the shortcut for United is if you get Marriott Titanium, you get automatic United Silver. There was also a Bilt promo months ago where they were giving out United Silver status just for downloading the app. Hopefully they bring that promo back again!
I think your videos and your podcasts are awesome. However- spend 5k at Marriott to get free breakfast seems insane. Do you have a cutoff price for whether you use points or pay cash for a stay?
Thanks! For points vs. cash at Marriotts, I try to get at least 1 cent per point. Awayz is a handy tool as well that will calculate for you whether to use cash or points at a given hotel property. With Titanium, the free breakfasts come in handy since there's usually 2 of us traveling. I also got 10 suite upgrade certificates in the process, 75% bonus points, complimentary United Silver status (I now realize I shou'dve included that in the video), plus a dedicated elite support chat line (they help me get even better upgrades too). It's also worth noting -- most of my hotel stays are businesses expenses, so the $5K math is a little bit different for me vs. someone who just travels for leisure. Titanium can be had for a lot less than $5K, especially if you're staying at hotels in low-cost areas like Mexico, SE Asia, or smaller US towns. We had a recent podcast episode featuring @insearchoftraveler where she lives in Marriotts year round and her total budget (housing, food, travel, etc.) is $30K per year.
@@geobreezetravel thanks for the info! I will read the it later. I still don’t think I’d spend that much. I travel a fair amount but not as much as you. I have a ritz card so I think gold status. I got it primarily for the travel protection and lounge.
Are there any ways to fast track and jam in more points fast to still qualify for Alaska gold 75? I am short mileage. Any promos? I think the standard earning is simply 1 qualifying mile her flight mile taken. Super hard. Super tips??? Thanks
the Alaska shopping portal might help here. We also cover some tips in the podcast episode below, though that's largely going to be with actual flying: ruclips.net/video/1Vrbcc6jFWc/видео.html
Me personally? I read a lot of points blogs and hire help to find even more deals for me to post about. For you? Follow me on Instagram @geobreezetravel -- I post a lot of them in my stories!
Would love to see one for United Airlines

I have 60 nights so far with Marriott. I need 15 more to hit titanium, what would be the easiest way to do it?
do you already have both the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant and Business cards? I think those automatic elite nights would be the easiest way.
I just hit my lifetime status platinum with Marriott last year for the 600
congratulations!! which Marriotts have been your favorite?
