  • Other Thai students are always asking me for my favorite books, RUclips links and instructors. Over the past 2 years of learning Thai, both self-studying and in the classroom, I've amassed a huge collection of RUclips links, online resources and other useful tips and tricks and I've put all of them into a free Google sheet.

I really enjoyed your videos series on Chula Intensive Thai Programme. I find them informative and interesting. That will be my goal at the end of the year or early Jan 25. Thank you for making the videos!

This spreadsheet is pure gold! PS The link to 'Speak and Listen' in Vids - Teaching is broken.

Looks like they either changed their channel name and/or just shut it down. Happens a lot with smaller channels.

Hi Humphrey, first of all, thank you for this and other videos. I find them very helpful.
I'll be going to Chula for the Thai Intensive Program soon.
What are your thoughts on which hardware was useful to you during class? e.g. laptop, tablet, others.
    Thank you!

You must have access to a computer since Chula uses Google Classroom quite a bit. You also can download a pdf of the textbook. So at a bare minimum a laptop. I used an iPad and put the pdf in it for easier viewing but I’d say it’s a nice to have (especially if you have older eyesight) instead of a must

Do you recommend getting the Apple Pencil for iPad? If so, do you know of an iPad writing app for Thai that allows changing the font. You mention modern font...

Absolutely get the Apple Pencil with the iPad. They pretty much go together. For writing apps, Notability is awesome. Don't even worry about Modern Font for now. Just learn the regular/traditional font and deal with Modern font later.
