I love being a Ravenclaw... although, people usually think that I am a Hufflepuff. I usually say I am a Ravenclaw with some Hufflepuff tendencies. I love being a Ravenclaw because I am so misunderstood and people do look at me with this wtf look LOL like today I asked someone a specific question about my job and they were like ... run that by me again?? lol I ask the weirdest questions that seems like only I understand and very rare if someone else does. I am definitely the Luna Lovegood type of Ravenclaw and I love it.
I think people don't understand ravenclaw because the main trait of a ravenclaw is individuality meaning every ravenclaw has different personality so it is hard to understand their traits sometimes
All of the different traits is what makes Ravenclaw strong! Yes, we are intelligent and yes, we learn differently. But it's how the house comes together and is a family unit like no other. (How's that for an answer?)
I’m a Ravenclaw myself and I don’t mind my house being underrated at all , in fact I prefer it that way , this is what separates us from the rest . Only us Ravenclaws know the true value of our house we don’t need everyone to understand us.
One struggle I find is that sometimes when you correct someone when they get something wrong and they scoff at you basically saying “Don’t be a smart ass” when your just trying to help.
Proud Ravenclaw here. It really irks me how little attention Ravenclaw gets compared to the other houses, especially Gryffindor and Slytherin, in the Harry Potter books and movies and in the fandom in general. Even Hufflepuff is starting to get more love thanks to Newt Scamander in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. We Ravenclaws have yet to have a main character representing us. I am a Ravenclaw and I feel like one of the struggles I encounter is the fear to disappointment in terms of getting a good grade and having a creative pursuit. But I just realize that I am more than that, when I fail it should not destroy me instead should only strengthened me.
Yeah, i feel like im never good enough. I get nervous about any schoolwork because anything lower than a 100% just makes me feel like a failure. Everyone expects me to be so smart that im scared to ask for help when im struggling with a topic because of what they might think of me and that im just stupid for not getting it. Im sorry for leaving all this here, i just dont get to talk to people about this type of stuff.
@@Person-ed2ys Same, that's exactly the same situation I am in. Like I'm scared and afraid that I may fail and disappoint my parents after all that they have done for me. As well as, like...I used to get positions at school, so people outside my family and my family just labels me as smart, and expect me to continue being 'smart'😔
The bronze/silver change doesn't bother me as much as the fact we have just 1 bird as our sigil. If we are the diverse people we are, why not have the students pick an Avian they want on their uniform and... wing it?
@Ilinca Sîrbu I have often found such a mindset or likewise to be limiting intellectual and creative ability. I am quite aware J.K. Rowling wrote the series the way they are... I presume she is the author... but that will never motivate me to submit myself to these standards. My mind goes above and beyond... my wings flutter in the air... and where I land is place that cannot be taken away...
I'm a Hufflepuff and admire Ravenclaws so much, their way of seeing and understanding things is many times mind blowing. Also, I can only imagine how frustating these missconceptions must be for you guys. Love you Ravens!
Yea! I’m a ravenpuff so I relate to both. I love how you guys are willing to defend your friends at all costs and understand how to help people. Not to mention the food.
@@m_artroom "Not to mention the food" hahaha true xD Thanks for your words😍! And it's really cool that you can relate to both❤!! Each of the four houses is amazing in their unique way so 🥰

Hi a proud ravenclaw here I love how eccentric and different we are then most people, people don’t get us, and how different we are how smart, and creative we are
Hi, a proud Ravenclaw here. I love how eccentric and different we are then most people. People don't get us and how different we all are. How smart and creative we always will be.* (Sorry for correcting you. I am a Ravenpuff/Huffleclaw, and I HATE misspelled grammer. At the end I replaced 'all are' with 'always will be' since if you repeat yourself too much it isn't really proper *proper* grammer. It makes it sound dry.)
Marie T where is this from please ? I'm curious (as always) I also thought it could be for "ravenous" claws (hungry like an eagle well it fits with the idea of endless curiosity and thirst for knowledge)
Someone also said "Ravenclaw" doesn't mean "a raven's claw", but means "a bird with a _raven_ (black) claws" aka Eagle. And that made so much more sense.
