I went to fleet week in NY 1976 for the bicentennial we were anchored next to the statue of Liberty for the fire works. We went pier side, on liberty in uniform walking around every bar we would get pulled into it and couldn't buy a drink. Best liberty I ever had in the 20 years. Thank you NY
I was a member of the CSTSC Precision Drill Team at Mare Island CA when I was in Navy 'A' School back in '86. Sadly I was transferred to VA for another school after only a couple months on the team.
