I approve of that. I'd have motion activated 30mm every 200 yards along the entire border on the wall preceded by 200 yards of landmines before you even get close to the wall. With drone surveilance. Deportation by trebuchet.
Soccer is the dumbest sport. Field is too big, not enough scoring, too much flopping, the time added at the end seems completely arbitrary, the off-sides rule (as in hockey) is stupid, I could go on.
It's only popular internationally because it's the cheapest sport.
Why do your videos wander aimlessly? I can't take it. You are both top notch funny people. Just hire a few folks who study the latest news events and can give you stuff to talk about. I'm more of a hockey fan, but the nice thing about soccer is each half is 45 minutes straight without commercials and only 15 minutes of commercials inbetween.

Huge soccer fan for the record. Chelsea and LAFC. I get it though. I wasn't a soccer fan until I was 26 years old. I didn't understand why are we watching this game for and hour and a half if it's going to end up 0-0. 😴😴😴
But I'll tell you something. Once you do get it man, you get it. And there is no going back. I don't watch any sports other than soccer these days.
As for why, I guess it's tough to describe but I'll do my best. One reason was the World Cup 2018 in Russia. That was the first time I realized just how massive soccer is globally, and understood the weight of what was happening on the field. When you start seeing images of Columbian and Mexican fans in Russia, lifting an Egyptian fan in a wheelchair up above their heads so he could watch his team play, it really hits you. Like wow this is a truly a global thing. I mean you can go to a random village in Africa and I guarantee you there's a kid wearing a Liverpool jersey or something watching the game. Where did he get the jersey? How did they get cable all the way out here? Idk, but they made it work. Makes the personalities on the team really feel larger than life too. e.g. Messi and Ronaldo.
Kind of cool that the European leagues all feed into each other as well. You have really low division teams in England playing in cup competitions where they could end up playing giants like Manchester United. And the winners of the top divisions feed into a separate league called the Champions League, where you start getting the giants of the Italian leagues (Juventus, Inter Milan, etc) playing matches against Dortmund from Germany, or PSG in France, etc. And then of course the players all represent their home countries during World Cups. Mbappe for France, Harry Kane for England, Salah for Egypt, Ronaldo for Portugal, Messi for Argentina, etc. So if you're a fan of a team in the UK, you might have reaosn to root for idk, Ghana in the World Cup cause your favorite player is from there. That's pretty unique to soccer.
As for the lack of goals thing: The fact that they don't score very often makes it 1000x times more amazing when they do. I didn't appreciate soccer because I didn't understand just how technical and tactical it was. Once you start to understand the coaches philosophy and formations, etc you realize there's actually a lot more going on. The amount work and skill that goes into scoring a goal just makes it that much more special when it happens. I actually like that it's a nice blend of non-stop action with no breaks in play, but also has situational moments that Americans seem to enjoy in their sports. e.g. 3rd and long, 4th and inches. Soccer has set pieces, penalty shootouts, corners, etc.
The fans are f***ing NUTS. Like 1/4 black said: go to a game in Europe or watch RUclips clips of the fanbases at their home stadiums. It's unlike any other sport out there. Seriously. You'll get goosebumps.
Finally, my first live soccer game really sealed the deal. LAFC vs Leon (2nd leg) of the CONCACAF Champions League (that's the same idea for the Champions League in Europe, but for the Americas). LAFC down on aggregate from the 1st leg 2-0, so we had to win the game by 3 goals to advance in the competition. We ended up scoring 2 and were pushing for the 3rd to win, and in the dying embers of the game my boi Diego Rossi scored this floater from an impossible angle into the far corner to win it. And this all happened like 50' from me. Can't tell you how cool that was and how crazy the fans were. Google it lol
Best part of soccer is the pickles.

I used to watch football since it is a religion in Germany, but i quit after the World Cup 2014. Our Team sucks and virtue signals all the time. Now i watch boxing which is just the sport for now.

My family (I was born in mexico) loves soccer. I never liked it, but I like it when the whole family got together to watch it. The family always had a huge feast, there was the crazy ones screaming hilarious stuff, uncles getting all angry, aunts gossiping, and us the young ones, would be running, playing, eating, and just having a blast!
I don't like soccer. I _do_ like listening to the Mexican and Australian commentary team during soccer games, and I like listening to Europeans chant during them. I'm a sucker for a good chant. But I hardly hear either because I just don't care about soccer.

Tbh I like the show so much better without guests. Maybe it's just the last few guests on, but they REALLY made the show drag on/almost boring to watch/listen too. Overall I've been enjoying the show and seen every single episode