I am proud to be a Ravenclaw! One of the struggles I have noticed is just being at peace with your mind and what you want to express. It feels as though the act of expressing is almost never enough. And to also just have some peace and a bit of quiet inside the mind. But I do love the wonder and authentic that my mind affords. I feel like other people in this comment section may see the same thing. Let's explore our wonderland one dream at a time; together and forever.
Underrated means ignored, and ignored means left alone. That sounds good to me. Also more focused houses also carry higher expectations, which also means deadlines. Big negative in my book
Struggles/Stereotypes I can think of as a Ravenclaw: people think that we value logic and reasoning beyond all else. While this is true, Ravenclaws (myself included) have immense emotional intelligence and empathy as well.
I am very proud to be a Ravenclaw. And people in other houses don’t get how complicated we have it. We always think that because we are in Ravenclaw we have to live up to certain expectations and be the most intelligent but it’s not always like that! Intelligence isn’t the only trait of a Ravenclaw. We are all hard working individuals and we should love that about ourselves! 🦅💙
Ravenclaw is one word, so translates to "black claw," which eagles have. It's like when a woman was referred to in literature as a "raven-haired beauty." It means her hair was black (and often shiny). It didn't mean it was shaped like the bird!
One thing that seems to be a common misunderstanding is that Ravenclaws think with only their heads. There are plenty of empathetic Ravenclaws that are genuinely caring and act through their hearts. It can be a hard situation because they may come across as know-it-alls or priers when they want to help out in a time of need.
That's why I purposely get low scores on a certain subject or else people will call me apostheotic (dunno how to spell that right but it summs up to being God like)
Same. Ravenpuff/Huffleclaw is my classification, and I can be Antisocial, yet social. I like to interact with others yet hate doing so at many times, quite like mood swings. I love to learn, yet I also love fiction books/stories/fanfiction. I have trouble with things I am not passionate about, like Career Explorer in my school. Yet earlier in the year since Career Explorer is only a semester, I had Art for my 1st semester. I was not great at it, yet I had a lot of Passion put into it, though like many in Ravenclaw I have a mild case of OCD I believe. I got all A's in Art even though I didn't do that well in Art (I have no natural talent in art like my sister) since of the effort and passion I put into it. I followed the instructions to the T, and put effort and passion into my projects. My teacher in Art graded our effort put into doing the project (the time spent working instead of playing around), how well we followed instructions (One project had me mess up at last minute, yet with help from the teacher I fixed it. It followed the instructions even though it didn't look great.), and not really much on the ability to do art though that also goes in one with effort at times. I never did bad in that class, though I was always worried about things in there so much that if it was a Core class I would probably develop an Anxiety disorder. I miss the the Art teacher, and hope I have her class again. I am however, horrible at School Projects unlike most Ravenclaws. It's not that I am horrible at doing work, but the ability to bring the knowledge into real life for me (Like for example, an science model for a science project. I skipped the whole thing even though it was a big part of my grade. Thankfully, I had good grades in there and got a B, though if I did the project it certainly would've been an A. I never told my dad because I kept procrastinating to talk to him about getting the objects needed to present, and decided that unless he asked, I wouldn't bring it up. I value honestly, and I never lie unless it is one of ommition. If they ask directly I would tell, but I still like my secrets.) is rather lacking. I am better at theoretical work then doing projects like that. Hope you all have an amazing day/dawn/morning/afternoon/evening/dusk/night/midnight/any other time zone terms yours if referred to!
I'm generally a Ravenclaw, but sometimes I have VERY Hufflepuff-y days. I'm pretty introverted, but I do enjoy the company of people I care about. I really like learning new things (especially about the arts and history), but I am also very passionate about social issues and human rights. Overall, I like school, but I really wish I could spend more time on topics that interest me (also, I notice many things that are left out of my school's history books, unnecessary math and English skills they teach us, and lessons that are not very well taught. Not exactly an obedient student, I know.) I like reason and logic, but sometimes I just really want to do useless, illogical things. This rant has gone on for way too long, so I'll say goodbye now. And hello to all of my Ravenpuff buddies! Love you all!
