This video was released 11 years after the program it's about. This video was released 12 years ago. There is a greater time difference between this video and now than there was between this video and the program's release.
Something i will love for the rest of my life. I have the trailer, the demo, and the complete thing. 1996 : I buyed 3d movie maker. 2008 : I still make films. Total of films maked : 50+. I think im slow, too!
@scrumf Wow, my comment is 12 years old! Time sure flies fast. But i'm doing OK. Love it? Oh yeah! I have trouble finding anything that resembles that kind of system. I've tried some SFM or Gmod in the past, but nothing really compares on the ease-of-use of 3DMM. I watched some live streams on people who did try (and succeded) to learn how the game works in his most advanced techniques, and i felt really happy to see somebody still using it. As for myself, i do have a virtual machine with 3dmm put on it so i can watch some movies and do a nostalgia trip. Making them? Eeeh, not so much. I do goof around sometimes, but doing it with a VM isn't the same thing for me. I hope that someday, somebody will make a modernized version. There's people who's trying to do that after all.
I love how everyone is replying to old comments on this old video or making new comments so they become old as well in 10+ years. Clearly making history right now and being a part of it. To everyone seeing my comment in 10+ years: Hi! I'm a old man now :)
Reading through this comment section is internet archaeology. As you travel through it, there are layers that appear, first comments from about 1 year ago, asking if people are still alive for some reason. The next layer is around 5-3 years ago, and is generally just variations of "omg, this is so old" and "hello future me" or "the algorithm brought this back up" Beyond that it is a bit of a murky mess of comments from various times with no distinct separation, until you get to about 11 years where you find people old enough to have used this tool and remembered it from when it originally came out, reminiscing on their 90s nostalgia and asking if they can still get their hands on the game. This occurs also on a band at 13 years. Then of course there are those oldest comments from 15 years ago, the 1 or 2 that have by some miracle of random chance not been crushed by the overwhelming mass of the others above them. "where did you buy this game" is not a particularly funny or interesting comment, but it dates back to nearly the beginning of this website, and that alone is enough to give it an immortal value, a testament to the enduring nature of internet humour and it's ability to preserve even the most obscure things. Here's to the future, and all the extra layers that will amass above this one, all the hours more time people will spend in this section asking "are you still alive" and commenting on how "it is interesting that this man also voiced the G-Man". Here's to the generations to come that will find this video, read through the comments and be awestruck by the small time capsule that exists here. This comment was posted at 13:02 GMT+1 on the 24th of October, 2021. I am probably still alive. I hope.

Hello comrades. I saw this video because of RUclips recommendations. I was very impressed by the fact that there are people who were able to respond to other people on their own comment after 16 years. Some commentators managed to move from adolescence to adult life. Some of those old commentators have died, which is the saddest thing for me. Those who died had their own personal lives, their own little history. They were able to leave this piece of history under this video in the comments. I would also like to leave a piece of history in the comments under this video. Terrible things are happening in the world right now (March 16, 2023). In 2020, a terrible coronavirus pandemic swept across the world, I think many people have had serious problems in life since 2020. I am now 19 years old (at the time of writing this comment). I wish the guys from the future a peaceful sky over their heads. I also hope that they will solve environmental problems and come up with treatment (medicines) for serious diseases. I just want all people from the future to be happy at the time of reading this comment. I really hope that I will be able to answer you in 15 years and maybe in 30 years. From Russia with love.
