songs I added the implied voicing that I was unaware of. Your witty humor is great too! Also don't forget. Elixer string DON'T Squeak and are the best!

Thankyou. I restarted after a 37year break and content like this is really helping me unlearn my dependancy on full shape chords. Always plugging into amp (even acoustic) helps me "bake in" the volume control these voicings help with that is vital with band/vocals.

Wow, thx Sean!! Great lesson! I always seemed boxed into using 4 or more notes and this gives me affirmation I can change it up. Watched this 3 times already. (usually I watch you on the TV where I can't comment but I had to fire up the computer just to say this was REALLY helpful).

That flat 5 is so cool, though. When the key's other chords are all voiced on the 6th, 4th, and 3rd strings I like to make an exception by putting the flat 5 on the fifth string, bringing the pitch total up to 4 for just that -7b5 chord. I'm going to try leaving it out now, to get another simple -7 chord. I bet a little ambiguity there could be very useful for pivoting to a new key. Very focused and useful tutorial, I bet it helps a lot of musicians. Thank you very much!

As a teacher of teens for many years, I constantly have to balance talking too fast vs. too slow. Including in that the ability to hold your “audience’s” attention. So I try to vary my cadence, raise and lower my voice, and move around the class. Always keeping in mind time limits and trying to cover my topics within it. It’s a balancing act but you handle it well within RUclips’s constraints. Also, great lesson!

That would be a great title for your first 'children's book'!! "Sean and the Big Red Accordion"!! LOL I never played one, but I did struggle through a couple gigs playing 'pedal steel'. I also drew the short straw a lot for playing bass when the bass player didn't show up!! Great stuff as usual Sean!! Peace... --gary

Also, I like the homework song. The broken beat is cool, but I like jazz so that makes sense. I can see how some people would hate it. It’s an acquired taste, I think.

Excellent. Some more chord voicings to practice. I’ve watched lots of videos and wondered what chords where being played as I didn’t recognize the fingering. And now I see that many of them are these type voicings with implied notes. Now to actually practice them. As always thanks.
