Even though he didn't win Jojo Ghazali is super impressive for a 17 year old.
Going to keep watching this young fighter over the next year to see his progression.
fantastic video bout jojo the phenom guy gabriel👍
thanks for the video gabe. ive been waiting for your breakdown on jojos fight. love it🙌
I get he wants to be Rodtang, but Rodtang is high IQ and eats shots when he decided to. If Johan meet someone who has higher power and accuracy, his chin is not gonna hold while Rodtang's chin will.
Rodtang exchanges power in a really superb way like "I bait you to hit me but make you hit me with 50% of the power in your shot; now the counter I give you back will be a 80-100% shot back"
I have noticed that also. He copied rodtangs aggression and emote tactics BUT not his defense, fight IQ, and adaptivity. While rodtang is aggressive and a power striker, he's actually closer in style to someone like senchai. He has great timing, adapted well to his opps tactics and habits, and does NOT just truck forward but can fight on the back foot and/while cutting angles. JoJo got alot to learn and improve Upton to already be where he's at such young age if he can make improvements to his fight style and IQ, we have ourselves a super star
@@Stahlvanten Yeah, Rodtang mentioned one time in an interview in Thai, that he only let the shot hits him if he think he's able to take "play around"(rough direct translate) with. Like he's not dumb. He also mentioned after split decision with Khalilov, he's starting to avoid eating shots more to not lose points.
@@drinkwater.10 Femeu style Rodtang is a literal nightmare.
@@EdwarkingOFitnesshe’s nothing like Sanchae lol , he’s Muay mat
Yet another example of experience beating youth. It's good that he gets this humbling early on. If he only ever gets wins at this age I can't imagine how he'll cope when he starts getting losses later in his career.
JOJO actually did very well this fight for his age, but Nguyen is no joke he's a Vietnamese veteran and legend
Ghazali was being too aggressive, his opponent definitely studied his previous fights, formed a plan and executed it perfectly. Props to the winner for putting the work in
I mean yeah he has 10 years of experience more than Johan
Humbling experience. Stay humble always, if you’re good, you’re good. Simple. If you’re a real Muay Thai practitioner, humility is number one🙏🏽
11:14 Olivier Coste is a dirty ref who does things to help the company favored fighter win. He was hoping that by threatening Nguyen with a yellow card for not standing still, he could leave himself open to be knocked out. Ive seen him do it many fights now and its always at the expense of the non-company fave. He did it recently in Thanh Le vs Tang Kai II.
Send footage of this and the other fight to One, see if Chartri responds. I bet he will seeing as he has a no BS approach to muay thai
They gotta protect their cash cow. It's a sad thing in many sports
what he did to thanh le vs tang kai was horrible refereeing. it was early in the first round and the fighters were still feeling and reading each other, yet this bs referee wanted them to just brawl just to please the crowd
Just some reminder he called Nhất, Nguyễn is his last name
@@SuperKendoman Chatri doesn’t care. If he cared he would tell Coste to stop interfering in matches to sway the action. He would let Herb Dean officiate all the matches. Stamp Fairtex vs Ham Seohee is another fight that ended early because of Coste being distracting and rushing certain fighters into getting ko’d.
I think the fight taking place in the octagon instead of a ring also helped Nguyen not being cornered. The high guard plus him circling to Jojo's right while being able to defend Jojo's right was a huge deal, also helped him avoiding Jojo's strong left hook to. The leg kicks by Nguyen helped slow Jojo too, great game plan by Nguyen's side.
Oktagon big stage can running round world battle IQ,,
@@cokacola368 I don't understand but preach brother
Nguyen is highly underrated fighter. His experience definitely show here.
JoJo and Nguyen's fight is a prime example that Experience and Battle IQ, when used efficiently, is a great counter even if your opponent has other advantages. Sure JoJo is a prodigy in Kickboxing/Muay Thai, but Nguyen has been fighting for quite longer than him and also has a good record for his age.
i saw the fight the day after because of time difference. I was rooting for JoJo but i think the decision was correct. Nguyen did a great job of counter attacking
Yeah it was clear as day. Ghazali has physical talent but his fight IQ needs a ton of work. You can't just walk guys down and throw haymakers at this level. Also, tapping yourself after getting tagged instead of countering is the dumbest thing you can do. Rodtang does it strategically after big obvious, uncounterable shots to demoralize. Ghazali needs new coaches FOR SURE.