I remember having a crisis over being a Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff. Despite being an extrovert and finding loyalty the best quality, something about Ravenclaw just spoke to me. And by that I mean the reading books, the brown and blue colour scheme, creativity and wit, eagle mascot, and the fact I have Luna's birthday. Oh yeah and because I adore Luna.
nice vid! i feel like its safe to say that plenty of people here have been accused of being a "smartass" at some points or even "not paying attention to what's happening". I'm almost assured lots of wit lol
"Sky's the limit" why are you setting your limit so low I mean we have physically gone past the sky and into space and since November of 2000 there has always been a person in space (on the space station)
I had my reservations about being a Ravenclaw after taking the official test, but this synopsis of what it truly means to be a Ravenclaw ... the accuracy of my own personal life is astute to the point of BAFFLING. Multiple projects and a brain that operates as a perpetual engine even at night ... spot on!
I'm a Ravenclaw, the struggle i had is i cant shut up my brain to make another idea poping up. I used to workout before bedtime to help me get a good sleep.
I think what makes someone a Ravenclaw mostly is one’s truth in one’s self. Ravenclaws don’t look for outside appraisal or need someone to tell them what they are they are confident in their abilities and know their limits. That’s why Hermione wasn’t a Ravenclaw because she always wanted to be the best and need validation from her peers. Ravenclaws can have all the traits of the other hoses but that one difference between knowing yourself and not knowing makes all the difference.
I am a Ravenclaw 🦅 and I love the quarks of our House. You don't have to be incredibly smart on every thing or even things the other houses find important. Woolie disciplines are good oh and on that people say Hermione Granger should have been a Ravenclaw 🦅 .no she didn't have the imagination , just knowledge alone doesn't make you good enough to be a Ravenclaw 🦅 . Imagination and wit need to be there and she was missing the imagination to be a Ravenclaw,
yea even Professor Trelawny said that she was not spiritual enough to even get a grim in her cup LOL Hermione was too narrow minded to be a Ravenclaw. She is smart hell yea, she meets that stereotype but she was Brave and Bold enough to be placed as a Gryffindor.
Herimione just had the luck of being a bookworm. Sure, she was, but she clearly was the brain cells of the Gryffindors, not a Ravenclaw. She is VERY impulsive when given encouragement. I hate her, and I don't even know why.
I swear I’m nocturnal. And, despite my love for learning, I have the worst grades imaginable just because of the complexity in which the teachers go about things. But I do love learning, I just have my own ways.
Also one other thing, people think that ravenclaws are all serious and not funny because we are logical and "nerds". Like we can have fun too you know.
I think one of the most challenging things for me as a Ravenclaw is that there's no end to how much I enjoy exploring and delving into things. It can be fun and illuminating when it comes to educating myself, but also gets very overwhelming in my creative efforts. But I guess that's the price of constantly thinking outside the box. 😅
i wish Newt Scamander from Hufflepuff would have some companions from Ravenclaw that is also witty or even more than him. Seeing Newt he was such a badass for his resourcefulness and utilization of his magical beasts and caring nature. If he would have a Ravenclaw companion in his adventures, i wish that they be a bit sherlockian or moriarty-ish and is a stress freak with a puzzling mind totally opposite to Newt's calm and sweet demeanor.
I used to think I was a slytherclaw with more slytherin tendencies and a bit hufflepuff but then after watching this, I know I'm a Ravenpuff with A LOT of ravenclaw tendencies. I didn't know why I related to this more than slytherin but now I know. I'm a RAVENCLAW!!!
