As impressed as I am with Eric's lead playing, I find his understanding of chords, harmony and rhythm equally as impressive. He uses such unconventional chord voicings, but they always just work. Eric is among the greatest guitarists of our time imo. 👍👌👀
There are a million versions of "Little Wing." This take sits at the very top of them all. Astonishing virtuosity revealing a beautiful soul of a complete musician and instrumentalist. I love how it's all directed out to the people there. A beautiful man making beautiful music.
So I’m a huge prob the biggest SRV fan his music brings me to tears . We’ll I found one up ERIC GALES….hands down most unique and inspirational guitarists to date
Yes Eric is very special and reminds of SRV in how the music is channelled and flows from the soul. See this in very few guitarists. Seeing Eric live is life changing as was seeing SRV.
When a man can walk a while down the darkest route to transcend a beacon of light never to forget that it was his closest friend in that darkness that pointed him back towards all that is illuminated to inspire but never to forget he will always be a manifestation of both love and sorrow.....now play that guitar child till you come back home and see me one final time. ☝️
I'm actually going to see Eric Gales at Sweden Rock this year can't wait for 10th of July! and as a guitarist who has been playing soon for 2 years he's damn good at that guitar!
I know this is a late reply, but that's him on his wah pedal making that effect. Wah pedals can easily sound cheesy with the wrong setup, but the rig that he's running through here (A DV Mark amp) mixed with that wah gives him an odd (But really cool and unique), almost "digital" sounding quack/tone.
@@jamesm2534 SRV was never a one trick pony. All the greatest acknowledged his playing like Clapton, Buddy Guy, King, Joe Bonamassa and so on. Your talking a totally different thing. your talking about writing music and I am talking about playing a guitar. too totally different subjects
Little Wing was perfection. This is Eric's interpretation. Inspiring on its own, but Hendrix took you exactly where you wanted to be. ruclips.net/video/KzmLdI_VC9s/видео.html

Hes passing chord ability is insane

This is Hendrix's song, NOT SRV
@@keithrichardscorpse1230ignorant take. Srv changed rhe song and the way it was played forever. Jimis creation, but srv really made it his own.
@@coconuts1483 false. SRV butchered it with his over-playing wankery

An amazing talent, and being able to play a right handed guitar up-side-down only adds to his mad skills.
Great videos of Eric Gales
Just awesome! Love The Music! :-)

Applause , appreciate your performance !
Eric clearly has the phasers set to "kill" during this set, "beam me up Scotty!!!"

He no Jimi or SRV but he nailing it. Great tune being played great
SRV was a one trick pony IMHO, never wrote one song I even remotely like. But to each his own, if u like him that's all that matters

Very few people can make me feel their music. EG can.
Agree 👍
It's really funny when the guitarist is really into it and the crowd is just like "meh"
How is playing bass?
Byron Carter
Je connais pas c'est ton chéri ?
Jimi hendrix on steroids
Go head
What the kind of people are there in the room, nothing moves!
All under an EG trance haha

I think he screwed with it way too much. It's one of Hendrix's Masterpieces
