disclaimer: we remade the eggs for breakfast this morning and they were WAY better! I don't think we let the pan get hot enough first when we originally made them!
+CammieScott great to know there are vegan eggs and cheeses, haven't seen those before. I love almond milk, dairy products are indeed easiest to replace. But still like meat flavor, like bolognese pasta sauce, hard to find a good replacement for that. Anything other than beans nice for a rice dish?
+Bella Alice Swan Cullen Gardein brand makes pretty tasty vegan meat balls. I make bolonese pasta with those...I also use Follow Your Heart cheese and vegan hoagie rolls to make vegan meatball subs. OMG you won't feel like you're missing a thing. It's all about the flavors and seasonings you use. Check out The Vegan Corner for great meal ideas.
Cammie, I am so inspired by you! After watching your first vegan video, I decided to become a vegetarian! I had already been contemplating it, and your video really just showed me how important it is. That being said, I am still very nervous to become a vegan. I already spend so much money as a vegetarian; will being a vegan be even more expensive??
In the Netherlands meat is still cheaper than vegan/vegetarian alternatives. At least the imitation meat products, but they are getting better :-). Weird as they use less resources(land, water), they should be cheaper, right?
Cammie, not trying to be a buzz kill or demotivate you in any way, just want to share some vital information, mainly along the lines of this; becoming a vegan to help animals is one thing, but becoming a vegan to be more healthy is a COMPLETELY different story. My girlfriend started a vegan diet little over a year ago, and when she brought home VEGAN BACON I couldn't help but wonder WHAT IN THE HELL do they put in it to make it taste like bacon and taste so good?! Be careful for mocked meats and faux cheese and in general any packaged "vegan" foods. Most of them are loaded with processed fillers, preservatives and bad fats to extend shelf-life. 95% of Non-dairy milks have dangerous ingredients in them to mimic milk-like consistencies and add sweet flavors. Vegan cream cheese, butter and "creamy" pasta sauces are mostly filled with hydrogenated oils, starches and preservatives. Many restaurants will also use the processed vegan foods as it tastes better and will ensure the customer's return. It got to a point where I was the one doing all the research as I believed she was doing more damage to her body than good and the answer is as simple as any healthy diet - EATING REAL. Grill up some veggies and lather them up with good quality olive oil and spices and put that in your veggie burger. Search for recipes on how to make your own "chip dip" with fresh veggies, there are plenty, believe me. You can even make chocolate mousse with avocado and cocoa powder courtesy of Jamie Oliver and it is still healthier than processed "Vegan labelled" products. Just don't assume that that "Vegan" label means healthy.... is all I'm saying. Good luck with your journey.
+John McDaid Oh absolutely!! This video is definitely by no means about healthy vegan foods and instead junk food and the more "odd" things you can find! I typically never eat bacon, pizza, cookies, etc. vegan or not just because I'm a relatively healthy eater! These are by no means things you want to eat to be doing good for your body. That being said, I do enjoy showing people that vegan doesn't necessarily mean healthy! You can literally eat the exact crap you have been eating and just remove animal product. So if fear of being healthy (idk why but people are terrified to cut out crap ruining their body) from their diet, they can still do that lol Thank you for the info and don't worry, I do NOT eat this stuff typically!
+Cammie Scott Awesome! I wanted to say it might be a good idea for a video even, as some people lose sight of the "no animal product" and automatically think all vegan products are healthy. Thanks for the reply! My girlfriend says hi, you're doing a great job and your watch is what she wants for her birthday. Okay that's it, I'm out.