I am a ravenclaw and I actually prefer the raven as a mascot for the following reason: I've never been good at school, I've never been a bookworm but I've always been curious, creative and original. to me the eagle represents what I do not have, whereas the raven would be a more "odd" bird which wanders in areas others wouldn't. Not because it's beyond their reach but because others are repelled by taboos whereas I'm attracted to them. I'm more of a Luna kind of ravenclaw than a Hermione kind of ravenclaw ( i know she was in griffindor but you all know what I mean)
The bronze/silver change doesn't bother me as much as the fact we have just 1 bird as our sigil. If we are the diverse people we are, why not have the students pick an Avian they want on their uniform and... wing it? The school could have them commissioned and made. Some birds such as Eagles, Ravens and Owls are already available, but who wouldn't want a Fwooper, an Augurey or a Chicken as their own symbol? And if I were to choose just one, I would go for the Owl, due to its long history of symbolism. It was first associated with Athena, the goddess of wisdom and tactical warfare (strategy, as opposed to the mindless bloodshed of Ares, the god of *bloody* war). In Medieval times however, the owl represented lies, secrets and was a bad omen. The possible outcomes of these traits varies, but mind you, Ravenclaw has negative traits, don't ignore them. Then the Renaissance came about and the owl's previous symbolism came back. This is quite glossed over and there are many people who are by far in a better position to explain this. Seeing as layered as the owl can be in its symbolism motivates me to choose it if I were to only pick one. I vote for diverse house crests!
I really like your idea! It really fits with how all ravenclaws are very different individuals. More people need to know about this because its a genius idea.
The struggle I face Is finding my self with out paper and a pen when ever I have a really good idea. Like a dream it’s usually gone before I can find something to write it down on. The merchandise thing is also annoying I’d love zippo to make a legit Ravenclaw lighter or have a ravenclaw emblem on the tail side of a quarter. Or better yet make a Lions head on one side and a Eagle on the other.
1:50 also I heard that it's an Eagle because raven is referring to the colour ((shade) black) not the bird because an Eagle is a black clawed bird literally a bird with 'raven' 'claws'
Ravenclaw is VERY underrated like seriously luna lovegood - raven claw helena raven claw - ravenclaw The lost diana - Ravenclaw The smartest ppl at hogwarts - Ravenclaw
Very relatable! My father and I are Ravenclaws. We both have a problem of saying "Fun fact for you..." or "Did you know..." quite a bit in conversations. 😂
I am a ravenclaw scatterbrain because I do a art project and then I’ll want to do another one because I get another “cool” idea and I never really finish anything
Dumbledore: 50 points to Gryffindor! Snape: 50 points to Slytherin! Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw: *When they ask you how you are and you have to say that your fine but your not fine-*
We two (Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff) can just have a beer together and take self pride/satisfaction that we *actually* got our grades/triumphs through merits compared to the Gryffinbores. Also, at least Snape was more civil when he came to his cheating/favouritism. He never displayed any *outright* bias like Albus did.
Oh my god let me say it again. House traits are what each house VALUES. It’s not what they actually have or what their actual personalities are like. Lockheart was a dumbass who VALUED intelligence, and got sorted into Ravenclaw. He then took other people’s work and passed it off as his own to make himself feel better about being a dumbass. Pettigrew was the *definition* of a coward, but because he VALUED bravery and righteousness, he was sorted into Gryfindor. Crabbe and Goyle were about as clever and sneaky as boulders, but because they VALUED cleverness and ambition, they were sorted into Slytherin. And Zacharias Smith was an asshole, and literally described as disloyal (specifically to Harry and Hogwarts) in his bio. Despite this he VALUED hard work and loyalty, so was sorted into Hufflepuff. This doesn’t mean that no one in each house actually does show these traits (obviously) but the actual qualifications are VALUING those traits, not embodying them.
I think a big struggle is the misconception about our wisdom. I make sure to extensively study my chosen subjects and I’m intelligent in those areas. People often think Ravenclaws are intelligent in every single area but to become intelligent you do have to work hard and study.
