I usually never comment under any videos but trust me when I tell you I love your videos and especially your spirit, just know it’s coming from the heart 🙌🏽
As for the bun you liked, that is common to several Asian cultures. In China, that would be a BBQ pork bao. In Hawaiian food, it would be mauna pua. They are very easy to find and most of them taste somewhat similar (slight differences between types.) You can even find them in Safeway or Winco in the deli some places.
Brother, you are an amazing foodie. You DIG IN literally and not just taste it. You ENJOY the food in so many ways. The beef wanton noodles are actually eaten with the siopao in the Philippines. They go together and you got it right bro! Keep it up!👌
Is it really your first time trying this? You did it like a pro, man. You did it like a true Filipino (without anyone telling you) using the sauce and broth with everything and would take pancit, rice and the meat in one bite. The beans in halo halo is cooked in caramel (sugar) and the "gummy bear" is Nata de coco and Kaong which is made from palm / coconut.
I’ve watched a looooot of Filipino mukbangs and I just wanna say thank you for actually reading about the food! Not many people take the time to read a little and just end up judging the food without any knowledge. Lots of people get thrown off by some of the ingredients in halo halo which is what I was worried this time but you actually took the time to read so thank you! 🤎
Your reactions are so funny! You should know by now filipino food never disappoints. Halo halo means mix mix so definitely mix it up! Jollibee also has halo halo but homemade is always best! You can make it yourself. Just shop for the ingredients at your local Asian/Filipino store. Glad you enjoyed our food!! Other good Filipino desserts are: 1. Turon 2. Leche flan 4. Sapin sapin 5. Mais con yelo 6. Puto 7. Carioca
It doesn't translate to mix mix! In the Filipino language repeated words changes meaning. 2nd the original spelling is with a "U" For example Salo is Catch but Salu-salo does not mean Catch-catch, it is Gathering. Halo is mix but Halu-halo is NOT MIX-MIX, Halu-halo means Assorted, referring to the ingredients

Buchi is like mochi. That's the simple explanation for buchi as both utilize rice flour in its prep work hence its texture. Also, with the American menu vs. the Filipino menu, we don't have the bbq pork on our side and with our lauriat menus, it's served with egg fried rice instead of just plain rice. Ohhh and the only thing missing from your lauriat order would be the crackers on the side but your American menu portions vs. ours is on a whole different scale. By the way as always love the content, I believe Filipino cuisine is slept on alot especially for people who have never had it but with your content it helps bring people to try out for cuisine and after watching all your videos, you sir are definitely invited to a Filipino cookout
Love your reactions to our Filipino cuisines, and the fact that you research before hand on the important historical data for each restaurant is something I don't see other youtubers do. Keep it up!
Halo halo is literally my favorite Filipino dessert. I feel like most people that try It for the first time are turned off by the beans, but I feel like as a whole the treat is straight up delicious 😋
That wanton soup from Chowking is one of the go-to fast food comfort food here in the Philippines. I hope you can try the beef chao fan fried rice from them next time because that is also another go-to fast food comfort food.
Wow, everything looks delicious. No Chow King's here in Midville USA (not surprising 😒), but maybe I can find a regular Filipino restaurant. Great video!

Hi KingSchratz. I hope you're doing okay. Chowking is one of my favorite Filipino fastfood chains apart from Jollibee and Mang Inasal and even Greenwich (pizza chain). In terms of my favorite menu items, it has to be the fried rice, buchi (the round thing), the crispy things that go with every meal (can't remember what it's called), the meaty asado siopao, and even their wonton soup tastes real good. I feel like Mang Inasal is definitely a must try for you, if ever you want to visit the Philippines. I'm honestly quite a big fan of your food reviews. You're very honest and transparent, which I find rare. Anyway, I'm wishing you all the best in life.
Filipino snacks are bombbb and there's a wide variety. Even the fruit drinks in a can and ice cream flavors are good! They're easy to find at the Asian market too
Your vids are always so entertaining. That’s it. You’re an honorary Filipino now. You def eat as passionately as a native Filipino and pairing all the right items together. Siopao is def paired with the soup. Love how intuitively you eat. Next time you have lumpia, try dipping it in vinegar mixed with cut up fresh garlic, little chili peppers and a little bit of salt. It will change your life!!! It’s kind of a go-to dipping sauce for practically every Filipino dish. Especially things that are fried or roasted like lechon (roast pork) or crispy pata. 🤤
I've watched a lot of mukbangs or shows of the same type. As a Filipino, I like how you're pretty informed about what you eat, and keeping it real at the same time. Time and time again, I can tell that your channel will be big. At least usually those I can judge to be good, usually gets big or becomes successful on this kind of venture.

