The regular Rosso Iv did me very well on my 2020 Tuono v4, 2 track days and at least 1k canyon miles and it still had a little life. The grip was amazing for being a multi compound. Have Q5’s on it now and I’m very excited to try them on track.
Thanks for the feedback! I've been curious about the Q5s, but I'm also apprehensive to go back to Dunlops. I've grown very accustomed to the softer carcass of Pirellis.
Curious to see how this tire setup works out for you. I’m in the same boat with my SC 3’s. I purposely have gotten to the point where I try to avoid highways just so I don’t burn through the center of the rear lol. Guess I just need to commit to only doing track days lol.
They are track day tires after all 😅 I'll keep you posted as I put more miles on the Rosso IV! I also have a track day booked at the end of May and plan to take the Tuono, so will have an impression of their true performance then.
Hi Chad! Good to know that your Daytona is getting back in shape 👍. Regarding your premature wear out of the Tuono's Rear Tyre, could it also due to all those wheelie Wednesday's ? I found out that my Tuono's rear tyre is also flattening out quickly. I think its all that Torque, which eats up the centre patch of the rear. Cheers
Hey Satyen! She's coming along 😁 The way I choose to ride the bike definitely has an impact on tire life, but I don't think being gentle on those Supercorsas would make that much of a difference since they're so soft. Regardless, I still have a blast every time I ride the bike 🙂
Finally got my 2019 factory RSV4 . . . . UK is known for horrid weather but damn , its been raining everyday for 6 weeks & literally flooding everything , I dont track & the bike has come with new Pirelli Super Corsa's , not the most suitable tyre to get caught out in , looking for new tyres for sure
Yeah the Supercorsas don't do very well unless it's dry and at least a little warm out. A set of sport touring tires may be a good way to go if you plan to ride on roads mostly.
My bike , Triumph 765 RS 2022 came with the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V3 after 3500 kilometers 4 flats (rear) Bought a new set V3's , after 3000 kilometers another 3 flats (rear) . Now I bought Mitas Sport force+evo no flats anymore but the lifetime is the same !
The start ups and shifts never get old!! I’m getting my 2023 Tuono factory in soon & will have the super corsa sp v4’s on I think? (Correct me if I’m wrong but i think that’s standard) wondering if there’s a better tyre for fast street. Keep up the videos man :)
They sure don't! 😁 How exciting, congrats! Yes, it will come with Supercorsas, either the V3 or V4, not sure. The Supercorsa TDs work well when it's dry and heat up fairly quickly, but the trade off is definitely life for grip. If you're looking to get more than 2k miles out of a rear, these Rosso IV Corsas or even the standard Rosso IV should be a better compromise.
@@hiimchad Thanks man, really excited. Yeah I did a few read ups about it as being based in the UK its not very hot or dry most time.. I'm more in it for smiles over miles 😂Think the corsa's might have to be the ones, never had pirelli tyres before, my old tuono had power RS's which were perfect trying to find similar feels as they are hard to get sometimes! Thanks again keep the vids up!
@@JakeRides99 I got tuono factory 2019 and in the UK. Just got corsa rosso iv instead of tge SPs as research says rosso iv perfect for fast road and occasional track day where SP directed more for track days....look them up. Purchased mine from 'two tyres' brilliant price and fast delivery.......
@@jimfurik1042 Sounds great, Thankyou I’ll definitely check it out and use them will have to run down the supercorsas first but I’ll have a look at some videos about the Rosso 4’s, I’m assuming you mean the non corsa version
Have a question for you. Looking to upgrade to the rsv4 for track. Would you go with a 2017 factory with the forged wheels and Öhlins suspension or would you go with the 2023 non factory with the SACHS and the cast alloy wheels but 17 more bhp?
If you don’t mind having a bike out of warranty, I would go for the 17 Factory. 200 hp is already more than enough for me lol. Plus, that’s more power you have to manage on corner exit. Plus, it’s older so it will probably cost less and not hurt as much if it gets thrown down the road.
I’ve got a dorsoduro and when getting up near 3 figures it’s a struggle to hold on with the wind hitting your chest. Do you suffer in the same way on 1 of these? I’m looking to get 1 when the summer arrives to the uk
If you're sitting upright, you will still catch a lot of wind since the windscreen is more for style than function. If you really tuck down with your chin to the tank, it does help, but the wind resistance to my shoulders and arms is still pretty strong when I'm tucked on the straight at my usual racetrack, particularly over 120mph.
That startup is still music to my ears. :)
Mine too! 😁🎶
Virtual reality bro, bring it back

I'd like to try the rosso 3 /4 or the Michelin Power Cups - definitely gunning for these once the supercorsa is dead
Q5s are amazing put on my s1000r. Q5s profile is incredible