I am a proud Ravenclaw, however, unpopular opinion, I have no issue with the mascot. I understand the Eagle, I also feel that it doesn't do us justice. The Raven however, not because of the name, but because this bird is clever, witty, is able to solve problems using tools, granted they don't fly high in the sky, but they are unusual, creative, different from other birds, and misunderstood. I think it represents the traits of the house more than an Eagle.
One of the things that I dislike is the need to sleep, I hope I could sleep only when a bored, I don't want to generalize but the desire to explore in every way sometimes makes us a bit Kinky, sometimes Raven claw seems like they are cold persons but many of us reason many times takes over emotion
I am talking less and less the older I get. It just saves energy. People don’t get me and I am easily frustrated. I’ve also learned to prioritise sleep and to limit my projects to two at a time.
Im UBBESSED with my house ravenclaw! I have always wanted to be a ravenclaw, then when I found out I am a ravenclaw I got really excited. And now soon hopefully Im going to make my rvaenclaw robes. :D
The two main struggles for me are: 1- Finding material is the proper colours, blue and *bronze,* rather than the movie's blue and ~Slytherin~ silver. 2- *Eagle,* please; not *raven.*
I've always been struggling to find at Hogwarts House in which I can identify and this helped a bit. Thank you! Unfortunately, I'm still not sure in which house I am (I'm tied between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw with a bit of the other two) but many of these struggles have always been my struggles (probably because I'm an INFP). When I talk about something I like, I think or I just try to explain a concept, people don't seem to understand and made me feel like I did something wrong. I've also always had trouble choosing something because I tend to overthink everything. As regards studying, I've never liked it (I'm a "procrastinator") except when I was interested in something I had to study. Plus, the more you told me to do, study or watch a thing the more I tend not to do it (for example when almost all the world told me to see games of thrones. So, I've never seen it just because everyone kept on telling me to see it). Instead, when I'm alone and I find something interesting, I want to learn not only every aspect about these thing but also what the other people think about it to see if their thoughts match with mine (sometimes yes, many times no) and try to understand why. I've never been good with riddles, games, maths but I was always interested in Literature and curious facts about History and Geography. I also tend to develop stories in my mind with my OCs but I had problems in both writing them and publishing them on websites both because I have problems focusing on writing a story and because the other people's judgment scares and kinda disturbs me. Being criticized even for the minor thing made me lose self-esteem and confidence (and I already have low self-esteem, so I like to keep my stories for myself). Edit: After doing several sorting quiz, I found out that, despite being an introvert, I found out that, more than a mix between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, I am a mix between Slytherin and Gryffindor. Well, I am still an Hatstall and probably a divergent.
Same here having a hard time to pick one an overthinking everything is has recently been a problem where it never was before and it's so furstrating an leads me to procrastinate an fix everything in my mind before I start anything were before I would just pick one an go I miss my old brain lol
@@valeriavitale1290 hat stall lol I like that .An no your definitely not . Thanks for responding have you been able to sort yourself yet or is it still ongoing?
@@chrisd1172 well I discovered that more than a mix between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw I am a mix between Slytherin and Gryffindor even if I am an introverted. So, I am still an hatstall. Anyway, in the games (like Hogwarts mystery and the future Hogwarts Legacy) I like to create Slytherin main character to show that you can be a good person and an hero even if you are a Slytherin (being ambitious, shrewd and cunning could be also used for doing good things)
I actually prefer ravens due to the connotations with Odin and wisdom. I personally think ravens are a better representation than eagles. Ravens are mysteriously wise, they contain a quiet confidence like they know a horrible truth that you don’t. Eagles on the other hand represent arrogance and pomposity. One is introverted and the other is extroverted. One is clever and cunning and the other is just physically powerful. In Scandinavia ravens were both respected and feared due to the darkness associated with them. They are weird and dark and feed off the dead. People believed they held a connection with death/the afterlife.
Does anyone know any other riddles given by the eagle door knocker besides the one with the phoenix and the flame? I'm trying to train on riddles, my back hurts from all the nights spent on the floor outside the common room😅
Wow! This is so true. Ravenclaws are so underrepresented. People think because we are Ravenclaws we know everything about everything. So if you get one question wrong once no one will let you forget. Also my brain NEVER shuts off. I am always thinking. I also have so many random facts going through my brain.
