Don’t worry yam. I still love you. Some people just don’t know how to be high class like you and me my sweet papa yam man. Keep up the good work and great idea on bringing car people into it. Smart ❤
I am a car guy that now has a bike AND a fun car. I love seeing the car guys come to the dark side to experience true fun, adrenaline and death defying acceleration. As well as feeling like a God (one no one really cares about) when they beat every car they lane filter next to at every light.
What are ya driving? I just got my Duke 390. And have a FBO 435i. And mk7 GTI. And the little 390 feels as fast as the 500hp BMW lol
I am a Miata driver looking at bikes for the first time and, without having seen this video, was instantly drawn to the neo-retro/modern classic/whatever you wanna call them. So you absolutely nailed me to the wall with this one.
I too came from a Miata (prepped with brakes, suspension and semi-R tyres), bought a Versys 650 because my daily was a mini MPV, couldn't stand the engine 😅
I'm now planted in the roadster category with a Triumph Street Triple S.
I place somewhere in between tuner and twisty road person I reckon.
Achem: Grom
I was a car guy for a long time and built a lot of custom muscle cars and tuners. I jumped in to the world of bikes with a Victory Jackpot, it looked great, was reasonably fast for a cruiser and handled like a wagon full of concrete. I loved it.
Wait did Yam just recommend and mention 4 Kawasaki motorcycles in one video??? Even the Ninja 650? I don't recognize this channel anymore
You're right. He's gay
We are getting to him...First the Busa, Next the H2 !
I'm definitely the practical cheap commuter guy but I still landed on the mt07 because hyper naked are beautiful and the mt07 is a god damn bargain for how fun it is.
I was beginning to miss vids like this, almost thought it was an old vid when it popped up. Nice to watch the Yammie once again
He socks. Let me guess. You just started ?
Your suggestion for the jdm guys is off base. If you're a z320 guy, sure MT07 is right for you, but if you're a Honda Prelude guy, overbuilt, underpowered, and no longer in production, you should get a one of those 400cc i4 from Honda. Why? BECAUSE IT FEELS AMAZING, AND HONDAS ARE THE MASTER RACE, *clears throat* I mean, masters of the raceway.
Also, for stock Miatas and s2000s, the phrase to remember is "smiles per gallon".
You read my mind, I've been wanting a video like this.
Love the dance at the end to Waslse of the Flowers. I’m going to go in my motorcycle garage and do the same dance. 🏍
solid! LOVE these vids
The Z6R is definitely a candidate for me. I came from the "car guy" world last year as a 31 yr old and love it, so this will be bike #2. Bike I got now is the Vulcan 650 that I've modified, exhaust foot controls, tuning and QS, cosmetics etc. It's fun in the twisties (my daily commute to work is through canyon roads) now... I still have my "tuner car" (FRS) that I'm turning into a dedicated track car (but still keeping street legal). Turbo'd and gutted making ~300whp @ ~2500lbs, nothing crazy atm but once I get the injectors installed that been sitting around forever I should be in the ballpark of ~400 on E85, and @2500 lbs should be satisfying for a bit. I been keeping an eye out on a sequential gearbox too. And a turbo for the Vulcan...
Got a CBR600RR I would highly recommend the ZX6R i have a couple buddies that own them and they're insanely good bikes. The inline 4 600's are all insanely fun, a lot of the time I'm just crusing around shifting gears and keeping the revs low, but they're so high revving and fun to wind out. Given ur commute I highly recommend any 600cc sportbike from the big 4 (although the ZX6R being the best in class and CBR600RR worst in class, found one at the right price and dont regret it though.)
@@James-xn8xe I heard they're quite comfy too, I'm old so that is def a plus lol
You really hit the nail right on the head for me! I love American muscle and I am currently looking at buying an Indian scout bobber.
1:49 LOL, Tom Scott does look and sound perpetually young.