What's interesting is that I've watched many non-vegans trying these same products and they're like "Eww, this is disgusting, how can vegans eat this, absolutely terrible" and I'm like "Bitch please, it's delicious! Stop being ignorant" Love you girls ♥
well, it's what people like. I mean, they probably aren't as open minded about it, but if you find something disgusting are you gonna still eat it? the way they go about it is probably ignorant but yanno what I mean
+JasmineVeganatics Sadly it's because if someone puts the word "Vegan" a non vegan hater is going to obviously hate it. Most non vegans don't even consider some foods they eat happen to be vegan. As well as vegetables and fruits and nuts and seeds and tofu are vegan, it's crazy when they say vegan food is terrible when their food has either rotting flesh, pus, or hen period. non vegans are weird.
I have been eating plant-based for 5 weeks now, and I do not intend on stopping. However, I could use a few recipe ideas, so maybe you could make a vegan favorites video where you talk about your favorite vegan foods and recipes? :) Thanks for helping inspire me to jump on the vegan train xx
this video reminded me of the time this one girl tried to hit on me. she saw me eating vegan food then said "i'm not vegan but i can be the Shannon to your Cammie." it was cute and now were dating. :) you girls are a pick up line!
So proud of you Cammie!! You're making a difference :) It does get so much easier too. I've been vegan for 2+ years now and it's just become natural. I absolutely love what Shannon said about creating the demand for others too. Each person who goes vegan just makes it even easier for the next one
love you guys, im vegan (you inspired me) and I have been for two weeks now. also, thank you for being so awesome because of you guys I finally came out to TWO of my friends AND my sister!! :) thank you so much, your videos and shannons make me so happy, yall are so damn cute together as well.
Hey, sort of unrelated but on the note of trying new foods. If you like Aloe juice, there's a new type called Aloe Glow. it's aloe water so it's lighter and it's pulp free from california. 18 calories per serving, gluten free, 300mg organic aloe, 0 preservatives AND USA organic :)!
Loved this video.. There needs to be a part 2 asap, please.. My wife is in the transition of going Vegan, so it's always interesting to see what products are good and what are worth passing on. You girls are amazing btw!!
+Cammie Scott definitely a great video. Going to try out some of these products for sure! Not sure if there is a vegan blue cheese or not but regular blue cheese with pizza is more amazing than ranch and pizza...western NY thing!!
Same thing with gluten free! My aunt is super allergic to gluten so she has to ask all the time when she goes places and they can generally accomodate some things for her.
If you're looking for variations of veggies to go with rice and beans, I highly recommend the southwestern veggie stew my fiancée and I made recently. It's basically chopped okra, corn, green chilies, and peppers (green, yellow, red, whatever), simmered in a pot with a can of diced tomatoes. Add garlic salt, onion powder, and chili powder to taste. You can eat it as a stew, or we drained the tomato juice off and ate it as a veggie side with black bean burritos. Super colorful and really nutritious.
LAX recently added a vegan restaurant in their American Airlines terminal which is very convenient. Also follow your heart is one of my favorite vegan brands.
i love being vegetarian ive been vegetarian for 6 months. its hard sometimes but i do it for the animals. not really for health benefits so i find it hard to eat healthy lol. im going vegan but my mom doesnt like it so its hard to be vegan when the person doing grocery shopping isnt vegan hahaha. as soon as i move out 100% vegan .. i love ur vegan videos i was happy when you said you'd try going vegan for a bit... its so cool of you. :D
+Jess Kalford I hate when parents don't support something so positive. I guess they buy into the propaganda that the vegan diet is restrictive and unhealthy. Show your mom nutritionfacts.org you tube channel. Vegan doctors show all the research, links, and data. Hope that helps. Thanks for waking up to animal rights so young. It took me many years to figure it out. You rock!!
Pippi GlockenCake i think she is overall pretty supportive, she just refuses to buy me anything vegan. she is ok with vegetarian here and there if i ask, but for milk, eggs, etc. she says its too expensive to get almond milk and stuff like that for me. (because id be the only one eating it and itd just get too expensive) ive been looking for a job so i can pay for myself for vegan stuff though :) thanks for the site!! (also, yeah she thinks its unhealthy she keeps trying to make me go see a diet expert lol...) i keep trying to turn my sister vegetarian.. i think im getting there. ill keep trying with my mom and dad too but they are pretty set on meat ;(
Cammie try Field Roast Chao cheese slices wayyy better than Follow Your Heart! Also Kite Hill almond milk "Brie" cheese it's in the wooden container!! So amazing!
