Seiji Ozawa, a name synonymous with excellence in the world of classical music, has left an indelible mark through his remarkable career. His legacy is not just in the notes he has conducted or the orchestras he has led, but in the bridges he has built between cultures, and the inspiration he has provided to countless musicians and music lovers around the world.
I saw this ballet Gayane long time ago back in Russia . Aram Khachaturian was very popular then . I also saw his other ballet Spatakus . This performance is magnificent . Maestro Ozawa and the orchestra are superb . Thanks a lot for posting this video . Sehr Gut . Danke . Spasibo .
For most people, this piece is known as: (a) the Sabre Dance itself, or (b) the former goal horn of the Buffalo Sabres. But I'm the type of person who tends to see unique things in classical music, so depending on which Playlist I'm using it's: (c) former president Taft aggressively fighting anything that even remotely resembled a business trust, or (d) an incident in which a car plowed into a group of people on horseback, hitting three of them and causing the other horses to throw off their riders. Item (d) is a real incident that happened somewhere in Florida. People were injured, but no one died.
Eh, one note was out of tune. The rest were fine. And this is an outdoor concert which no doubt messes with intonation. In the heat, brass go sharp and strings go flat.

0:49 - Man! Could they play more out of tune?
Fix your ear first.
