    A Hakka-Indonesian here.. I'm rather jealous to see how fellow Chinese-Malaysian celebrate CNY.. We've had the freedom to celebrate it after 30+ years of such prohibition.. But, it just doesn't feel the same like how you guys do it since you never have to face such difficulties.. :)

    Actually I was looking forward to hear some dialects spoken in the series but so far only little bit of Hakka being heard here in this episode

      @aerickwander to be fair, they are so used to speaking Mandarin there so it is rare for them to speak Hakka nowadays

      @ actually not really. Only the younger generations are speaking mandarin. For those older gen (40 years old and above) they still speaks dialects. As for myself I speak all the popular dialects in Sarawak and I will speak dialects to others too as long as I got the opportunity

    Chinese descendant Sarawakians are still non bumis, right? Do the bumis Sarawakian call the Chinese descendants "pendatang"?

      @@talk2stop nope.. We r just sarawakians.. We never call each others pendatang like peninsular malaysia.. The word pendatang is just propaganda of politic to divide us..

      Actually the largest race in Sarawak is Iban/Dayak Community but not Malay.

      @@phang5700 I was an ex Malaysian from Kuala Lumpur. I migrated because when I was 18 a Malay said to me "You orang Cina balek Cina" Even since then Malaysia is not my country. Today when anyone ask me. "I born in Malaysia> Malaysia to me is a maternity ward as far as I am concern."
