New Resident evil Village Timed Demos
In this video we will break down the complicated 3 Saturday Resident Evil 8 demo release.
Basically there are 2 demos. A Castle demo and a Village demo. If you have PS4 or PS5, you get early access.
Sat, Apr 17th - Village Early Access (30 Minute Timer, 8 Hour Availability)
Sat, Apr 24th - Castle Early Access (30 Minute Timer, 8 Hour Availability)
Then for all systems including Xbox Xbox One, Steam, Stadia
Sat, May 1st - Village & Castle Combo (1 Combined Hour, 24 Hour Availability)

I seriously don't understand the time limits for demos but regardless I will be giving them a try.
My guess is they don't want people to get to far into the game and see certain super important things? Then again, if it's like RE2's demo where it'll automatically cut off regardless if you go too far, then I agree on the time limit being stupid. You could argue that they don't want you to be able to super analyze things in the demo but people can just make extra accounts for that purpose so idk.

Timed exclusives are some serious bullshit that's leaving a bad taste in my mouth. By the time PC demo comes around it'll already be May 2nd and by that point I might as well just wait for the actual game to come out. They've set it up so that only people for whom it's worth it to play the demo are playstation players.
Capcom needs to get rid of the time limits and make it available for everyone RIGHT NOW!

You can preload multiple demos if you have multiple regional accounts. So if you have a U.S and EU psn account you can play it twice 😊 the demos will be seperate files on your console. People in EU can play early with the American demo

Well we get to see Barry go live for 8hrs overall starting tomorrow Saturday 17th.
All that matters is: is there a bonus for playing the demo? If not, i might pass just because ill probably sit staring at the landscape and forget im being timed.
Well, if you can give up on the idea of playing it early then yes… but remember, you can always enjoy the game's nice graphics/landscapes for as long as you like when you have the actual released full game by then anyways. Why not enjoy as much as you can? You can still enjoy it fresh off the demo, and enjoy it again for finalized game.
Remember when I played RE3 Remake demo, Nemesis came out early amd gave me quite a shock to try to run away from it to get to the alley using te fire hose. When actual game released Nemesis's actual appearance came a bit after, still remember how cautious I was when trying to pass that area in front of doughnut shop, expecting Nemesis to show up (and actually didn't). The demo RARELY has the same gameplay sequences as the actual game, so playing demo does NOT wreck your actual game play experience at all.
You should only do what is best for you, playing something with such a limited time limit might annoy me if I'm enjoying myself and make the wait even worse or It could turn me on the game experience in general. For the direction they are going I'm just going to be watching someone else play as RE7 was a miserable experience as the person with the controller
Wait but are the demos just snippets of the full game or separate like the demo for RE7?
@@quantumwitcher9376 because its timed, im leaning on basically being part of the main game. Meaning if people are fast enough we could get a good portion of both areas seen before the game comes out
@@legosiw I think the timed demo for RE2 Remake works the same way? Most players are pretty familiar with the first 20 mins of the RE2R's RPD East/West section, though I don't quite remember anyone going any further than parking lot… (after spade key only?)

I don't know if I want to play the demo, maybe I'll wait to play the main game at my own pace and avoid spoilers.
They did this with re2. Didn't spoil much. Good way to get a feeling of the game. Just don't push forward much if worried.

Thank you for the break down - along with the helpfully update for the ps5- I’m going to be able to transfer my call of duty 180gb monster on to my external hard drive giving me enough room to enjoy the demos and the game - going to preorder after I play want to see if I should even think about upgrading my tv ( have a 2014 1080-4k the first 4k lol 😂 ) still looks amazing- but might hold off on a next gen tv till they start making next generation exclusive content - games etc - I’m a huge fan of RE this is gunna be great I got 2 shot( 30minutes each lol ) to s&$& my pants and run around shooting stuff just to get a werewolf to run a train on me and then throw in the water to deal with that huge thing on the map! ( definitely gunna make Neptune and the alligator from RE2 look like a lizard and a guppy lol -- if done right and I think it will - it’s safe to say-“ it’s scary to go around every corner “ just like in the old days 👏👏👏well done ✅!
had to wait till it was available to download at the store but it took awhile to download I had to be playing before 5am least i'm ready for castle this weekend

30 Min Village Demo - Sunday, April 18 at 4pm BST to Monday April 19 at 12am BST (PS4/5)
30 Min Castle Demo - Sunday, April 25 at 4pm BST to Monday April 26 at 12am BST (PS4/5)
60 Min demo - Sunday, May 2 at 1am BST to Monday, May 3 at 1am BST ( All Systems)
Looking forward to the demo but this whole thing seems like a convoluted gimmick

im trying to preload and i cant find it on steam
I've downloaded the village demo but it is shown count down of 1 week, why is that happening? I'm using it on PS4, why is there 1 week difference in different countries?
It locks after 8 hours. We missed the window.
Basically you can play the Castle demo this Sat 4/24, and you can only check out the Village portion that following Sat May 1st for an hour total, but the window for the demo will last 24 hours of access.
These restrictions they put on the Demo is a reason for me to not buy into the hype... and it doesn't even seem to have VR.

Honestly, i believe the PS VR was an abandoned cause by Sony (the hardware is way behind current tech specs --- the VR gameplay only has 30 fps back on RE7 and was BARELY acceptible --- I DID play it instead of normal non-VR mode simply due to the ability to aim by actual head turns instead of slow as hell analog stick aims…), and probably based on the number of people that can't deal with the motion sickness that may be caused by the low FPS performance, unless Sony deemed VR development actually going to make money (RE7 was one of the few games that had reasonable game time that uses VR --- FROM START TO FINISH), don't think they would develop PS VR2 just for PS5 (using PS4/Pro with VR for RE Village is like asking gamers to play RE Village on crippled video mode --- great on the submersive gameplay but hard on gamers eyes…).
I myself was a bit disappointed that right after RE7 there doesn't seem to be another RE game that uses PS VR set. My set is sitting inside my wardrobe somewhere (just the head gear, as it proves to be quite big a set to leave in my gaming system cabinet).
@@kennychan7104 first off, 30 fps? Nooooo, RE7 is locked 60fps with 120hz refresh. There were some early games on psvr that were terrible for motion sickness like here they lie but I still play RE7 on a base ps4, it works great.
Not only that but the improvements on RE engines VR optimization can be seen between the base games and the final dlc End of Zoe. There were already PSVR 1 play tests of village last summer. The RE engine is so amazingly scalable I have no doubt that village could run better than RE7 did. I just get the feeling sony made a deal with capcom to make it a PSVR 2 exclusive.

Video game voice actors pronounce things wrong all the time, just look at Persona. RE8 is set in Romania, Dimitrescu is a Romanian name, and real life Romanians are all saying that the way Ethan pronounces her name is incorrect
