  • I took one intro to painting class in the middle of college and discovered my hidden talent. I never looked back.

I've enjoyed your art and watching your techniques with your simple brushes for a long time. I really started loving your posts when you spoke about your feelings and would go for your runs and chat. I'm also a painter and struggle with the voicing my feelings but get lost in my art like you do I think. It's a beautiful feeling. You've also encouraged me to work out more and take better care of myself. I would love for you to share a bit more about your brushes so other people know you don't have to spend a fortune to paint. I also get the loneliness a bit but as long as I have my art I'm not alone. Keep doing it Lori!

Hi Lori, I used to be an art consultant in Maui, where I met Brian Pezman.. I remember him saying "You remind me of my friend Lori, follow her on instagram" and I have been ever since. Im really grateful he recommended that because you're work is so inspiring. I paint and am also self-taught, have sold work sporadically but have found it a mystery how to get your artwork out there to start getting more consistent clients. So I think I'm somewhere in the middle of your story of the artist's journey. To live off of what you love is truly the dream. Amazing story and thank you for showing what is possible! Other artists will definitely resonate with your channel and what you have to share. xx

Great story. Your art, obviously is fantastic. It's nice to hear the human side to add along with the talent portion of who you are. Looking forward to more videos and tons of art. Hope to one day be on your commission list.

I just love you and all that you do 🥰 you are such an inspiration! And you are definitely a soul I find to have much in common with. I love all of your work so much and the affect it’s had in so many people!
Do you ever struggle with artist burnout doing commissions for others instead of just painting something from your soul? How do you find balance and stay motivated if you do? Something I personally struggle with.
    Thank you for sharing this!

I followed and found you on Instagram while searching for artists. Your work is superb and your writing and communication skills are sharp. What books do you read? Art, spiritual, self help books? Your ability to express your emotional feelings in art, reading and video are an inspiration for me and really charge my art/ spiritual energy. Thank you.

Thank you for choosing to share a bit more of your history. I'm glad that your ACL has healed enough so that you can box and run and everything now! You've been incredibly resilient, and although that kind of injury is difficult to heal completely, in a bittersweet way I'm glad that you now find peace and pleasure doing painting.
Hearing how you painted around a piece per week for 5 years I'm thinking "that must have been so intense"! How did you get through that period of intense production? Did you learn things about self-care and find certain questions to ask yourself to help you re-balance or maintain balance? Did you struggle at all with feeling pressure or anxiety and how did you release or channel that into your art?

You inspire me every day, I am very thankful I found your page. I would like to say that I relate to you but I haven't been brave enough to put my art first, but I hope someday I will. I really let myself go during college and just became a robot, stopped painting and working out, so watching you really gives me hope and feel I'm getting back on track spiritually and embracing what my heart tells me to do. If I ever make it as an artist, I'll have you to thank you properly. For now, I send you a hug and wish you well!

I would love to hear about fur detail with acrylic paint when painting animals or pictures with fine detail !

Would love to know about the brushes you use... how you load them with paint.. they never seem to stop giving you colour.. and how you treat your acrylics so they don't dry faster than you can apply?

Love your art and posts. Any thoughts on patheism - Pantheism implies a lack of separation between people, things, and God, but rather sees everything as being interconnected.
