The fact it takes longer to get XP wasn’t a bad thing. I hated the fact I got lvl 70 in two days last season and I had barely played. Having a cap means I feel more rewarded as I complete my battle pass as I have to actually try to get XP like old seasons.
Fun fact: Vbucks also used to be spent on Llamas back then on STW. IMO this may seem expensive but considering how easy it was to get Vbucks through a founders pack it wasn’t too bad, still enjoy the new system though.
i feel like epic will one day remove founder pack owners ability to do missions for vbucks, although I wonder if its a big enough dent to their profits for them to even worry about it

The points you make are absolutely true; no counter argument from me. There's so many items that are priced way too high for how little they can offer. Kicks and instruments being the worst offender, and the trend towarss collab skins because they have all the freedom in the world to price them highly due to recognition. But about Crew, wouldnt it be possible to just level up normally, without any battle passes, then pay for the subscription whenever you're eligible to redeem everything you want? Like, yeah, I would like to use the new Hope skin right now, but since Crew works like that, it would be better for me to wait until I'm level 100 + eligible to redeem Godzilla as well, then subscribe and immediately cancel. You still get the vbucks from the battle pass too, so it's a good chunk of vbucks (with admittedly less buying power) and all you did was play normally and have patience to not buy the Crew immediately.

Ive been subscribed to crew since before it had more than the battle pass, them they upgraded it, 9 months now, no breaks, it IS a good value and now became a GREAT value because of the extra passes, i had sometimes bought the other passes because of a skin i liked, now i can save the vbucks for the item shop instead, hate when people act like them keeping the price the same and adding more is a disadvantage somehow

With collabs unfortunately its a different thing, licence is not cheap and it is most of the time for a limited time
If you already bought the battle pass every season, the thing that you have to do now is, either buy the battle royale pass for 1k bucks and use the vbucks you get there to buy one of the other passes you think are worth it, or get crew whenever you finish every battle pass

You have to hit level 200 to complete it and it’s impossible to do that in one month and once you unsubscribe to the crew you can’t unlock anything unless you subscribe again so you have to pay 22 plus tax and to fully complete it instead of just paying 10. But you get rocket league stuff and all other passes and 2000 vbucks plus 1500 on the battle pass but it’s the fact that they force you to subscribe again which makes it terrible

I think its kinda obvious they shifted towards that system cause many people (including me) bought a crew to get 1000 vbucks and pass (or even 2 passes if you subbed during season change) and then canceled subcscribtion and they want people to keep being subscribed. At the end of the day, you can still kinda go arround the system. Finish all passes without buying them and then buy crew at the end of season to claim everything. Hovewer I am kinda sad that this deal 1000vbucks + 2 passes for 12 bucks is over... But still, fortnite is killing it recently especially as a free game

Also, it makes sense that Epic would lower the amount from last season because they're trying to balance the xp across all modes. Since you can play any mode and gain xp, if every single one gives 5 levels a day, it means there will be people who conplete the bp in 1-2 weeks and quit playing the game. The change to xp is also to make it so those players can't just get done with the bp really early in the season and quit, they actually have to play the game more throughout the season.

It's no secret how they get ya. You want just wolverine they make a profit 📈. You love wolverine and dead pool, here is a cheaper deal for both. And you're like I love wolverine but I can get both for less than buying them individually. I ran into this problem with the icon singers and rappers bundle that just came out. I only wanted billie eilish and the weekend individually. I didn't care for gaga and Carol that much. All four individually were expensive. I compared the math of 2 individually being less worth it than just buying the bundle for a little more than the 2 separately together. So I bought the bundle because it be dumb to get the 2 when the bundle was a little cheaper by comparison for all and you get 2 more skins. Don't get me started on the guitars. I dont play the rock band ripp so they do nothing for me and jack up the price. 2ndly: Epic wants your money 💰. They want your life to be this game. You get the crew which i got a long time ago for 2 or 3 dollars more than the battle pass, giving me the battle pass, 1000 vbucks that's 3 dollars less than you just paid sorta getting your money back an a character each month. Sounds good. 👍. Then they added characters that get a new style each every month. 6 new styles each. Sounds good.👍. If you unsubscribe your characters will lose all the styles they haven't unlocked yet and you will have incomplete characters. So you don't unsubscribe. They got you. And your going to want to try each style in game after all but who has the time. I used to because I used to have the luxury of getting 5 hours play time at my job. I did security. After midnight when every one was asleep I could play in my booth on my switch till someone wanted to get in the gated community I guarded 💂♀️. My boss allowed it and it paid well so I'd buy all hundred teirs so my xp would go to the next hundred for all legacy styles. Because I got to play every day for 5 hours garinteed. I'd unlock everything that most people never could unless they play as much as me. On top of that since I could play 5 hours every day I'd always end up at lv 400 every season and the kid playing thought I was a streamer. 3rdy. Now the crew gives you all passes where every game mode xp combines for everything. Sounds good 👍. But now you need to play each game mode and prioritize which game has the most weekly challenges to strategisz max ex doing weekly with the challenges garinteed just playing normal. And ranked for a pickaxe that's hard to unlock 🔑 because the better you play and progress the harder it is. So in conclusion you're constantly playing and will not unlock everything. With all the new characters in item shop I haven't even gotten started on using my crew skins with 6 styles let alone the battle pass. I dont have the time to try out everything any more because I left that job. By the time I finish everything new all my battle pass characters will unlock everything. The extra styles and legacy. The last 3 season i still haven't gotten to try the legacy styles out because im busy with the next season with my limited play time. If I didn't buy all the tiers I'd never finish. Every thing is for profit and keeping you playing with that damn time limit to finish the pass or you miss out. Like if you actually read all this. 😅
The legacy styles are not lost when you unsubscribe it just requires you to resubscribe, and you will unlock the next style. Also that's how bundles work they're meant to be cheaper then by itself I can't believe we're complaining about this when it's ultimately getting more for not much more. Also instruments don't increase the bundles by that much I've seen older bundles that didn't have instruments that costed more than ones that do.