@@clapdrix72his parents are his coaches lol
@@DontHateButDislike 🤦🏻♂️
@@clapdrix72 exactly
he is only 17, he has potential, Duy Nhat is a veteran, he has a lot of experience dealing with agressive fighters
I saw Nguyen giving some decent damage to the left leg of Ghazali in round one, which seemed to hinder Ghazali in the rest of the fight and making him quite emotional, too.
🎉🎉Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat is the world champion of Muay Thai, you can find more information on the internet
Nguyen was looking for that BIG counter right but was ducking so far and hard that he pulled himself out of position to actually land it.
This is the only fight I've seen from him but he definitely looked like he was feeling pressure to do well in this fight.
yeah, he want to win this fight to motivate the Vietnamese younging passion and practice Muay Thai and martial art more in general. Plus, he lost his previous fight with Denis Puric so he definitely feel pressure he need to win this fight.
Exactly what happened to Duy Nhat. He has a lot of pressure from many of the audiences in Vietnam.
this dude is very humble. He is impossible to hate really.
@@HoaTruong-km9rk JoJo and Nguyen are in the same weight class as Puric? I guess I didn't pay attention to the weight class Puric is in.
@@XSR_RUGGER Yupp, all these fighters are in flyweight
Love hearing your fight analysis, thank you.
To much celebration and "hit me harder" antics.
That kid nearly got a serious knee injury in this fight.
His knee is not seriously injured, I saw that he was fine when met by a sports reporter the day after the fight.
@@fauzinanisomeone had to carry him out of the octagon. He couldn't walk by himself.
Not sure why he was pitted againts a 5 times world champion. Nguyen is like a secret boss. He has only fought a few times in one.
Coach Varga back at it again with quality content, lemme grab my popcorn 🍿
when people acknowledge a shot its not cause it doesn't it hurt not bother them. Its usually buy time cause it hurt
defeated is when you can't get back in the ring... well, he lost but has a very long way to go and so much more to improve.
Even Rodtang looses too, it's part of the game. This young man has so much potential
Hi Gabriel. Johan's name is patronymic. Hence Ghazali is his father's name. You can refer to him as Johan or JoJo in the future. Nice that you featured this fight.
a much needed experience for the young fighter. as a fellow countrymen, i would love to see him soar to greater heights in the future.
I think this was the perfect fight for him actually, an opponent just outside of your skill level can help you grow a lot
edit: amazing fight, kid is a beast fr, looking forward to his future
Jojo still growing he is just a kid, and he needs more experience time will tell.
Sensei Varga! This is amazing commentary! Love it! From your Vietnamese Canadian fan 😊😊😊
Ghazali gameplan:
Step 1: Act tough and show the judges whenever you get tagged instead of countering
Step 2: throw haymakers
Step 3: throw more haymakers...
Kid needs new coaches.
Ngenyen: needs to run and avoid close range fight...let him get frustrated and then I hit and run
@@zulyusof4252 Yep, that was his gameplan and he executed it to near perfection. He set the blueprint on how to beat this kid so Ghazali needs to seriously reevaluate his tactics (and coaches).
He has a really old school style. I'm a fan. Thanks Gabe.
I don't care how tough you are you win some you lose some learn how to control your self and you will be better
JoJo fighting like a dumbass and getting humbled will be the litmus test for his career.
honestly acknowledging the shots was probably what made him lose the fight even if it looked on the guard him acknowledging it made it seem more valuable in the eyes of the judges then it actually was.
Yep. Also, he had opportunities to counter or at least respond to a lot of those but chose the "I'm a badass" sub-80 IQ, showboat move instead 🤦🏻♂️.
Respect for nguyen man, he's the experience. For Jojo tho, nice try bro..its a humbling loss for him and im sure he will bounce back stronger 🔥
I havent seen any real fights off him but lots of clips and i see that he is just a big brawler. i dont hate the dude but i been wanting to see him lose to someone that knows what he is doing and get can get past his crazy swinging and brawl moments, like i see Ngyuen has did and he handled it well which is why he won, because that Ghazalis weakness. I am not sure Ghazali can have a fight without keep on pushing forward and constantly swinging while pushing forward, all someone has to do is figure out how to counter Ghazali, a brawler
i kinda agree with this
I agree. This seemed like one of his less polished fights for sure. He usually has a few flashes of actually thinking and setting up offense but I didn't see any in this fight really.