My cousin Bill (William Quinn) was both - thus his involvement with Hot Rod, Road Test, Cycle Guide and Chopper Guide. So I kind ofgrew up liking both as well. - lol
Well ya nailed my bike category this time. 2017 Fiat 124 spider Abarth, owns a BMW RNineT /5.
I just got my endorsement a week ago, and I want to say thank you for all the great videos!
Ayyyyy he sent a shout out to Donut Media
Mo powah!
As a guy that owns an S2000, WRX, and Civic… I recently went out an bought an MT-07 and I’m oddly offended at how accurate this is 😂
You said something good about the Ninja 650 while kindoff insulting it, yet make me still want one, because I'm that exact kinda guy... this video has so many hidden layers to it.
I used to drive a civic SI and a harley sportster... Now I have a mustang gt and a mt09. For me, I wanted a comfy highway cruiser with power as a daily driving car, and a quick hooligan machine for the fun rides. Its about driving and riding preferences!
Yammie and list videos are more consistent than the global economy these days. Invest in Yam list videos now!
What's up with the subliminal peaches? 🍑
if you know you know
I sold my car to buy a couple bikes. I had a Jaguar XFR, an absolute monster of a super saloon. I replaced it with a Triumph Bonneville SE and a Yamaha Tracer 7. Neither is even close to as quick as the car but both are more fun.
Funnily enough this video comes out when I'm telling myself that as a car guy I won't able to ever afford a cool car so I was wondering about motorcycles. Nice timing. I don't know crap about bikes so this gave me an idea of what to look for
Remember don't start on bikes as big as most stated in this video you are better of starting with a 600cc or so
@@pumkin1319 Just like cars I will probably start driving whatever small bike I can afford after buying gear. The video is helpful on what I should aim for the second bike
I have a Honda Civic Sport. I'm leaning towards a Ninja 650. Am I really this predictable? 😮💨
Both my motorcycles found me just a friend who had a deal. Gasgas ec250 1999 and Kawi Vulcan en500 2006. Love em both.
2:45 QUÉBEC C'EST LE COEUR DU PAYS DU QUÉBEC
YAMMIE I have a jdm 1990 300ZX twin turbo, what bike should i get?
Ya nailed it, Papa Yam! I drive a Hyundai Elantra N Line. 1.6 liter Turbo that gets 40+ mpg, and ride a Ninja 650.
Most of those pairs I would say work but people should just try a bunch until they find what they like
You forgot the guy who refuse to shift and will buy a suzuki burgman
Great video 👍
luv ya yamm
Custom '84 V8 Fiero girl to custom '84 V4 Sabre girl... where's my representation Yammie?? 🤣🤣
Yes, I will get in on this. I just sold my 2016 Audi TTS in nano grey and to be fair I miss her very much. But my ADD demands something new and to be fair the monthly/maintenance cost was no longer worth the ride. I expect to get my license early next year. I am looking to get a Hasqvarna Svartpilen 701. Style and color wise I think it also makes a lot of sense!
I’m not a car guy, but I love the Van Kouture and I love bikes with the fat rear 240 tires. My favorite bike is the Suzuki Boulevard M109R B.O.S.S. and the Hayabusa with the fat rear tire. Any other suggestions of bikes?
Lol this is on point
You know this is a very accurate list. Especially the whole truck thing 😂 also, am
I hearing things, or did you actually just say the mustang was a big beefy muscle car? 7:34
What would you describe it as?
A little eco boost sports car with an undersized engine. They’ve had undersized engines since the very first one when they had the straight 6.
lol at the donut media callout.
I have a Bronco with Sasquatch package and a Supra, what bike did i get?
Ok, I feel attacked about the Indian bobber.... LOL... I too drive a 5th gen Camaro and a 2021 Scout Bobber, lol
As the owner to 2 5.0 mustangs (1989 & 2014) I love my fz09 exhibits the same aggressive attitude and squirrely behavior but I also have a (big bore 280cc kit) 06 crf250r and a 04 suzuki marauder 1600cc...disciplined in all aspects of riding...sadly after riding so many other bikes and owning those 3 every car just feels slow since ive gotten so used to my fz for the last 5 years
outstanding - perfect info tain ment flow
are they still making the crf450l?