I travelled for a year and half.. there were some places that were difficult but for the most part it was easy for me. There is definitely a learning curve.. I just research vegan places before hand and that helps alot
You two are so cute!!! I think the only thing I had you ate was the cheese. Are you finding this stuff in whole foods? Interested in the bacon and eggs.
I'm working on becoming a vegan. I already was vegetarian, and i didn't drink milk, but the cheese was the hardest shit to tackle. I LOVE CHEESE. But i value animals lives more. And as for now i've been working hard on just eating plenty of veggies and non processed foods, and whole wheat products, and i've reduced my cheese intake by only like one slice a day compared to having lots of cheese with every meal.
Congrats on 4 months vegan Cammie!! Shannon, you're next!!! My partner also went vegan a year and a half after being an at-home, grocery shopping vegan. Good work both of you!!
I prefer scrambled tofu over the taste of eggs tbh. And they are way cheaper than the vegan egg to make :3 All you need to make it is tofu, nutritional yeast, turmeric and any other spices you like. It's like 1 to 2 dollars per person depending on the price of the tofu you buy.
I have been vegan for almost 3 weeks now and feeling a little discouraged in my meal limitations but y'all have definitely re-inspired me and gave me some new ideas! Thank you so much for sharing you journey in veganism with us all Cam!!!
The other thing about restaurants and for example I was in hospital and people sometimes think you mean vegetarian. I say yes + no dairy & eggs. It probably doesn't happen in LA much I bet though. I also wanted say props to Shannon, it makes such a big difference having a supportive partner. Mine is gluten free with me too:P I am so happy you are raising awareness Cammie! Thanks so much
Hey cammie where did you find the "follow your heart" brand for the cheese and ranch. I am a vegetarian that is learning dairy products are not healthy however cheese and ranch are my weakness.
Hey cammie and Shannon I recommend chao "cheese"! You can find it at your local Safeway. It's seriously so good and you can eat it by itself :) it also melts really good which is kinda hard to find with vegan cheeses. Great video like always :) I hope you guys have a great day!!
in Baltimore, Md if you ask to veganize something on a menu the workers at a restaurant act like you asking for their first born I hate it. So I only eat out at places that either are totally vegan or where I know most of the workers so veganizing is easy because they are also vegan or where I know that some of the stuff already is vegan.
I have been vegan for a bit over a year.. I have found that when eating out, asking for an allergy menu helps a lot. Loads of places either have the regular menu with notes by each dish saying if there is egg, milk, cream.. in them and it makes it easier to ask them to make slight adjustments (especially in ethnic food places where they might not speak english very well, LA is prob diff but the middle of nowhere that I am from ethnic places rarely speak the local languages). Other places have a big book somewhere with all their dishes and whether they are suitable for various diets/allergies . Makes eating out SO much easier because even if the people dont understand what being vegan is, you can usually look for yourself and make sure it is safe to eat. I have had incidents before where people didn't understand fully what being vegan is and assured me a dish was vegan only to be told the next time i went there that it wasn't... Checking the allergy infos helps avoiding those types of confusion..
thumbs up for that solid Doritos wink!
+nowthisisliving Ustedes son unas excelentes chicas.. Las admiro.. Saludos desde Ecuador
THAT WAS SPOT ON👏🏼👌🏼
+nowthisisliving the purple doritos are vegan!
I know right?!

+Stephanie DeOliveira not at all! being vegan hasn't been any more expensive. If anything, I save money from not purchasing expensive meat products.
+Cammie Scott Good to know! Thank you :)
+Stephanie DeOliveira Another good thing is that you just get way more conscious about what you put in your body 🙈
+Clara Keusgen that's a great point!