I think he definitely has the capability physically but he needs to up his mental game. He seems humble enough but his age absolutely shows in his fighting style.
He's playing checkers out there. You can't just try to walk guys down and throw wild haymakers at this level. He needs to fire his entire coaching staff and bring in some tactical masters. I mean even going into the 3rd rou d you saw his coach telling him to throw his right cross. Like, really?? This isn't Power Slap.
i wanted to see him lose because he pisses me off with his constant talk about how old he is. Gazali simply cannot do an intervie/press conferene or post fight celebration without mentioning multiple times how old he is...
@@AdolfoMussolini-wx4yk I've only seen the clips from his interviews and they do all include him mentioning his age. His experience showed in this fight. No doubt he's a tough kid but you can't rely on that alone.
We like your comments on those fights a lot❤️
This kid will get knocked out if fights any of the other 17-18 year olds who have been tearing up the competition on Friday Fight. Kids like Ortikov or OnDash would destroy him
No he wouldent. 😂
@@teamcabling1775 go look at any of Ortikov and Ondash’s fights. They hit harder and are more technical. Johan just hits hard plays to the crowd. If he couldn’t catch Nguyen, there’s no way he catches the others.
Those guys are 22
Well he's young, there's still time to improve
@@DarkDoughnutsVids Ramadan Ondash is 17 years old. Aslamjon Ortikov just turned 21. Ramadan Ondash and Aslamjon Ortikov would destroy Johan.
Coach Varga, you are the man.
Johan is always looking for glory and the knockout, his entire game plan is to dominate and get the knockout. In everyone of his fights he could have lost on points if he hadn't achieved the knockout, this is not a very clever strategy, he is very young, so I blame his team more than I blame him
Ghazali already fought as a tiny boy in Max Muay Thai promotion at 14.
Jojo waste too much time and trying to copy Rodtang too much and eating unnecessary shot. Rodtang only eat unnecessary shots when he know he's winning on point
Excellenty commentary. There is but one remark that is that I had wished to at least to some degree be able to hear the actual footage.
I agree, I think Nguyen won. Jojo is a really good fighter, you can tell just watching him move around. So is Nguyen. But Nguyen is legit twice the kid's age, so he has to do like coach tells me to do, "fight like an old man". Can't stand in there and bang and gas out, got to be smart, pick your shots, and not take a bunch of heavy hits. Jojo did really well, but Nguyen definitely won. Can't get so emotional Jojo, it's draining away your energy and eats up your gas tank.
It was his 17 year old fight iq that done him dude didn't adjust
100%. He needs new coaches asap. He has a ton of physical talent but it's being wasted playing checkers out there. You can't just try to walk guys down and throw haymakers over and over at this level. I don't remember him chaining his hands and feet together one time. He's trying to follow the Rodtang blueprint but Rodtang actually has a super high fight IQ. And when you're losing on points the worst thing you can do is acknowledge you got tagged with the "that didn't hurt" thing - so avoidable.
True but no IQ worked for Marat all these years 💀
@@Idkchangethislater Tbh, Ghazali makes Marat look like Samart. He's not high IQ, but he's not low IQ either. He's also not that great.
Bro needs to be humbled
The longer the the fight, the longer those low kick will take it toll - kid play for big boom and the veteran play it tactically.
He gets humbled for being arrogant....
Be more humble next time.... Learn to respect others... 😊
Gotta lose to learn sometimes..
Looks to me like a DRAW..they should extent the bout to 1 more round to decide the winner of this important fight.
He is still young. Rodtang hand speed is faster got better defend and got more variety of punches.
Fun fact "Duy Nhat" means only one so its only fitting he fights in one championship
"Finally"? He's 17.
He's only a few years older than me. There's still hope for me.😄
the ref telling Nguyen to move forward was bullshit.
Cambodian kun khmer figther Kim Bora had won Nguyen before so his level not bad for ONE fc.
Kon komeer what it is?
amazing duy nhat
You can tell the ref has a crush on JoJo lol.