Mt03 i want for solo and great fuel economy in the city it looks blue back looks cool too
Yammie I'm going to be getting my first bike soon like possibly this week. I'm wondering if I should just get it and ride in a empty parking lot. I don't have anyone that I can learn from so I guess I'm asking if just getting on it is the way I should go? Oh and should I go with the ninja 400 or 650. I was looking around and found the ninja 400 and I was told that I should get the 650. Any advice would be great and thanks in advance.
Getting my first bike this week too
When I say "legally suppose to", please note I'm not saying you MUST do something. I'm a guy that recently at work used air quotes when I said "speed limit" when talking about requirements as an example, and my coworkers burst out laughing pointing it out (didn't realize I had) and they were like "speed limit", like that's not even a real word for me, haha, kind of true... But I do suggest taking a course or finding someone to teach you so you can get licensed and learn with less worry if getting pulled over. Again either bike you'll have fun with, I'd just recommend the 400cc (if they were the same price like maybe someday both used, well then I'd pick the 650, but I wouldn't pay much more for it)
@@dominikhunter1324 best of luck friend.
Don't listen to yammie gay. Learn yourself and think the way you think.. I'd you have yo look to someone else for info you are just trying to play the part and not a true Mc head
@@jbroadbelt6 For the person that can't spell, researching and asking opinions from people that have knowledge is a good starting point. As I mentioned he should probably get a license or take a course first before even getting a bike (I don't think a dealership would let him test drive without a license, and you should always test drive before you buy). My advice is true for cars/airplanes/motorcycles/bicycles, really a lot of stuff. Its also a good idea to hear general feedback (you can take it with a grain of salt, but when a lot of people say Chinese bikes are junk, because they are, then its a good flag of where to really look into things like common issues. PS, I work on my Chinese bike about 100x more than my car, which is the infamous RX-8 with the Wankel rotary engine...). Learning and asking from others is not a bad idea, just keep in mind its opinions from random people on the internet and don't take it as gospel, but its a good start to learning WHY people decide the way they do.
The f'in background music 🤣😎
If you have an old mini van, just get a late 80s Goldwing or early 90s Honda PC800. Nothing fancy, but tons of comfort.
I drive a camaro ss and first wanted a scout bobber 😅 hit the nail on head with that ones especially the ftr
But now just want the xsr 700 is my choice soon
Interesting car to bike comparisons
A couple misses, but overall I agree.
Truck Guy's: The majority of "Truck Guys" in my region which ride are either Harley guys or pause to look at every one as it passes.
Jeep Guy's: This group begs for offroad adventuring, weekend camping and a total outdoor experience. For this reason, I would give the adventure bikes the nod as their best choice . To be clear, it would be difficult to carry everything you need for several days offroad/adventuring on a duel purpose bike, but the cargo capacity of an adventure bike would fit nicely.
American Muscle Guy's : once again, I would point them in the direction of a Harley or Indian.
If your into classic sporty european styled cars, Triumph has the market
Average Middle aged Male: most any standard UJM....
Tuner Guys: Mt07
Dreamer Guys: The guys which dream of an exotic car....purchase a Ducati...most any one that's not an adventure bike or a Diavel.
I would say the duel sport is better suited if you think you'll be off-road much. Jeep guys actually use their jeep a LOT more often for off-roading (even though they have terrible transmissions), if you actually want to go out and play for the day you'll have a much better time on a duel sport. Even if you add saddlebags, its still going to be much lighter, but for the most part day long trips you won't need a bunch of gear anyways and they should handle so much better (even my 250 duel sport is plenty heavy, I wouldn't want it even an ounce heavier). Only disadvantage is you're limited to slow speeds of 70 mph or slower, but I didn't get passed once today and did quite a few passes through town and the highway.
