I have been riding E160 RSX for nearly 2 years, quite frankly, is the best E bike I’ve had (trek powerfly five, specialised levo and the E150 which I altered the fork to 160 mm of travel) first time on fox, suspension and liking it a lot
Good to know as Trek and Levo were on the list to try out too. I couldn't believe how well the e160 rode tbf so might not even be a need to try out anything else.
@@SEKTAMTB all my bikes were medium. The levo felt cramped. I’m only about 5 foot six, but I have a longer torso, so the extra reach makes a difference.
I rode a Specialized levo SL at a test day in Peaslake. It’s the lighter / half power version. It was quality. If I could afford one I would defo invest. It had all of the power you’d want uphill but felt completely natural downhill.
Yeah I have been considering a SL but not tested any out yet. Everyone I know who has gone with a light emtb has said they wished they'd got a full fat though 🤷♂️
Got a good deal on a focus jam2. Still getting used to it, but so much fun . Get so many more runs in . Even tow my 6'8 lump of a son up a fee times . Trying to stay on eco as much as i can , still want a bit of a workout 🤭😉
@SEKTAMTB always been against ebs. But so many in the group I ride with have them . Used to be able to keep up or ride faster than them . But knees and back issues, I decided to get one . Have said to myself I'm only going to use for bike parks etc , longer hilly rides . But it is so much fun . Was going to wait as so much good tech coming out . Love the pinion, no cassette etc. but to expensive right now . Amflow looks good. Jammy is good enough for what I ride and wasn't that expensive considering.
Arrh it was through a contact at Whyte bikes so not available to the public. They do host various demo days throughout the year though so worth keeping your eye on the events section of the Whyte website or ask one of the local dealers if they have demo's available.
You can hire e160s at qecp. I did last autumn and it was a lot of fun. Nearly bought one but I love riding my normal bikes and I know if I get an emtb I wouldn’t ride them. Everyone says they will but nearly all don’t. Plus at 50 I will never be this bike fit again. Not that I’m super fit. So I have put it off for a bit will definitely get one one day
@@simonkirby3791 Specialized ran a test day in Peaslake. You did have to pay £30 but you got lots of goodies and an hour on the bike. I’ve also done a similar test at balfes bikes in Gatwick. That was free and you got to ride two different emtbs. Only problem is there are no hills near Gatwick.
Love my E160!
Yeah dude I feel a purchase incoming 😬😉

I love the look of the Jam2 but not managed to get on a demo yet. Had you demoed any others to compare it to?

Ebikes is the way forward i got one and never looked back but thats just my opinion
Yeah I reckon in less than 5yrs you won't be able to buy a bike without some form of motor assist. We'll see.
Nice. I do like the look of the newer Whyte E Bikes and definitely the Bosch motor. Unfortunately I’m not in a position to change mine at the moment 😞
We'll have to arrange a ride soon buddy. 🤘
@ I’m going to try and organise a group ride around Peaslake at some point. I’ll let you know.
Sweet riding dude. I'll let you have a test on my Canyon at Rogate tomoz, see what ya think of it (Y)
Nice one dude
Which side is Bagpuss mate?
It's on the top of Pitch Hill on the right if you are facing Thick & Creamy
Where did you get the demo bike from? Also interested in one of those and fairly near Surrey Hills. Thanks.