I’m a ravenclaw and I hate that the colors for ravenclaw merchandise are blue and silver instead of blue and bronze (which is a way better color combination imo). As for the mascot I’m pretty sure “Raven” refers to the color black and the “claw” refers to the... well claws or talons. The bronze eagle has black claws
Blue and bronze are a difficult color combination, they should be done right to look good, with the navy blue the bronze would not be seen at all. Silver works Best for the navy blue.
The multiple task hit me . I started a vegetable garden to learn to grow stuff and im taking a class to learn Japanese, i hve 2 dogs i walk and train everyday and i starting guitar lessons with my gf. And i love playing a good single player game. I want to learn to play the chello but i feel overwhelmed with hobbies ;-;. But i want to learn new things. People think Ravenclaw is book smart but i dont like school.
I was actual taken by surprise when I was told I was in Ravenclaw because my grades are just oooof but after looking deeper into the traits it makes so much sense because I have an urge for learning new things and I have to sleep with a notepad next to my bed to write down the things that my mind trails off to
I so relate to this.Used to think myself Hufflepuff in the past, but i find now... i cannot stop learning, i love creating new things and i get overwhelmed by all the things on my mind. I would dearly love to live in the night but... that in itself has been my source of inner conflict. DO i need to follow the cycles of the day like others do? I love the night sky, if the internet does not distract me from looking at it.
Tommy understanding , we, Ravenclaws ,maremalsomthe house from which Oracles, Soothsayers, and thisemwhomhave Divinatiry talents most often come from. So, that far away look that bumbling about , that's because we see outside the box, and from a perspective outside what most others know and we are doing it right there right then. The essential combination of intelligence and creativity let some of us unfetter from the percieved linear nature of Time. We are able to make the leaps that looking into the Future requires, a mind that is open enough to even think it possible, especially in the World of Potter, ,noone seems to really care much about what we come to See. So that Ravenclaw that always takes calling thier name at east three times,to get us to go 'huh..? ' gets that dopey daydream look, bumps into things like we are sleep walking....yeah our minds are literally somewhere else, literally. ....at least fellow Ravenclaws show a little kindness for those of us like that. They have the imagination to not just think it's all bunk and say it out loud us....
Actually the eagle has a much deeper meaning, Albania used to belong to schotland and has the golden eagle as country mascot, it's also the country where Rowena Ravenclaw hid the Diadem so it would make sense for her to take over the mascot as logo for her house.
since i'm a ravenclaw, people look at me weird when I have different ideas about things, and how they think that just because i'm a ravenclaw, that I know everything. And that they always question why I write all my thought that I don't want to lose down. It's quite annoying.
I was forming a Christmas list on Amazon and had a really hard time with finding the correct Ravenclaw logo on a shirt. Found nothing but the movie versions, or a custom one with blue and silver. Personally, I prefer blue and silver, but I want to respect the colors my house has. Eventually found a cool Ravenclaw shirt with an eagle and it's a black t shirt. Closest thing I could find, and I plan on getting a tattoo of the actual logo.
@@user-hr4th1vd5z I meant in popularity order lol Slytherin is really popular, Hufflepuff is no longer unappreciated cos they swapped places with gryffindor and ravenclaw is just... There

I am a Ravenclaw and I feel like one of the struggles I encounter is the fear to disappointment in terms of getting a good grade and having a creative pursuit. But I just realize that I am more than that, when I fail it should not destroy me instead should only strengthened me.
This is like me; I'm a Ravenclaw with Atelophobia (Fear of imperfection or not being good enough) What you said really is true.
Crazy how her system actually works irl isnt it
I hate how to movies change the mascot to raven just because raven is in the name😑 The eagle stands for intelligence. Get it right, WB.
Just a fellow Ravenclaw also I hate how they changed the colors to blue and silver instead of blue and bronze
The bronze/silver change doesn't bother me as much as the fact we have just 1 bird as our sigil. If we are the diverse people we are, why not have the students pick an Avian they want on their uniform and... wing it?