Siopao is really from chinese sio (hot) pao (bun). Chinese influence in many aspects of Filipino culture is significant as we have been trading partners since pre-colonial times. The oldest China town outside of China is in Binondo, Phils. Group of companies: Jollibee, Chowking, Red Ribbon, Mang Inasal and Greenwich Pizza.
@kingschratz I tried this today at the Carson California location. I ordered the Orange Chicken Entree. I also ordered the steamed bun and Lumpia Shanghai. The bun and Lumpia was great. The noodles had a lot of flavor. The sweet and sour was just okay. I would recommend it for anyone who wants something different. The Fried Chicken was on point. I was happy with my visit.

Originally, here in PH the brown thing in the middle of the buchi is made out of mung beans. Other variations have been made too, like ube for one. Try the chao fan next time if they serve it there :) You did the right thing of mixing the halo-halo because that’s how it should be done before eating it haha 👍
The little "wow" with the sweet and sour pork got me. Hahahaha. I watched your Jollibee videos. I'm so glad you tried Chowking too. 🇵🇭 Not a fan of the lumpias of both Jollibee and Chowking. They have that mystery meat taste. However, the real homemade Filipino lumpia is fire with either sweet and sour sauce or vinegar with lots of mashed chillies, onions, and garlic.
As a new fan, you are my favorite food vlogger. Your commentaries are so on point sincere and entertaining. Noticed you’re a soccer (football) fan too. I’m a retired soccer mom and love that you’re into the world’s beautiful game. Oh and I’m a Fil Am too from CA. Thanks for showcasing our food. Keep up the great work.
Hey brother, just a tip for the siopao, it's best if you poke a hole in it first, and then put the sauce in through that little poked hole. Give it a try and lmk what you think!
This morning I saw your video. After searching online I discovered that there’s one location near my house (less than a mile away). I tried the Beef Wonton Noodle soup and man that was delicious. The only complain is that for $8 I was a expecting a little more noodles. The Halo Halo was mind blowing, super delicious shaved ice.
For more of a introduction in to Filipino food id suggest food like Bicol express (pork stewed in coconut milk, chilies, and shrimp paste), Kaldereta (beef stewed in tomato sauce with liver spread), and Sinigang(pork soup stewed with tamarind base and vegetables).
Man, you are getting accustomed to our palate. Filipino food is highly underated. Thank you for everything that you do, you are promoting our cuisine and it will open lots of opportunities in the future
Coz they're under 1 company, just like Greenwich pizza, Mang Inasal and Red Ribbon. They're technically sisters. And Jollibee will acquire more fast food and restaurants in the future.

God Bless bro.. your videos are🔥 🙏🏽🤙🏽✌🏽👌🏽👊🏽
Butchi is the chinese version of the japanese mochi dessert that's also made with glutinous rice. The filling is traditionally made with a sweet lotus root paste in chinese restos but the red bean paste is a good alternative. And broth in the noodles is always made fresh daily, i knew someone before who's a mngr in chowking.

You really need to try Tropical Hut in Maywood. They used to be in Hackensack behind Target on Main St by B&W Bakery. They have a few other locations too, but Maywood is the closest.
1st one is called Sho-Paw and it's bola bola. its a big meat ball with salted egg and a chorizo. the sauce is a asado sauce which is basically soy sauce sugar, salt and pepper then cornstarch.to make it a bit thick. the asado siopao is straight meat
Good palate! Buchi definitely has red bean paste or mung bean paste in it. The inside is chewy coz it’s made of mochi. Love how you’re loving Filipino food! 😊
I searched “Chow King” on “Maps” and it’s 12 hours and some change away from me in Alabama. However, there are 3 Jolibee I can travel to on the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs!
You said there's one in Washington DC nd I got so excited, looked it up and it's in Washington state 😭😭😭 so blown lmao this looks great gotta hit it up next time I go to NYC area
Halo halo literally means mix-mix so it's a must to mix all the stuff together before you eat it but it's also good to eat and dissect each ingredient to taste each one. That gummy bear like jelly dice is called nata de coco.