In the Netherlands meat is still cheaper than vegan/vegetarian alternatives. At least the imitation meat products, but they are getting better :-). Weird as they use less resources(land, water), they should be cheaper, right?
"can you check if it's vegan?" "it says Vegan Ranch" lmao Cammie you asked for the vegan ranch

You guys make me smile, genuinely. That's an achievement because lately its been hard to find things to smile about. I love watching you guys!
My mother doesn't even allow me to be a vegetarian. She said I either have to eat meat or fish. I chose fish but I don't like it. What could I do?
I just tried the benevolent bacon today for the first time and made a review video. 🤘🏻 Fun video thx for sharing. I need those cookies! 😋

You two are so cute!!! I think the only thing I had you ate was the cheese. Are you finding this stuff in whole foods? Interested in the bacon and eggs.
Hemp seed milk is super yummy as a coffee creamer *.*
Great video, where did you get the eggs, bacon and the name of them
Aww look at cammie 9:50 😄 she's crying because that cookies is really nice 😆 that's so adorable ☺️😁😄
Why does Shannon not want to become a vegan?
Just wanted to say that if your flying Emirates and Qantas they have some yummy vegan food, I had it recently when visiting New Zealand
Ahh I love this video! I wish I would live in America, then I could try the cookies 😱😍 Do you plan on making more videos like this?
Hey you have to try Katjes gummybairs from germany. Theyre soft and sweet and vegan! But idk if you can buy them in the us
I'm working on becoming a vegan. I already was vegetarian, and i didn't drink milk, but the cheese was the hardest shit to tackle. I LOVE CHEESE. But i value animals lives more. All you need to make it is tofu, nutritional yeast, turmeric and any other spices you like. It's like 1 to 2 dollars per person depending on the price of the tofu you buy.
Cammie where is your shirt from?! So cute
I have been vegan for almost 3 weeks now and feeling a little discouraged in my meal limitations but y'all have definitely re-inspired me and gave me some new ideas! Thank you so much for sharing you journey in veganism with us all Cam!!!
try the pizza with the "dough" of zucchini, Nuts and oil - so yummy!!! and instead of cheese on top I use almond butter mixed with a bit water. :D
Cammie crying for the best cooking ever was the best part hahaha. You're awesome guys!
Thanks so much
"I live here" *dead*
Where did u get your shirt ! Im obsessed
Cammie, where did you get the hoodie that you are wearing? I love it!
Hi so i have been looking for a good vegan pizza and i was wondering where you got the one in the video and whats the brand. Thanks i love you guys.
Came! Where did you get that pull over, it's s'cuteeee!! 👌🏼
Do more with Shan - she's too cute! loved this video definitely trying those cookies
2:08 Shannon.. that was glorious.
Shannon's facial expression though! Such cutie!
i know this is an older video, but where did you get your striped pullover with the drawstrings? i love it!

Great video :) May I ask where have you bought the sweater you are using, Cammie? :)
Cammie what store do you shop at for your vegan needs I'm starting 30 day transition Monday I'm looking forward to ideas 😊
My gf didn’t like ranch and now she has to get it with most stuff like fries, pizza, nuggets and salads (yes, she would eat her salads dry).
What for you was the cost difference for food in going from being an omnivore to a vegan?
I love the vegan ranch! I've been waiting to try the other dressing they have. Thanks for a fun video
Cammie where did you get your shirt? 😍
Definitely the best way to make a video! Love it! And now imma go get myself some soft bake chocolate chip cookies :)
Hey Cammie, I love your top! Where is it from?? Please reply, I need it in my life.
Where can you purchase the vegan eggs?
cammie where'd you get your hoodie/shirt thing haha i like it
+Cammie Scott Where did you buy the sweater that you are wearing on the video?
Checking the allergy infos helps avoiding those types of confusion..
liked it before I even watched it. I love both of you omg
