I hope you have enjoyed the video! The great thing about protecting the wheels is that it makes it a breeze to maintain them! After the initial chemical decontamination the wheels are practically clean, so only a mild foam and light agitation is required.
Maybe a small advise from an owner, when you wash a RR raise it into Off-Road height and then it’s easier to wash the wheel arches and all around that. Thumbs up from Germany
Great watching your videos, you are clearly good at what you do. I find it great learning about the products and tools that you use. I only wish you were closer to me as I would ask you to do my X5.
Good work mate. Can you tell me what extension that is you have got on your Kranzle, I have the same QR gun but just the stub nozzle and need a bit more reach cheers 👍🏻
Hi, what do you use or can be used to clean the tips of the Exhaust on this model/car. Also would recommend polishing them with metal polish or similar?
Hi mate, great video btw. i have a SVR, i am looking to get some clear film and/ceramic coating to protect the paintwork. I am based in Bradford is that something we can arrange?
Hi Asud, very nice! Have a look on my website and drop me a message and I’ll be more than happy to go through anything with you 👍🏼 www.harperscardetailing.co.uk
You mentioned using iron fallout remover after hand washing. Would this also be a good time to use tar remover as well? Or should these be done before hand washing?
Always use the iron and tar remover after washing the car. Unless you can feel or have visible tar spots I would try and avoid using a tar remover, as some can be quite aggressive so would deteriorate the coating faster.
You mentioned that if the hydrophobic properties of a ceramic coating seem to be gone then we should use an iron and fallout remover on the paint. Will the ceramic coating stand up to that product? I mean will that chemical not diminish the ceramic coating?
I would try a strong but safe shampoo such as Carpro reset. Carpro reset rinses very well so doesn’t leave anything behind. The fallout remover isn’t that harsh, as it’s just confusing on removing ferrous material. Even a tar remover can be used occasionally, but I imagine that will deteriorate the coating quicker. Korrosol is PH 5 so slightly acidic, which is similar to water spots removers, so a great cleaner
I haven’t used the Gwash. Are you using it at the recommended dilution? Might be worry upping the dose if you are wanting it more sudsy. Also, if you have hard water that can affect it 👍🏼
I much prefer the Korrosol, as the Wheel Cleaner is too viscous in my opinion. It also means I only need one product for wheels and paintwork decontamination instead of two
Can the korrosol be diluted? Bilt hamber products are generally expensive. I use the wheel cleaner by bilt hamber. I find it very expensive and can’t be diluted. It does do a great job
Strictly speaking neither can be diluted, but it does still work when diluted, but it just has less cleaning power. I would use a separate bottle to dilute some, as then you can have both a full strength and slightly weekend version
Agree. Also depends if the car is garaged. I have a client with a Maserati’s which has only done 4,000 miles in 6 years and kept in a garage, and the coating is as good as day 1, so really does depend. The coating will naturally deteriorate and instead of intense water beading, I would expect more sheeting, which is still a good sign of the coating.

Lovely job
Before applying a Decon on the wheels, clean it with a tire cleaner to break down any dirt and lose decon first then spray a decon
I usually spray a wheel cleaner, rinse, then decon, but wanted to show the colour changing effect of the iron remover 👍🏼
Hi what dryer/blower are you using? Looks pretty effective 👌

hi,i like the content you put up,what dilution rate do you use for the KKD,thanks
Hello, I use 200ml KKD in 5,000ml water, so roughly 1:25, or slightly stronger at 250ml so 1:20 👍🏼

Three questions: Excluding camera work time, how long does this take you? Is this your normal maintenance wash? How much did you earn?
Roughly 2 hours, and yes this is my normally maintenance wash however the inside is taken care of too.
Around £60-£70 depending on time taken.
What blow dryer do you use? Looks pretty powerful.
It’s a Metro Vac. It’s really powerful, despite it being 6 years old. The newer version might have even more power.
How much is a package like this?
Is your brother chef Jack ovens? Your voices are very similar lol.
Haha, I’m afraid not... although I am quite the chef in the kitchen.
What are those exposed wires at 5.06? That doesn’t look very good on a premium vehicle
Good point, I’m not too sure though in all honesty. Surely they will be sealed as it’s the most exposed part of the car 🤞🏼
Did you wash the car beside the one you were washing?
I did but didn’t film it. I washed it after this one.
What is your price range for a maintenance wash? Thanks
Around £55-£65 mark. The interior is done as well, I wouldn’t just do the outside 👍🏼

Id be a disapointed if the ceramic coating was breaking down after only been on for three months.
Agreed. It’s always nice going back to a client just to check that the protection is performing how it should 👍🏼
I’d say it very much depends on mileage, the season and the type of roads the vehicle has been driven on.
