I think you're massively under estimating the Osman Scipio combo. Bringing 20% more troops is huge and his tankyness makes Osman less of a glass cannon.

I am sure part of the reason why Scipio is popular is because Rome is the first civ show up when a new player pick civ. I bet a lot of people have difficulties to pick or just don't care and pick the first one, resulting Scipio popularity. Also, Scipio is quite good for F2P as no other epic commander is as tanky as him, making him quite good in expedition for F2P at least (as you often need something to attract fire in that mode)

After those three I will probably move to Kusonoki for epics. Need help with archers at this stage as I have no invested in any archer legendaries or epics to date. Not planning to with El Cid (YSG not out yet).

@chisgule I am in a kingdom that is currently around 60 days old I have been saving gold keys for the hero's that are unlocked at the 120 mark was this a good idea or should I spend these unlocking the current heros I was hoping to unlock khan as I heard he was good for calvary which I am full?

So I've been playing for about 2 years. How do I rate Scipio? Hes very tanky. HOWEVER... I don't think I've ever won a field fight with him. Yeah he lasts a while in combat, but he never wins. Absolutely useless. And as for attacking cities, there are better commanders....

Right now scipio is just good for bringing high marches or as a secondary buff giver.