Love performance vehicles. So I have fun cars and a bike.
Close. I have a convertible Mustang and a Mini Cooper S. My bike of choice is a sport naked, Ducati Monster
I'm the very boring car guy who drives my 2019 Honda Civic, I regularly clean it myself, had it Ceramic Coated and even ogle at it from time to time even though it's probably one of the most boring cars ever made, would love to get a Lexus IS350 but just can't bring myself to sell my perfectly reliable Civic.. I decided to get into motorcycles and was genuinely looking for a bike that would be just as boring, reliable and slow as my Civic and I eventually chose the Honda CB500F, I already had one reserved at my nearest Honda Dealership and can't wait to finally have another Dork Mobile in my garage 🤣..
That’s hilarious man!😂 I drive a modern muscle car and my bike is a Indian scout. I guess it was just meant to be.😊
What does foot pound of torque means please
The Toyota camry guy would in reality go for a Versys 650
Lets be honest 😂
Or if its the V6 Camry/TRD Camry, perhaps the Fjr1300
Sweet you're back. Now will you please answer your shops customer service emails and phone?
🤔 YOUR COMMENTARY IS HILARIOUS! 😂
I bought and 883 sportster because I was impatient and couldn’t find a decent 1200. Really hoping to win that 1200 so I can sell my 883 and buy a sport bike haha
I like the donut media shoutout!
I had a Civic for 11 years, between 2008 & 2019 . . . . my next (4th) bike could be HONDA . . . . Monkey, CRF450RL, Hornet 755, Africa Twin, Rebel-1100, CBR RR-R Fireblade SP, Goldwing etc.
No Luck with Valkyrie Rune
As a Mazda 3 owner who wants a Miata, you somehow knew about my cb650r
Very close to calling my predictably. Mazda Miata and Ducati Hyperstada. Now tell us our future Yammie.
7:58- Ah it's going to be the versys, I can smell it from here
8:34 shoot, at least wasn't that far off, at lest it's the same engine.
Should have reccomended a bicycle for the ev dudes
True, an ebike would be fitting.
Jajajaja, I love my 2006 WRX, but when it won’t start, or it’s between mods I’ve got my R6 to get where I need to go
Sup with the peach bro?
It's a throwback sort of, when they'd do list videos and put different pictures of butts every time he says BUT.

There's a mid 2000s sport bike for every style of import car and it's driver.
I have a full sized pickup… and a ADV bike. I need to reevaluate the predictability of my life’s choices.
I'm the Miata guy. So prob that Yammy or Honda rebel. And ninja for track days
Ayyyeee, a video just for me!
Aww man, you forgot the Ford ranger guys
What if your s2000 has a fully modified ls with a big cam? What bike equals that….?😂
I have a 2020 Civic Si with a 2023 Honda CBR650R lol HondaBoy all day 🤣
I oddly feel like eating a peach after watching this video.
Civic driver with a Z650, yup.
Zx6r for sure!
Fully faired sv650s for a jdm car guy fs
You forgot the racing game fanboy car guy lol
Im a jdm car guy and bought a husky dual sport 🤷♂
U should have put Sutton x for electric guys 😂
Not gonna lie, I thought a long time is it even „worth“ to switch and now half a season (and ~2500 miles) later it’s really obvious YES IT IS.
Got my „A“ Drivers license (Germany) at 24 and bought a 2014 street triple R as my first bike, it’s a hand full but it’s also a great bike to grow in to💪🏼
Black ice little trees baby! That's what it's all about.. all around I think, Yamaha is still cooler than a dad bike(GS1250) sorry dads.. lol!
Why switch when you can be both
well, my fav car I have owned was a red 79 Datsun Fairlady. So i bought a 2021 ninja 400. Sold it a year later for my 08 Kawi Versys 650 and I love that sh*t bike. Same feels and if i ever find another red Fairlady damn my bank account I'm an adult and do what I want.
Dang it.. imma need one of each😢
