OMG!!! Thank you for this review. All I needed was someone to verify the base magnet will allow it to be mounted to ferrous metal because that would be a deal breaker for me and this light isn't cheap. I guess everyone else just assumed I'd magically know the magnetic base ring on this flashlight was a charging port AS WELL AS being a magnetic mounting point (FWI, I've never heard of Olight before). I wish I would saw your video first :-( Milk test... Thanks? And I agree that it should be included in every flashlight test... You're lucky man... FYI, I made sure to use your Amazon link because you're the only person that gave me the specific information I needed. Thanks again.
I love Olight flashlights but after looking at the specs I will stick with my S1A Baton. It can use 14600 lithium batteries OR regular old AA batteries (with reduced top output and battery life). Is has a max output of 600 lumens (plenty for just about anything) and in general has better battery life than the S1R series. Anyway, thanks for the review and keep up the great work!
I use a Gerber Cortex as my EDC but I been wanting this o light model for micro edc, what happens if I use 123 Batteries in this or would it work at all because of its battery type already?
my 1st and last baton died with no reasons, after 2months of very very moderate usage and no abuse like drop or water. since then i bought Many flashlights, none Olight. nice review, but that company is trash for me. i also adviced friends not to buy Olight but trustfull brands like ledlenser, nitecore, jetbeam or manker.
Didn't plan on buying a new light today... Order placed! Thanks for the review!
Ordered one during their Flash Sale, can’t wait to get it in the mail.

Thanks, Dan. Glad to hear that you found this vid useful. Enjoy the new light. I still carry mine just about every day.
Good point about the clip being opposite the button. Thanks for the review Sintax!
I have to admit, after I got mine I stopped using all of my other ones. This thing is near perfect. Thank you!
Thank you pointing out the issue regarding "10c". I was not aware of that!!!
Well looks like I'm spending money today I hadn't planned on...lol

I agree. The ability to take alkaline AA's in an emergency is a big plus with me.
Using water bottles to explain the C rating was perfect 👌
Very Good Review!👍 Nice lightweight, bright, and rechargeable flashlight. I thought that you did a review for a mini flashlight something like this.
Yep, I have the S1 mini as well. Similar, but doesn't have the charging base, so it's a bit shorter. Max lumen 600
Glad I found your channel 👍. Great reviews!
If you test everything with your wife drinking a glass of milk I will subscribe and watch every video. Best testing method EVER!!!
Is it possible to use a normal CR123A in place of the rechargeable?
As l understand it, the answer is yes. But you will lose the Turbo function. 🤔

Does the battery indicator light flash when attempting to operate while locked out?
Excellent review. Thanks.
Good battery explanation!
The milk drinking was too funny 😂 I’ll subscribe for that one. Lol
Missed the discount but ordered mine anyway!
Cheers Mate!
I like my rechargeable light olight. Clips on my ballcap for night hiking too.
I love doing that with mine as well. The reversible clip makes it super easy to throw on in a pinch.
The recharging battery is nice since I can toss it on the battery pack I lug around anyway. Without having to carry extra batteries.
Is the clip removable?
Yes
Use this or just a review?
Like something better?
Why is it so small
My big clumsy hands would be dropping that constantly
Also being so small it would only be a matter of time before I lost it 😂

We need a senate hearing to find out exactly how many flashlights Sintax owns......
has anyone tried to clip it to their hat bill
Yes, I do that. The reversible clip works perfectly for that.
@@sintax77 cool man thanks
I used an S1A this summer on an early morning hike in RMNP and it worked great clipped to the bill of my hat.
Bummer, no special for non US shipping.
Oh boy, yet another proprietary charging cable to lose! There goes your base weight.
