RNA quality testing with Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer

Agilent Bioanalyzer 2100 is a very useful tool to assess the quality of RNA. It gives you RIN with a maximum value of 10 and 28s/18s ratio which ideally should be 2 or more. However, it is important that you look at the actual bands as well that give you further information as explained in the video.

Various protocols including Maxwell, column, with and without DNase.

TRIzol Reagent has given me the best results. The only modification made from the manufacturer's protocol is that instead of doing 2 washes with 75% EToH, I do 3 washes.
