Galloway Red Kite Trail in Scotland

- In Dumfries and Galloway it was quite a cloudy day but the weather brightened up in the afternoon to go to Bellymack Hill Farm to see the Red Kites being fed. They were quite a long way off from the viewing area and very, very quick as they swooped down to the feeding table. Although I had no tripod, I hope you like my video and see how fascinating it was to see these Red Kites. Suitable for Children and Family viewing

Wonderful to see so very many majestic Red Kites together. Really well filmed, and reminds me I should head up to Gigrin Farm to see the kites there.

I used to go to Gigrin once a year, but I think I've only been once since starting digital photography, and never since doing video. Do, however, see the occasional kite over Gower and even Swansea. Time for a re-visit to Gigrin! Best, Jeremy.
+BadgerBotherer1 A few year back, a gardener pointed out some Red Kites overhead in the grounds of Gibside Estate, near Gateshead. I tried to get a shot of them but they were too high up and very fast but lovely to see, so you can imagine how much I loved the chance to see them at the feeding station. You will have to go to Gigrin and come back with some good shots. All the best, Julie.

The baby swans are so cute with their furry feathers :-) The Red Kites feeding is lively. These birds are so pretty and look like a mini version of hawks. Enjoyed your video every time dear Julie.
It was just by chance we came across the Swan while looking for the turn off to the Red Kite Farm. It was wonderful as it was just a row of chairs outside the farm and we only paid 50 pence to watch the Red Kites collect on the trees and then getting fed by one of the farm ladies. The farm is one of the two or three places in Scotland that help these birds and now they are returning to the UK after being almost extinct. I would love to go back. The feeding station I took this video at was at "The Red Kite Feeding Station, Bellymack Hill Farm, Laurieston, Dumfriesshire." If you put that address in Google Earth it will show it as the SatNav given is incorrect.... Hope this is the information you want but thank you for viewing. Warm regards.
