  • Just a few years ago, Kevin Coleman was the next prodigy athlete out of St Louis Missouri, but the five star WR picked the wrong school and it has come back to bite him. After one year at Jackson State, Coleman had to move on from Coach Prime and find a new home at Louisville, but after not really making it work, he is now going to Mississipi State where he will look to save his career. Today, we will talk about his meteoric rise, his time in college and why going to Jackson State stunted his growth, enjoy!

    He actually had a good season at Jackson State. That wasn't a mistake any more than Travis Hunter who went to Jackson State and became a household name.
    1)The better argument or perspective is that he made a mistake in LEAVING JSU for Louisville.
    2) Your argument or perspective seem full of bias and ignorance and very much lacking in logic. As you never mention the FACT that hundreds of 4&5 star players go to Bama, Auburn, LSU, MS st, Ole Miss and are NEVER heard from again. Promising career in a Houdini trick.
    3)Keon was a 4 star at the time of his commitment to JSU
    4)It certainly appears that your intent is to smear JSU/HBCUs more so than to report on a player. Afterall, no mention of new team adjustments, sophomore "jinx", different team offensive concept.

    For the record, your opinion sucks… Deion was and is an established coach at JSU, and the big mistake he may have made is not follow the hype train when it left JSU. Yet still he has great possibility of going pro regardless of him playing for JSU. Although only one player was drafted in the NFL from JSU for 2023, JSU has produced multiple pro football players to include several Hall of Famers. Personally I’m not a huge 5 star fan anyways, I prefer 3 & some 4 stars. Stars in High School are over rated anyways, especially since the NIL.

      This guy doesn’t t know what he’s talking about, Jackson State has had many players to play in the NFL which includes 5 Hall of Famer’s , 2nd thing is why didn’t it hurt the Sanders, Hunter, Craig, and Brown.

    • @danielp2412
      @danielp2412 12 дней назад

      @@slackhammer4467 if HBCUs were the way more players would go there, but it’s not. NFL scouts aren’t running to HBCUs to recruit players, they’re going to the power 5 schools Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State etc… the only players having success after transferring from Jackson State is Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders, that’s because the offense is ran through them. I guarantee Kevin Coleman didn’t expect just to play one year then have to transfer. He should’ve just went to the school he was originally gonna go to, idc how many players went to the nfl from Jackson State they’re not producing first rounders year in and year out, and tbh if he stayed at Jackson State until he’s draft eligible he still wouldn’t go 1st round because of the level of talent he would have played against. Imagine if he would’ve gone to Ohio State from the jump a school that’s had 3 receivers selected in the first round the past 3 years and got to sit behind Marvin Harrison and Ebuka and learn from better receiver coaches than he had at Jackson State and Louisville. He’d be next up and probably a for sure projected 1st round pick but I don’t know what I’m talking about
