I'm excited for you! You are so close! My husband took two weeks off work to stay with me. But we have a 4 year old so it was as much to take care of her as it was for me. After two weeks I was able to get her to school and do some things. But I was not all the way back until at least week 6. Since you only have to take care of Duke you could probably go back home after a week. Just know that you will still be tired. Good luck on these last few days!!
On the recovery part, I needed help for the first couple of days, maybe a week. After the week I was pretty much good to go by myself. I was still a tiny bit sore but I didn't need the constant help like I did the first couple of days after coming home from the hospital. :)
Holy cow! Have you reported the neighbors? I would so be calling animal protection! As for the head hunger, I totally feel ya, I'm not sure how I'm going to handle it post op. I'm not sure about the recovery, since I'm still in the same spot as you ... :) :)

You are doing well... picture the Cashew Chicken with something disgusting coming out of it like worms or roaches that will put you off... Good luck!