@Ilinca Sîrbu
I have often found such a mindset or likewise to be limiting intellectual and creative ability. I am quite aware J.K. Rowling wrote the series the way they are... I presume she is the author... but that will never motivate me to submit myself to these standards. My mind goes above and beyond... my wings flutter in the air... and where I land is place that cannot be taken away...
And silver and blue, it's blue and BRONZE, that's he hybrid house Slytherclaw, I'm a Slytherclaw and it triggers me, it's just so weird!
@@benjaminjohannessanchez3310 im not sure if you intended that pun but "wing it" was hillarious lol
I'm a Hufflepuff and admire Ravenclaws so much, their way of seeing and understanding things is many times mind blowing. Also, I can only imagine how frustating these missconceptions must be for you guys. Love you Ravens!
Oh thanks for admiring us we also admire you all Hufflepuffs too
Yea! I’m a ravenpuff so I relate to both. I love how you guys are willing to defend your friends at all costs and understand how to help people. Not to mention the food.

Yeah same and I just stay up at hours imagining or processing things it just becomes irritating sometimes
Hasn't anyone noticed that ravenclaw is slightly flawed? Any INTP's around 🤔
Im not a ravenclaw because im "smart", im a ravenclaw because i am a huge bookworm, fast learner and creative
Yup. Be glad you aren't like Herimione. She isn't Creative, and is quite narrowminded.
And weird af😜
Same! Its weird to see how i can relate to strangers
Hi a proud ravenclaw here I love how eccentric and different we are then most people, people don’t get us, and how different we are how smart, and creative we are
Hi, a proud Ravenclaw here. I love how eccentric and different we are then most people. People don't get us and how different we all are. How smart and creative we always will be.*
(Sorry for correcting you. I am a Ravenpuff/Huffleclaw, and I HATE misspelled grammer. At the end I replaced 'all are' with 'always will be' since if you repeat yourself too much it isn't really proper *proper* grammer. It makes it sound dry.)
As an ND individual who was sorted into Ravenclaw, I feel seen through this video with every detail mentioned. Proud to wear the blue & bronze!
Gryffindors mascot isn’t a griffin either, it’s a lion. So why can’t we just keep our eagle 🦅?
it's simple: a lion doesn't get mixed up with a griffin, whereas a raven and an eagle do.
The raven in Ravenclaw is the adjective not the noun. Raven=very deep black
Marie T where is this from please ? I'm curious (as always)
I also thought it could be for "ravenous" claws (hungry like an eagle well it fits with the idea of endless curiosity and thirst for knowledge)
It comes from Rowena Ravenclaw's name, just like the other houses.
soooo
very deep black claw?
@@swirl.4046 Basically
@@XPK15 Same. It is her last name.
I know this is random but we have the highest tower in the whole castle! I love Ravenclaw 🦅💙
That's why I purposely get low scores on a certain subject or else people will call me apostheotic (dunno how to spell that right but it summs up to being God like)
Late comment, but technically emotions are linked to the brain... The brain is the command center.
I’m a Hufflepuff but I’m also a Huffleclaw so I can relate to not being able to get my mind to shut up and to being odd and eccentric
Me too
You’re not alone
I remember having a crisis over being a Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff. Despite being an extrovert and finding loyalty the best quality, something about Ravenclaw just spoke to me. And by that I mean the reading books, the brown and blue colour scheme, creativity and wit, eagle mascot, and the fact I have Luna's birthday. Oh yeah and because I adore Luna.
nice vid! i feel like its safe to say that plenty of people here have been accused of being a "smartass" at some points or even "not paying attention to what's happening". I'm almost assured lots of wit lol
Haha 😂 tell me about it!! 😂😅, I can especially relate to the: “not paying attention to what’s happening” thing as well.
