One thing I came to realize with this election is that Americans can no longer say "This is not us." This absolutely is us. Those who didn't vote have just as much responsibility for the outcome of the election. I hate to admit/concede to losing this battle but I've had it with this country.Born and raised on baseball, mom's apple pie, was a boy scout, proudly served 8 years Marine Corps followed by 23 years of career federal service over four different agencies. Lucky for me that I have options; I'm retiring soon and activating my contingency plan in case this happened. I think it’s fair to say, many people voted for Joe and not Kamala.. They weighed their options between both Kamala and Trump and just saw Trump as the more viable candidate than Kamala.. It’s not that complicated…

One thing I came to realize with this election is that Americans can no longer say "This is not us." This absolutely is us. Those who didn't vote have just as much responsibility for the outcome of the election. Choosing not to decide is still a choice, and those who didn't vote have decided that they were fine with either candidate winning. A majority of America decided they were fine with Donald Trump as president and all that he brings with him to the White House.
