  • The fountain turn at the Long Beach Grand Prix rates as one of the most crucial corners for IMSA's drivers to navigate, and with a brass sculpture and thousands of flowers surrounding the turn, it also rates as one of the most beautiful sections of any stop on the WeatherTech Championship calendar.
    Fun Facts: The bronze Dolphin Fountain was installed in the traffic circle on Aquarium Way in 1988. The sculpture is 10 feet tall and was created by James "Bud" Bottoms and entitled "Rainbow Riders.". There are 62 Flats of Lobelias with 36 plants each. Totaling 2,232 Lobelias around the fountain and they are set in a checkerboard pattern. It takes 2 days to complete and about 7 weeks to bloom. There are more than 6,600 Lobelias planted in various areas for the Grand Prix of Long Beach.

    Far more critical corners on that track for lap time but it's also an important one

      Yes actually, but you do have to pay for it. Really fun track
