    What is most funny here is the orchestra playing this was “the wiener philharmoniker” I can’t help laughing thinking Küchl playing this with that grumpy face😂

    Nice. It is so good to hear a fresh interpretation of a rather well-worn piece. Gergiev isn't jaded at all here. Very nice.

    Musically the first version is not too fast, but the accompaniment is not together all the time, and sometimes all the orchestra is not together. Only second version sounds a little faster than the natural tempo of the music, But the tempo of the first version is even more natural than the standard performances ones.

    @samdajellybeenie13 Speaking as a mallet-ist: they're probably the one who stood up one day and said: "Hey, I can play this lick with incredulous speed. All you all better keep up. Flutes, you're going down."

    2:05 The most difficult part....the piano.

    The worst part and arguably the hardest to play is the strings playing the up beats. Trust me, I've been there.

    how something can be to fast??? i hate this complaing about russians playing russian music or russian conducters conducting, its great!

  • @hshshs2007
    @hshshs2007 13 лет назад

    not taken for granted as the fastest you achive is the greatest you became as a conductor,the tempo is too fast ib a way it destroys everything in here,the melody,the atmosphere,the whole intentions of the composer too.not for my taste.Hesham Safwt cairo

      I have vinyl from 1950´s, where Sabre dance is conducted by Khachaturian himself. It´s as fast as this.

  • @afrofinka
    @afrofinka 3 года назад

    Wait… did he conduct the Sabre Dance twice to admit he failed the first time or just to show off how fast it can be played ???
    Ridiculous, cheap virtuosity but certainly enough for the Vienna audience.
