    How has the current pandemic affected trucking? This is my first update for week one. Some things have changed, some haven't.

    Thanks, keep it coming, very helpful for drivers, shippers, consignees! Commerce can continue if we all stay six feet apart. If the sites you pick up or deliver to don't get this and haven't changed their procedures, let them know they need to! Use your own pen, wear your work gloves and consider getting latex gloves for fine hand work, wash your hands after all interactions. Drivers are the red blood cells of our economy! Stay strong, stay safe, and stay six feet apart!

    Apologies as I haven’t watched the whole video yet, but are you still making the same money as a Lease Operator? The freight rates have taken a huge plummet as a result of Covid? I’m thinking about leasing. Thanks!

    Pennsylvania rest stops are all barricaded off. Been having to sign waivers at shippers and receivers. No entry into buildings

    Hey Brother great videos man I've watched alot of them! Quick question I live in Southern Oklahoma I have 10 years Tanker experience in the Oilfield with a Tanker and Hazmat endorsement clean driving record and clean criminal record! Does prime have loads available for a driver living in Oklahoma? I'm really interested in a lease purchase program also. I've always been a company Driver.

      Oklahoma may be a good spot for our inedible division. Check with our recruiters for sure. Our lease purchase program requires $13,000 down. Beyond that, I would suggest you call Pedigree Truck Sales for more information.

      @@JohnOgren thanks for the reply brother!
      What exactly is the inedible division?
      Does prime not have a no money down lease purchase program like a lot of other companies offer? I was thinking they did and my credit is not so good and I do not have the 13k at the moment to put down so what do you suggest I do?

      @@JasonCoombsMusic we have food grade & inedible, which is pet food products. No hazmat. Lease is no money down, but there is no lease purchase with no money down.

      @@JohnOgren what exactly do you mean lease is no money down? And is it possible to be a company Driver then do a lease purchase from prime? I'm just trying to find out the best way to go about it. I would like to own my own truck someday and be running Tanker. I don't have experience running anything else really I like running Tanker I've had my cdl since 2007 been running in the Oilfield every since then Hauled oil, Drilling Mud, condensate gas, natural gas,salt water, Hauled just about everything you can with a Tanker in the Oilfield but would really like to get out of the Oilfield hauls because of to many ups n downs that the Oilfield has. So what do you suggest I do? I've been out of work since November and have pretty much no money at this point so lol

    • @JohnOgren
      @JohnOgren  4 года назад

      @@JasonCoombsMusic straight lease is no money down. Lease purchase is $13,000 down. Sure, you can start company and switch later. With no verifiable driving employment in the last 60 days, you likely will be required to take the refresher course. Again, ask a recruiter to know for sure. As to what I suggest, I always say that I can't tell anyone what to do. I'm doing this because it works for me. You need to figure out what works best for you. Good luck

    Do you have a Tank pre trip inspection videos. Is it different from flatbed and reefer trailer pretrip?

    • @JohnOgren
      @JohnOgren  4 года назад

      There really isn't anything extra from the reefer pretrip. With no sliding trailer tandem axles there actually is probably less

      @@AndStill. are we talking about the pretrip for your license or in the real world? For your license, there is no terminology the inspector is listening for. In the real world, you have to make sure nothing is leaking.