In all honesty, even after watching the fight the second time I still had this fight scored 2-1 for Jojo the round that Nguyen really gotten was the second round and the first round was Jojo and the third round was very close, but because of that jumping hammer fist knockdown of sorts I think Jojo took the last round too Gabriel, this fight breakdown was very useful because I also was a bit confused on why Nguyen won instead of Jojo, it was amazing to hear the opinion from a Professional Kickboxer like you Gabriel! 🥊🎉
good video gabriel but why do you keep calling him gonzaly hahaha
Kid's a savage..whoa
สะใจสุดยอด😊😊😊
"Ngyun" is pronounced "win"
No
yeah, Nguyen won that one.
Did I mention I hate this ref? lol
Me too he kinda annoys me he thinks people are there to watch him
? Olivier Coste one of the best refs in ONEFC.
Questionable aggression demand from him but if that is enough to make you hate him, well, I guess you got problems.
this kid wants to be Rodtang so bad
I wonder if its a One Championship standing operating procedure for their ref to force fighters to make an early finish (ko or submissions). If its true then all i can say is its not right. And this referee often pissed me. He's a nightmare third man. I prefer the humble mr H Dean.
It's like these guys don't know what an uppercut is.
get in there and show them
It's like you didn't see multiple uppercuts thrown in this fight.
Mr. Boxing Expert.
Hello..🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
Buakaw is truly the scariest opponent ever to walk down fighters
does anyone can help me why when they get down the opponent doesnt engage, usually the opponent will go hit the head if the others go down, right?
It's muay thai rules so no attacked grounded opponents

Bro thinks he's Holloway.
Kid takes way too many headshots.
Karma teach him a lesson he pronounced he will KO Nguyen
This youngsters has lots to learn about public appearances.
Nguyen its thebes
Nguyen too experience for a teenage tantrum
He's just 17y/o. Y'all acting like he held the title for 17 years 😂
He's got a lot to learn and this should humble him.
Taking a huge amount of damage as a 17 is outrageous
Jojo is just a temu rodtang
ga - za - li. not gon - za - li. i think this is a great thing for jo jo, bring him back down to reality a bit. if you just feed young phenoms fish in barrels it can be crippling when they finally face equal fighters.
He lost no doubt. Is good for him to lost because some fan when he wins then call Rodtong out even though he still far from Rodtang. Still long way to go
He has changed his style a little bit, I think he should stay with just boxing.
HAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! I Like to see young new school fighters and undefeated to see them defeated and get knock out! They think they are UNTOUCHABLE! He said he got his fighting license before he gets his drivers license! I will say THAT BEFORE HE TURNS 18 TO GET HIS DRIVERS LICENSE HE GOT HIS FIRST LOSS OF HIS CAREER NYAHAHAHAHAHA! I will now follow his career if he can react good in his first loss! Most undefeated fighters when they experience their first loss they retire or fight a few fights and if they lose again they retire quickly!
i'm glad you turned off the commentators, because they are very partisans.
Hahah I called it.I did not jump on the hype train.
I think he's just representing malaysia. There is no US flag there. It's more exotic to represent Malaysia.
The event was hosted in Bangkok, while ONE FC is from Singapore. Indeed, it must be very exotic to represent Malaysia in this part of the world xD

Well if you love stand up ,then Muay Thai fights is for you

The thing about an 18 year old kid is that they don't have real internal power. They can throw hard and kick hard and grapple, but they just haven't had time to develop that real connection to the ground, the thing that makes you heavy in your center. If I fought this kid it would look like that Eddie Hall fight 😂😂😅
I think you’re talking a whole crock of shit. There’s 18 year olds who have been training since toddlers, that’s plenty time to “connect to the ground” or whatever obscure euphemism you want to use…
Dude you would get murdered. This is pure delusion.
@@wtmusic515 It's a physiology thing, clearly you don't have much education in that department. Hormones matter, how long they have been in your system matters, and 18 year olds have not had the hormones long enough. We had an 18 year old state wrestling champ at one of the mma classes I enjoy going to and I manhandled him. You don't know what you are talking about.
@@wtmusic515 Also there is nothing obscure about connecting to the ground, everyone who has fought long enough understands this. Which leads me to believe you know f*ck all.
@@huwhitecavebeast1972 yes yes you sit with your strikes I know what you’re getting at but you literally cannot punch or kick hard if you don’t do that to some degree. It’s self explanatory which is why everyone liked my comment, and others are calling you stupid.
