    Superb, thanks for posting. In Serbia were I live in a rural area, I enjoy watching the Buzzards and smaller hawks.

    That Red Kite is magnificent. I'm lucky enough to have a spot where I can go to watch them flying and playing in the air and it's amazing to watch.
    The sheer size of the kite compared to the Buzzard and Crows too :O

    Have both here on the North Downs - seem to get on well. Often see both in thermals. Wonderful filming

    Wow that red kite flying in and getting involved was a twist I didn't expect.

      i think the larger one that flew in was a buzzard

      @@fluffykitties9020 Nope, definitely the other way round. We have both where I live, and I see them often. Common buzzards are brown on top, white/speckled underneath and have rather short round wings and round tails. Red kites are typically a little larger, have blue-white heads, orange bodies, very long slatey wings (with a white patch underneath), and forked tails.

      @@fluffykitties9020 I'm not sure if you're American, but I know in America, they call a type of vulture "buzzards", so maybe that's why you're confused? The one being mobbed by the crows is a Common Buzzard (Buteo Buteo), which is a kind of hawk.

      @@tfrtrouble no, i'm not in usa. but i believe the largest one is not a kite. the mid sized one they are all picking on i think is the kite, no? look at the pattern on the large birds back of wings and compare to photos of common buzzard in an image search.

    Those are ravens. Crows are much smaller than a buzzard and have a straight tail and less pronounced fingers.

    Why would the kite attack the buzzard?

    • @rookbirdblues
      @rookbirdblues 7 дней назад

      Kites see other birds of prey like kestrels and buzzards as competition for resources in their territory and so will kill them if given the opportunity.

  • @raphlvlogs271

      Buzzards are known to take young crow/jackdaw and these crows are doing just what they should be. Protect their territory. Red Kite just saw an opportunity. Great video!

      @@Sarulinecka by "take young crow" do you mean baby crows from their nest?

    • @Sarulinecka

      @@fluffykitties9020 Buzzards predate on Corvids. Crows are more tolerant of red kites however crows will protect their territories from whomever. They will try to 'escort' any intruder. I love corvids and birds of prey.
