The lifts are definitely used to help lifts residents from their beds in Nursing homes or patients in hospitals. I used one many times when I worked in a Nursing home for 12yrs
A hoist.
And you can use them in your OWN home.
The strap on the "Bruno" is how it lifts a scooter or wheel chair. It is inside the tubes that are inside each other. Check out any video for Bruno lifts.
Hey that wheel chair lift would work great as a hoist for the back of your truck for picking up the heavy stuff into your truck

9:22 Yes. You could make a hoist to help load heavy scrap into the bed of your truck. Mobility scooter hoists, look for data labels for their lifting capabilities. Or look up model numbers for their specifications. 14:00 Patient lifts for picking people up in beds to change linens or move to another bed or put in a leak tight enclosure...😮

Those old vaccum cleaners had the llooonnngest cords😅. Mike mount those LED strips to Betty's bed wings and light up your truck bed.😊
Those nice plastic tubes would be great for someone who has hamsters or hedgehogs to play in...could make someabsolutely amazing mazes with those!

Mike at 14:15 is another Newer type Hoyer lift, for transferring patients from bed to wheelchair, into/ out of the bathtub, car, etc. Those lifts can hold some pretty good weight, though like all things it does have a wt. limit!!! This can also be used to lift heavy objects, the base, or feet are opened to ground and stabilize it, preventing it from flipping and severely hurting the patient ( or object😉) there should be a lever next to the post or automatic remote that opens the legs(base).
Us in medical field know that is a Hoyer lift ! Had to use those several times getting patients in/out bed !

file cabinets usually sell quick ...people like them for garage tool storage.....also semi rims make nice little fire pits they are usually easy to sell for way more than scrap value

At 11:15 that looks like a warming oven for blankets for use in hospitals. At 14:30 those look like apparatus to lift people in and out of the bath in old age homes. ♥️♥️♥️🇨🇦

The midline loft equipment I believe is a broke down Hoyer lift. It’s used to move people who are bed bound. You nailed it Mike!

Test the lift you found. If it works, adapt it to your truck for heavy scrap.

Those things from the mobility people are wheelchair lifts. Typically they lift up your chair and put it in the bed of your truck

At 14:30 those are Hoyer Lifts. They are used to lift people in and out of bed, in and out of wheelchairs etc. Love ya Mike!! As always a great video and some laughs! God bless!❤
The lifts you found are Hoyer lifts. Used to assist mobility challenged individuals for things like getting in/out of bed. Used a lot in home healthcare and facilities because it doesn't require as many hands to lift someone.
I love it when Mike takes out the camera microphone. An it has to readjust ... this video was great.
