    What other tips would you give to new climbers?

    I am a brand new baby climber with the goal of being strong enough and experienced enough to go outdoor climbing with my son when I go to visit him. This was very helpful and I'm sure I'll watch it many more times. Thank you.

      You're welcome! I wouldnt be so worried about it! I am very athletic and I was nervous the first time I went too. I think we all experience that because it is so new! Dont worry though, the gym will have climbs there that are made for the first time beginner. You will find climbs that are perfect for you and have a blast doing it!
      Let go of the "what ifs" and just go try it out! Easier to get started than you think. You'll be glad you did!

    Not sure if you remember but we met at Old Mountain Field skatepark in RI last year. I want to get into top rope so i searched for a tutorial. I watched about half the video before realizing we met before. Weird how things come full circle. Anyways, thanks for the tutorial. Keep up the great work.

    Regarding the double carabiners at the auto belay station, you're saying "make sure they face the same direction". I thought the whole idea was to have them in different directions for safety?

    • @XSProgression
      @XSProgression  Год назад +2

      Totally understand your thought process with that. For the gym in this video, those clips would butterfly in a way that they didn't recommend. I would just double check what the gym you go to suggests

    Question, why do people brush off the old chalk from the holes? You are gonna use chalk anyway... If doesn't make sence to me

    • @XSProgression
      @XSProgression  9 месяцев назад +4

      Good question! The holds start to get all caked up from chalk build up, which actually makes them more slippery. People brush the old chalk off so the hold has better grip

    What’s a good kid’s harness? I have 10 year olds.

    • @XSProgression
      @XSProgression  11 месяцев назад

      The harnesses I recommended in the description are great, just make sure to pick the right size for them! Probably small, but just double check for yourself based on their actual sizes