“Skys the limit” what do u mean there’s footprints on the moon! (Why is this so ravenclaw xD)
"Sky's the limit" why are you setting your limit so low I mean we have physically gone past the sky and into space and since November of 2000 there has always been a person in space (on the space station)
The moon has its own sky
I love the comment section, its like the Ravenclaw common room.
I sooo relate to the “brain never shuts off” thing and the “scatterbrained” thing as well 😂😅
I had my reservations about being a Ravenclaw after taking the official test, but this synopsis of what it truly means to be a Ravenclaw ... the accuracy of my own personal life is astute to the point of BAFFLING. Multiple projects and a brain that operates as a perpetual engine even at night ... spot on!
Nothing is more painful than the riddle door
I have a feeling in my friend group, most of them are either Hufflepuff or Gryffindor, while I am the strangest one that actually doesn’t mind it
I'm a Ravenclaw, the struggle i had is i cant shut up my brain to make another idea poping up.
In French Ravenclaw is translated in Serdaigle wich means Eagle’s claw so no confusion about the eagle on the House crest
Every time I correct one of my friends she says “ oh my gosh! Stop being so smart!” :(
I am a Ravenclaw 🦅 and I love the quarks of our House. Imagination and wit need to be there and she was missing the imagination to be a Ravenclaw,
True
yea even Professor Trelawny said that she was not spiritual enough to even get a grim in her cup LOL Hermione was too narrow minded to be a Ravenclaw.
Another trait of ravenclaw is having high standards for ourself 🤦😩
That is so relatable.

I was sorted in Ravenclaw by pottermore wayback 2016 and I always question it. Now I understand, except those riddles
I'm a RAVENCLAW!!!
who else relates to all of these- 😭😭
When signing up for wizard world on Pottermore I've found out in my stored house Howarts is Ravenclaw.
So right I love this 💝Yess Ravenclaw. My house😗
@@Person-ed2ys Thank you, Person! Lol
(Which Avian would you choose?)
I dunno if that makes sense. A house-crest is supposed to be a rallying point. Not sources of division within the same house.

Most of us who got to Pottermores earliest beta-stage were Ravenclaws. They had to change the quiz after that. 😅
1:50 also I heard that it's an Eagle because raven is referring to the colour ((shade) black) not the bird because an Eagle is a black clawed bird literally a bird with 'raven' 'claws'

People feel jealous.dont want to talk with me.i don't have a good friend.
Mee too
That's unfortunate. Do you want to be friends?
*sleeps outside because I cant solve the riddle*
I am talking less and less the older I get. It just saves energy. People don’t get me and I am easily frustrated. I’ve also learned to prioritise sleep and to limit my projects to two at a time.
Im UBBESSED with my house ravenclaw! I have always wanted to be a ravenclaw, then when I found out I am a ravenclaw I got really excited. And now soon hopefully Im going to make my rvaenclaw robes. :D
I don’t think people understand Ravenclaw just because we think differently 🦅
The two main struggles for me are:
1- Finding material is the proper colours, blue and *bronze,* rather than the movie's blue and ~Slytherin~ silver.
@@chrisd1172 I think we are very similar. I’m glad that I’m not the only hatstall in the fandom.
Love to all the fellow Ravenclaws out there
I actually prefer ravens due to the connotations with Odin and wisdom.
When I was younger, my mum bought me a Ravenclaw scarf and I was so upset it had the Raven symbol and not the Eagle.
Only a ravenclaw can feel what a being able to think so much at once could feel like💙
I was actual taken by surprise when I was told I was in Ravenclaw because my grades are just oooof but after looking deeper into the traits it makes so much sense because I have an urge for learning new things and I have to sleep with a notepad next to my bed to write down the things that my mind trails off to
Also we tend to have hufflepuff friends, like not even we can resist the huffy bois 😄
My brother wants me to shut up bc i always yelling random facts to him xD
The most irritating part of being a Ravenclaw is trying to explain that in the books we are the least mentioned to a Hufflepuff
since i'm a ravenclaw, people look at me weird when I have different ideas about things, and how they think that just because i'm a ravenclaw, that I know everything.
