I’ve been trying for years trying to work with my soft palette issues but these all work so well I could cry! 😭 Due to my own personal trauma, despite working on my technique for years, I still have issues letting my voice out even with speaking and singing and addressing this has helped considerably to get beyond the “block”! Can’t thank you enough! 😭💕💗
How can you keep the soft pallet lifted through the song phases because sometimes it feels like it lifts at the beginning and feels like it drops during/in the middle of the phrase especially if you are having a lot of consonants on the phrase...?
It’s not just you! It’s something every opera singer struggles with. I personally try not to alter the shape of my mouth so much even as I’m changing the words. It helps if you practice going from ah (low) eh, ee (high) keeping the sound consistent (it’s hard!) I try to keep my cheeks narrow instead of wide too

Your answer will be accepted as an approximation not as an iron clad definitive answer so please don't worry about that . I have been following your advice on exercises for raising the soft palate for the last 2 weeks without achieving even the slightest twitch of the soft palate , so please do comment on this aspect of how long does it take to learn raising and lowering the soft palate . Hey there I have an issue with my support When ever I engage my abs to sing, my vocal folds and neck muscles tightens and I don't know why (it's almost automatic) Any suggestions to have support and engage my abs while relaxing my vocal folds and neck
It’s hard, it’s a constant practice but once your body gets the muscle memory down that’ll go away. I actually find that walking and singing helps because I’m not so in my head. Squatting and singing does the trick too since you’re moving tension to your bottom half and not the top

Have you a video dedicated to Tuck Forward? So the soft palate is forward not the typical yawn method that darkens the tone.