If you skip a month one new style each will be missing. You're subscribe next month and you continue rewards after each one you missed the previous month that are all one style apart in progression. So if you skip one month all the characters progressing will be missing 1 style out of 6 if you skip 1 month. At least that was my understanding

(I want to continue the discussion. This will be long but worth reading on my insite.)
Oddly every single thing you covered I was thinking about this past week. First the bundles. It's no secret how they get ya. You want just wolverine they make a profit 📈. You love wolverine and dead pool, here is a cheaper deal for both. And you're like I love wolverine but I can get both for less than buying them individually. I ran into this problem with the icon singers and rappers bundle that just came out. I only wanted billie eilish and the weekend individually. I didn't care for gaga and Carol that much. All four individually were expensive. I compared the math of 2 individually being less worth it than just buying the bundle for a little more than the 2 separately together. So I bought the bundle because it be dumb to get the 2 when the bundle was a little cheaper by comparison for all and you get 2 more skins. Don't get me started on the guitars. I dont play the rock band ripp so they do nothing for me and jack up the price.
2ndly: Epic wants your money 💰. They want your life to be this game. You get the crew which i got a long time ago for 2 or 3 dollars more than the battle pass, giving me the battle pass, 1000 vbucks that's 3 dollars less than you just paid sorta getting your money back an a character each month. Sounds good. 👍. Then they added characters that get a new style each every month. 6 new styles each. Sounds good.👍. If you unsubscribe your characters will lose all the styles they haven't unlocked yet and you will have incomplete characters. So you don't unsubscribe. They got you. And your going to want to try each style in game after all but who has the time. I used to because I used to have the luxury of getting 5 hours play time at my job. I did security. After midnight when every one was asleep I could play in my booth on my switch till someone wanted to get in the gated community I guarded 💂♀️. My boss allowed it and it paid well so I'd buy all hundred teirs so my xp would go to the next hundred for all legacy styles. Because I got to play every day for 5 hours garinteed. I'd unlock everything that most people never could unless they play as much as me. On top of that since I could play 5 hours every day I'd always end up at lv 400 every season and the kid playing thought I was a streamer.
3rdy. Now the crew gives you all passes where every game mode xp combines for everything. Sounds good 👍. But now you need to play each game mode and prioritize which game has the most weekly challenges to strategisz max ex doing weekly with the challenges garinteed just playing normal. And ranked for a pickaxe that's hard to unlock 🔑 because the better you play and progress the harder it is. So in conclusion you're constantly playing and will not unlock everything. With all the new characters in item shop I haven't even gotten started on using my crew skins with 6 styles let alone the battle pass. I dont have the time to try out everything any more because I left that job. By the time I finish everything new all my battle pass characters will unlock everything. The extra styles and legacy. The last 3 season i still haven't gotten to try the legacy styles out because im busy with the next season with my limited play time. If I didn't buy all the tiers I'd never finish. Every thing is for profit and keeping you playing with that damn time limit to finish the pass or you miss out. Like if you actually read all this. 😅
The legacy styles are not lost when you unsubscribe it just requires you to resubscribe, and you will unlock the next style. Also that's how bundles work they're meant to be cheaper then by itself I can't believe we're complaining about this when it's ultimately getting more for not much more. Also instruments don't increase the bundles by that much I've seen older bundles that didn't have instruments that costed more than ones that do.
@ltisdabest21 cool. Tell that to your wallet. The point was you keep playing and they keep making money keeping the game alive. Fortnite won't die. @@derekmccluskey4931 I mean I was just mainly correcting you on the first point. I only responded to the rest to have a longer comment that also showed I read it. Also I don't really buy stuff it's a free game it doesn't really require you to.
If you skip a month one new style each will be missing. You're subscribe next month and you continue rewards after each one you missed the previous month that are all one style apart in progression. So if you skip one month all the characters progressing will be missing 1 style out of 6 if you skip 1 month. At least that was my understanding
@@derekmccluskey4931that's not the case I know it's not because I've unsubscribed and resubscribed multiple times and have all the styles for a majority of the Fortnite crew skins.
I can listen to that music for free outside the game on youtube or spotify
Then why would I buy the same in the game.

The reason you buy them in game is so you can play them in Festival or use them as emotes.