Not a fan of the lumpias of both Jollibee and Chowking.
The way you describe the food in detail I can actually taste it man you're good 🤤🤤🤤🤗🥰👍
Your descriptions are accurate and intelligent and detailed. Love it. You're spot on with how everything tastes like.
Hey brother, just a tip for the siopao, it's best if you poke a hole in it first, and then put the sauce in through that little poked hole. Give it a try and lmk what you think!
He had me dying at "that's oddly refreshing" 🤣
This morning I saw your video. After searching online I discovered that there’s one location near my house (less than a mile away). I tried the Beef Wonton Noodle soup and man that was delicious. The only complain is that for $8 I was a expecting a little more noodles. The Halo Halo was mind blowing, super delicious shaved ice.
Chowking tends to be more expensive than a lot of fast food chains
HAHAHA the soup on RICE is very filipino LMAO. Glad you loved it man. Keep it up!
bro man i love how you love Filipino food. this makes me happy my man! you should try the Filipino chain pastry shop "Red Ribbon Bakeshop"
My boi is back on tha grind 💪🏽💯
For more of a introduction in to Filipino food id suggest food like Bicol express (pork stewed in coconut milk, chilies, and shrimp paste), Kaldereta (beef stewed in tomato sauce with liver spread), and Sinigang(pork soup stewed with tamarind base and vegetables).
manifesting him coming to the Philippines and trying those dishes omg💖💖💖
So glad I found your channel! Very entertaining! Love your comments
Man, you are getting accustomed to our palate. Filipino food is highly underated. Thank you for everything that you do, you are promoting our cuisine and it will open lots of opportunities in the future
26:56 YES HE MIXED IT! wooooo that's what i've been waiting for!
I’m half Filipino and half Chinese and I love your energy man. Keep it up! Great reviews
The meat filled buns are the bomb. We call them shoe-pow (pronounced) in the Philippines. I love the sesame seed balls. Yummmmm
Omg! I had no idea ChowKing was a chain. We have one of those down the street. The siopao hits!
Diffy!
Ngl, you summed up chowking the most accurate way possible. Jollibee’s sister restaurant.
Binge watching your videos! You are insanely a vibe. Cant stop watching!
Ive never considered chow king to be jollibee’s sister but am glad to see you trying more Filipino food hehe
Coz they're under 1 company, just like Greenwich pizza, Mang Inasal and Red Ribbon. They're technically sisters. And Jollibee will acquire more fast food and restaurants in the future.
It's nice to watch how you are trying to understand Filipino palate 😍
the wonton soup looks a little different 🤤
Thanks for this! These are the foods I’ve been missing🤤 here in abroad. Can’t wait to head back home…
oh yeeah bro! was waiting for this video whole weekend🔥🙏🏽.I thought u did me wrong or forgot😅 well its 12am here, when u posted this video.. i'll sacrifice my sleep to watch this though!
much appreciated that you took the time to try it.
it's been a while since i tried Chow King and Jollibee.. so just watchin you enjoy the food makes me satisfied..
i dont know if the ChowKing in the US have the same options like in the philippines.. but i heard their Beef Sisig is buzzin..
if you want to try more of filipino food.. theres another filipino dining resto chain in Jersey City called "Max's" and a filipino bakery called "Red Ribbon".. unsure about the address..
God Bless bro.. your videos are🔥
🙏🏽🤙🏽✌🏽👌🏽👊🏽
Butchi is the chinese version of the japanese mochi dessert that's also made with glutinous rice. The filling is traditionally made with a sweet lotus root paste in chinese restos but the red bean paste is a good alternative. And broth in the noodles is always made fresh daily, i knew someone before who's a mngr in chowking.
The algos introduced me to your channel with the jollibee video and can't stop watching you man. Love your vibes and genuine love for good food and unlike a lot of mukbang content creators I don't feel...guilty? stressed? watching you since I know you take care of yourself health-wise. You got another subscriber in me!
I really salute you on your terminologies because you nailed it really. Its just like you researched for it and having that food like it's your traditional food. :)
Description of the foods are on point bro. 👍
This my 3rd time watching your channel and just subscribed. Love your enthusiasm, keep it up.
I'm so happy I finally made it to this video I don't think we have Chow King in Florida I have to Google it but it looks really good and I love the packaging of some of this stuff. Enjoy
The way you lit up trying Ube ice-cream for the first time...yeah...let this man savor every bite!!
Glad I found your content! Your mukbang is perfect, makes me wanna crave Chowking😋
You’ve warmed the hearts of Filipinos, def gonna subscribe🇵🇭
I love how you look like enjoying your food

I really enjoy your videos!! You truly enjoy our Filipino dishes!! Keep enjoying!! Subscribed!!
Not me watching this while fasting 🤣 love your content
Duuude your channel is growing fast recently. You deserve it considering the effort you put in these videos
You really need to try Tropical Hut in Maywood. They used to be in Hackensack behind Target on Main St by B&W Bakery. They have a few other locations too, but Maywood is the closest.
omg, when u put that soup into that rice, is so like Filipino! 🤣 I'm subscribing u bro 'cuz of that!
And thats how we usually eat them, a little of everything at the same time, mouth full. Man it makes me so hungry watching you bro 😋
I love it when you eat them, it’s honestly delish !
30:00 that's the best part, you get to spoon out the beans, sweets and others at the bottom.😁
MAX’S RESTAURANT NEXT PLS. Authentic Filipino cuisine! You’ll love it for sure
Must Try
-crispy pata
-kare kare
- max’s fried chicken
- sinigang or bulalo
-bbq pork skewers
